Karl Anderson shot down the possibility of The Club reuniting at tonight’s TLC event during the AJ Styles vs. Finn Balor match. Anderson responded to a fan who asked if he and Luke Gallows would be making their presence known during the match.

WWE previously announced that both Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson of The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express would be at the upcoming WWE Starrcade event in Greensboro, NC. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson took to Twitter and issued a challenge to the team for a match at the November 25th event.

While speaking to Al Arabiya, Finn Balor revealed that Karl Anderson (who worked with Balor in New Japan Pro Wrestling) once tried to talk him out of doing “The Demon” character prior to him using the gimmick in front of an audience.

“Honestly, the first time “The Demon” came, and it wasn’t referred to as “The Demon” at that point — I just wanted to use body paint,” Balor said. “The first time I did that, I said to my best friend Karl Anderson that I’m going to do this thing. I explained to him what I was doing and he said, ‘Do not do that, you’re going to be laughed out of the building.’”

Balor also went on to explain that the creative process for bringing “The Demon” to life is different every time.

“What happens is, on the morning — it’s like art. You can’t predict how you’re going to paint the painting in advance. If I’m going to draw something, I don’t know the day before what I’m going to draw. It’s just very much an interpretation of how I’m feeling that day, and what I think is the coolest thing in my brain at that very moment. I’ll have a couple concepts here and there, maybe I’ll do this, maybe I’ll do that, but the actual decision won’t come until about 6 o’clock when I sit down and start getting painted.”

This year’s SummerSlam is expected to run for at least six hours, according to multiple sources. The kickoff show is scheduled to start at 5PM and run for two hours with the main pay-per-view beginning at 7PM and lasting approximately four hours.

The pre-show is expected to feature at least three pre-show matches. Rumored matches include The Usos vs. The New Day, The Hardy Boys vs Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson and/or the Cruiserweight match or Big Cass vs. Big Show.

The Smackdown Women’s Championship match between Naomi and Natalya is also a possibility, but if there are plans to have Carmella cash in her Money in the Bank contract, it wouldn’t make sense for it to happen before the event officially starts.

One of the original planned matches for the SummerSalm Kickoff Pre-show included The Hardy Boyz squaring off against The Revival, however those plans will likely change with the recent injury to Scott Dawson.

It’s now being said that The Hardys will probably take on Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson instead. With the pre-show being 2 hours long, it is very possible that another match will be added to the Kickoff. There is talk that the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match between The Usos vs. The New Day could be moved to the pre-show.
