During Thursday’s WWE NXT Live Event in Austin, TX., Adam Cole was busted open the hardy way in a six man tag between The Undisputed Era and Sanity. Correspondent Cody Walper sent along the following regarding the incident:

“They set up a spot on the floor literally right in front of me where Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly and Cole all got sent into each other head-first by Sanity and it sounded like a soda busting in a freezer. Cole bled heavily and got pulled to the back to get cleaned up. The rest of the guys did an awesome job buying time until Cole came back out (never once breaking character) and continued the match.”

The Undisputed ended up scoring the victory in the match.

After an incredible NXT TakeOver Brooklyn III (and a kind of lackluster main event in comparison), we finally saw Adam Cole make his long-awaited debut in NXT. Earlier this week, the news broke that Cole had officially signed with WWE, and tonight saw him show up after the finish of the Drew McIntyre/Bobby Roode NXT Title match alongside two men that made their presence felt after the NXT Tag Team Title match: reDRagon.

Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly, who had debuted on NXT television earlier this summer, both losing to Aleister Black in their first matches in the brand, beat down both The Authors of Pain and new champions Sanity before coming out with Cole to lay waste to new NXT Champion McIntyre after the end of the main event to close the show.

We had heard rumors swirling throughout the week about a Ring Of Honor-based faction in NXT, but it was one of those laughable rumors. Now, not so much. Throw Roderick Strong into the mix, and that would be a hell of a group to lead NXT into 2018.

Truth be told, this is the shot in the arm NXT needs. They’ve been in sort of a transition period this year, and having the new blood of Cole, Fish, and O’Reilly coming in to take on the new champions should be interesting, to say the least.

Paige on Her WWE Return

WWE superstar Paige and her Global Force Wrestling boyfriend Alberto El Patron were guests on SiriusXM’s Busted Open on Thursday, and she commented on her WWE status. Paige still expressed interest in returning to WWE. She has been absent following a neck injury, which also occurred as she served two suspensions – the first in August 2016 for 30 days and later in October 2016 for 60 days – for violating the company’s talent wellness policy.

According to Paige, she had a CT scan performed on her early yesterday and is anxious to work in the ring again, especially with the newer main-roster talent such as Bayley, Nia Jax, and RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss. Paige also shared her excitement for Naomi winning the SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Triple H Welcomes O’Reilly

During the August 2nd episode of NXT, viewers saw the surprise debut of Kyle O’Reilly. He competed in a competitive back-and-forth match against the undefeated Aleister Black. O’Reilly lost the match. After his match aired on the WWE Network, O’Reilly said appearing on NXT was a “huge victory” for him, his family and for fellow diabetics.  On Friday, Triple H tweeted a photo of himself with O’Reilly.

WWE NXT held its latest round of tapings at Full Sail tonight, and there were some interesting happenings in Florida tonight. After months of speculation, former ROH World Champion Kyle O’Reilly finally made his long-awaited NXT debut. And, the card for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III began to take shape.

Remember, these are spoilers for the next several weeks of television, so if you don’t want to be spoiled, don’t continue to read.

WWE NXT July 26th Episode

• Ember Moon defeated Lei’D Tapa. Ember says she wants to face NXT Women’s Champion Asuka at TakeOver.
• The Authors Of Pain are scheduled for a match with an enhancement talent team, but Sanity destroys the team before AOP can even get to the ring.
• The Velveteen Dream defeated Cezar Bononi.
• Drew McIntyre comes out and reveals that the main event for NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III is him vs Bobby Roode for the NXT Title.
• Kassius Ohno defeated Hideo Itami via disqualification. Sounds like Hideo turned full-on heel during this match.

WWE NXT August 2nd Episode

• Johnny Gargano defeated Raul Mendoza. Gargano has new music and a new entrance.
• NXT Women’s Champion Asuka accepts Ember Moon’s challenge for TakeOver, and the two women brawl with Ember laying out Asuka.
• Heavy Machinery defeated Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss.
• Sonya Deville defeated an enhancement talent.
• Hideo Itama and Aleister Black have a little run in before Black’s match.
• Black’s opponent is revealed as Kyle O’Reilly. Black defeats O’Reilly.

WWE NXT August 9th Episode

• The Authors of Pain and Sanity brawl.
• Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins defeat The Metro Brothers.
• Drew McIntyre, Bobby Roode, and Roderick Strong segment. William Regal makes a match between McIntyre and Strong for a shot at Roode.

WWE NXT August 16th Episode

• Danny Burch defeated Oney Lorcan.
• Andrade “Cien” Almas defeated No Way Jose. After the match he challenges Johnny Gargano for TakeOver.
• Ember Moon and Asuka contract signing.
• Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins defeated Lars Sullivan and Chris Silvio.
• Ruby Riot defeated Billy Kay.
