Jinder Mahal Injured?

It’s being reported that WWE World Champion Jinder Mahal is working through a shoulder injury over the past several weeks. He’s been taped up with kinesiology tape during house shows, but WWE doesn’t want him appearing on television that way. Good way to protect the champ, huh?

Also, it’s been revealed that Mahal will be defending his title against Kevin Owens during December’s India tour.

Jeff Hardy Update

As we’ve been reporting over the past weeks, Jeff Hardy has recently undergone two separate surgeries to repair a shoulder injury. Both surgeries were a success, but it’s still believed that Hardy will be out of action until after WrestleMania 34.

Finn Bálor On Bray Wyatt

During a recent podcast appearance, Finn Bálor spoke about his seemingly never-ending feud with Bray Wyatt.

I’m loving it. I’m seeing it as a challenge; it’s something new, it’s something fresh. I’ve been wrestling for almost 18 years now. I’ve done grappler versus striker, striker versus wrestler, high-flyer versus mat technician, I’ve done every style of match that you could possibly think of. And to be put in this situation, with probably one of the most interesting characters of our time, and being given to work with this opportunity in this program and adapt to the situation and learn his character and figure out how he works… it’s been a challenge for me. You can only get better by challenging yourself. I don’t know how fans are reacting to it, I don’t know how critics are reacting to it, but for me, I’m welcoming the challenge and I’m enjoying it.

I think the biggest challenge is getting the opportunity to talk more than I had previously been given the opportunity to do. I’ll be honest, I’m not someone who likes to go out there and talk, I like to have fun, but I kind of have to adapt to this storyline. There’s a lot more talking involved and it’s something I know that as a performer I have to improve on my talking skills… It’s a new challenge. It’s something that keeps me pushing myself and I feel like I’m growing and developing another skill set.

Jeff Hardy Scheduled For 2nd Surgery

As we reported earlier today, Jeff Hardy underwent successful surgery yesterday for a torn rotator cuff. But, he’s not in the clear yet. He’ll be having yet another surgery next week for a torn labrum in the same shoulder. This won’t add any time to his being on the shelf, though. His recovery time is still expected to be around 9 months.

More Members For The Club?

During a recent interview, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows were asked who they’d like to add to The Club.

Anderson: “Sasha Banks, she could manage us! That’s what so cool though, you could even go old school, I mean everyone knows our history with Finn Bálor and some of the other guys from our time in Japan.”

They were also asked about their goals for their futures in WWE.

Anderson: “We’d like to be the Tag Team Champions again, we’d like to walk into [WrestleMania] as champions again, that was such a cool moment that you can never take from us.”

Gallows: “Walking down that ramp with our belts above the ring, feeling that wind blowing. Can still see it all, John Cena and Nikki Bella were warming up before they went out there, we came back through the curtain and there Triple H getting pumped up before he went out. That was cool, that’s the dream being on that show with all those guys there.”

Update On John Cena’s WWE Schedule

Earlier this week, we reported that John Cena was scheduled to appear at Survivor Series next month, possibly facing Bray Wyatt. But, as of today, WWE has removed him from the event, so it looks like Cena won’t be back in the ring until the end of the year.

WWE has added him to both RAW and SmackDown Live shows, though, all taking place after Christmas.

• RAW live event at MSG on Tuesday, December 26th.
• RAW live event in Uniondale, NY on Wednesday, December 27th.
• RAW live event in Albany, NY on Friday, December 29th.
• SmackDown Live event in Tampa, FL on Saturday, December 30th.

Jeff Hardy Undergoes Successful Surgery

Jeff Hardy went under the knife yesterday and had successful surgery for a torn rotator cuff. Hardy injured his shoulder on RAW a couple of weeks ago, and with how things stand now, he’s expected to be out for 6-9 months. This mean that he will more than likely miss WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.

But, at least he seems to be in good spirits.

AJ Styles Not Wrestling On SmackDown Live

No doubt fans have noticed that AJ Styles hasn’t been wrestling as much on SmackDown Live lately. While the US Champion has been appearing on the show, mostly in a commentary role, he’s not been having actual matches. It’s being reported that Styles is being kept out of the ring in order to keep fans around for the dark matches after 205 Live.

They did the same with Shinsuke Nakamura when he debuted on the blue brand, so it appears that WWE is using their top blue brand names to keep the fans to stick around to see them…as well as 205 Live every Tuesday.

It would be nice if WWE promoted the Cruiserweight Division properly so fans would want to stay just to see that, and maybe the addition of Enzo Amore to the division will help achieve that.

WWE RAW superstar Jeff Hardy will undergo surgery for a torn rotator cuff next week. According to WWE, first announced through their app alert, Jeff’s injury occurred during last Monday’s Six-Pack Challenge to determine the No. 1 contender for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, which Jason Jordan won. WWE Senior Ringside Physician Dr. Stephen Daquino confirmed the injury and its extent.

“Jeff is dealing with a rotator cuff tear right now. It’s a full thickness tear of his supraspinatus tendon and a couple of other areas in the shoulder. He’s going to go for evaluation and probably for surgery next week.”

Jeff said he thought his injury was a dislocated shoulder. His procedure is scheduled for October 3. He added:

“Once they get in there, they’ll figure out more about what they have to repair. But for sure, the rotator cuff has to be repaired, and then they’ll look at the labrum when they get in there.”

“It’s depressing. More than any time in a career, it’s those times that make you go, ‘Wow, I love professional wrestling.’ It sucks that I can’t be involved in [a] match or can’t get in there and do what I normally do because I’m injured, but I just have to get over that, stop worrying about it and look forward and push myself to get repaired and healed and come back better than every with a brand-new shoulder.”

Jeff Hardy Working Hurt?

Last night at RAW’s Sacramento house show, Matt Hardy went solo in his match against Karl Anderson. This could because his brother Jeff is working hurt. It’s being reported that Jeff is dealing with a significant shoulder injury that could require surgery.

It’s unknown when the injury happened, and what Jeff will end up doing, so we’ll keep everyone updated on his injury as more information comes to light.

Updated No Mercy Betting Odds

WWE No Mercy is a little over 24 hours away, and the betting odds are changing and shifting as the event draws closer. Unlike earlier in the week, clear favorites are apparent now, with Brock Lesnar heavily favored to retain his WWE Universal Title. Roman Reigns is favored to defeat John Cena, and the RAW Tag Team Champions are odds on favorites to retain their titles.

With that being said sources claim that The Hardy Boys will be trying hand first in New Japan Pro Wrestling. If that is true, this would be treat as the ‘broken’ gimmick will add 7 stars to the promotion.

EDITOR’S VIEW

The Hardy’s edition to the roster of WWE is going to be fantastic but having seen what WWE has done with many talents in the past, it is better that The Hardys move to a promotion which recognizes its talents in a much better way i.e. NJPW. Also Matt Hardy’s gimmick has been done so brilliantly that if it comes to WWE than the company will piggyback on it like they have done quite a few times. All in all no matter this 2.0 Version of both the hardy boys is guaranteed to entertain us.

Earlier Broken Matt Hardy made a surprise appearance video pre-recorded video at tonight’s ROH Final Battle pay-per-view in New York City, and delivered a surprise message to the Young Bucks and the Briscoes following their excellent match for the ROH tag team titles.

The most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that Matt & Jeff Hardy’s, as well as Drew Galloway’s, TNA contracts expire next month. As of the release of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter none had been signed to new deal.
Apart from this there are rumors that WWE has always been keen to bring both the Hardy Boys back into the company and as the Wrestlemania times are flaming up bringing in the hardy boys will bring in big money into the business as both are in their best times.

In regards to The Hardy Boys the Observer reports that there is interested from WWE in bringing them back to the company. As of now however things are looking pretty good for them to stay with TNA. It sounds as if they have two options available with TNA:

A guaranteed deal that would give them full control of their outside bookings

Or, another guaranteed deal where TNA would have to approve their outside bookings

Meltzer notes that Matt is leaning towards staying with TNA while Jeff has yet to come to terms on a variety of dates per year since TNA plans on running a more regular house show schedule.

As of now Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy are both enjoying their wrestling careers travelling around the world and Matt Hardy has always been hitting on WWE.

These are the words that have echoed in uncountable wrestling arenas from the time Matt Hardy or Broken Matt made them famous. Now that Matt Hardy is in best part of his career as a second run in the world of pro wrestling, WWE must be looking to sign Broken Matt. As per the rumors going around, WWE is very much interested in signing Matt & Jeff Hardy both back to the company. Broken Matt and Brother Nero’s contract expires next month with TNA.

On Monday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer weighed in on the possibility of Jeff and Matt Hardy returning to WWE, and what it’ll take to bring them back.

“For Matt, I don’t see him going to WWE. The odds are better now than they were a couple months ago, because he wouldn’t have gotten pushed [in WWE] as the old Matt Hardy. He would’ve just been there to job and he could make more money and keep his rep better and work his own schedule [in TNA]. Now you could make the argument that, with this gimmick, he could merchandise this gimmick and make a killing in WWE. The thing is, with TNA, he’s gonna have creative control of his thing, which he would not have in WWE.”

“And Jeff, I don’t know. Jeff may wanna stay with Matt and just do this gimmick as well. Jeff has no need to go [back to WWE]. They’re both making really good money, they both saved a lot of money. Jeff’s body is really beat up, and it’s a really hard schedule. I know there’s probably a thing in Jeff’s mind about going back there for one last run, and that last bit of exposure. It could happen. Jeff going back there with his body as beat up as it is… he’ll be a star there because he has a lot of charisma, more than most of the guys that are there. But I don’t see them putting him in the championship picture.”
