We reported earlier this week that Bobby Lashley & EC3 both finished with Impact Wrestling this past weekend at the television tapings and the belief is that they could be headed to WWE.

PWInsider reports that EC3 is completely free from his Impact obligations and is free to sign with WWE at any time. Lashley won’t be free until February 1st, so that would eliminate any chances of him making a special appearance at the upcoming Royal Rumble event.

Speaking of EC3, Dixie Carter posted the following on Twitter regarding his departure:

In recent years the WWE has shown us that they love nothing more than a good old dose of nostalgia. Vince McMahon loves feeding the WWE universe some member berries and with Wrestlemania season, and the Raw 25th Anniversary show right around the corner, you can expect to see plenty of familiar faces back in the WWE in the coming weeks. While many of these faces will be just be showing up for one-offs and cheap pops, there will be a few who will be returning to the WWE for one last run. 2017 saw the returns of The Hardy Boyz, Shelton Benjamin and most notably, Kurt Angle. So just who will the WWE drag back for one last run in 2018? Hell, some of these faces might even be competing in this year’s Royal Rumble as surprise entrants. Let’s take a look at which superstars will be making a return to the company in 2018.

Batista

Batista recently mentioned on a podcast with JR that he has been talking to Vince McMahon and that he has expressed his desire to make a full time return to the company in the very near future. Batista’s last run in the company, back in 2014, is better off forgotten but this time, there is no Daniel Bryan standing in his way and you’d imagine that the company will have learned their mistakes from his last outing.

Batista has also publically expressed that if he were to return to the company, he would want to feud with his former tag-team partner Triple H, and while the fans may not be lining up to see these stars of yesteryear squaring up once again, it is a small price to pay for all the potential dream bouts Batista’s return could give us.

• Celebration for new unified World Champion Alberto El Patron. He announces that his brother has joined GFW. Lashley comes out and re-match is setup for the main event.
• X-Division Champion Sonjay Dutt defeated Caleb Konley. After the match, Trevor Lee attacked Dutt and left with the title.
• Eddie Edwards, Grado, and VOW defeated Eli Drake, Chris Adonis, Fallah Bahh, and Idris Abraham.
• Matt Sydal dfeated Braxton Sutter.
• The Super X Cup competitors were revealed: Davey Richards, Andrew Everett, Dezmond Xavier, ACH, Drago, Idris Abraham, Ishimori, and Sammy Guevara.
•  Super X Cup: Dezmond Xavier defeats Idris Abraham.
• Knockouts Champion Sienna defeated Rebel.
• Gail Kim comes out and announced that 2017 will be her last year wrestling.
• A segment was taped involving Eli Drake, Chris Adonis, and a couple of bodybuilders.
• Super X Cup: ACH defeats Andrew Everett.
• Alberto El Patron vs. Lashley ended when LAX came out and attacked Lashley. Konnan announced El Patron is LAX’s newest member and El Patron left with the group.

ESPN recently interviewed TNA wrestler Bobby Lashley. Lashley spoke about a variety of topics during his time with them.

The former WWE Intercontinental Champion revealed in this interview, his exact feelings when he first arrived in TNA after having a successful run with the WWE. Here’s what the TNA World Champion said:

“When I came over from the WWE, I didn’t know what to think. Wrestling is wrestling. WWE is the flagship program, of course. But there’s just so much incredible talent [here]. …When I came over and worked with Bobby Roode, we did two matches together, I thought he was amazing. Amazing. The guy is really good. Bobby Roode is born to be their star. And I’m glad they found something with him. That ‘Glorious’ thing is pretty nice.”

Nashville (June 23, 2017) – IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Bobby Lashley made an unprecedented Presidential appeal on Thursday morning.

Via Twitter, Lashley (@fightbobby) asked President Donald Trump to be in his corner for his title defense at Slammiversary on July 2, when Lashley puts the gold on the line against Alberto El Patron.

El Patron earlier this week announced that his father, legendary Mexican wrestler Dos Caras, will be in his corner at Slammiversary.

Lashley asked Trump to join him at Slammiversary, which will be held on pay-per-view and filmed at the backlot of Universal Studios Florida in Orlando.

“Well, it looks like I need to find a cornerman for Slammiversary? @realDonaldTrump? It won’t be the 1sttime! #reallegend,” Lashley tweeted.

IMPACT Wrestling is waiting for an answer from Trump.
