– With their recent tag title wins in NXT, Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly are the first team in history to win tag team titles in WWE, NJPW and ROH.

– Mick Foley is going back to touring comedy clubs from April through June with 20 shows. The hook for the events will be it being the 20th anniversary of his Hell in the Cell match with The Undertaker in 1998.

– James Ellsworth will be taking indie bookings starting in mid-February, when his 90 day non-compete with WWE ends.

– John Cena is currently out promoting the movie “Ferdinand.” The movie will be released on December 14th.

James Ellsworth Released

Former enhancement talent-turned WWE Superstar James Ellsworth has been released by WWE.

Ellsworth, 32, first appeared as a “Rosebud” with former WWE Superstar Adam Rose before before being fed to Braun Strowman in July of 2016. After being utilized in storylines with A.J Styles and Dean Ambrose on SmackDown Live, Ellsworth aligned himself with Carmella, helping her win the first women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Two weeks ago, Ellsworth was laid out by Carmella after his match with Becky Lynch in what would turn out to be his last appearance with the company.

Triple H vs Roman Reigns In Abu Dhabi

Jinder Mahal isn’t the only guy Triple H will be facing when WWE heads to the Middle East and India next month. WWE has announced that The Game will also be facing off with Roman Reigns on the December 8th show in Abu Dhabi. This show is apparently taking the place of the New Delhi show that was originally scheduled for the 8th.

Also scheduled for this show is the RAW Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Sheamus facing Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose in a Steel Cage match. No word if the titles will be on the line.

As seen at last night’s NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III, Adam Cole made his long-awaited debut alongside his fellow ROH buddies, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly. Fish and O’Reilly first beat up the participants of the Tag Team Championship match and returned once again at the main event of the night to beat up the new NXT Champion Drew McIntyre, alongside a debuting Adam Cole.

Cole’s return garnered a lot of reactions from his fellow pro-wrestlers. Finn Balor, Matt Hardy, James Ellsworth and Cole’s best friend, Kevin Owens all took to Twitter to welcome him to the WWE.

Eric Bischoff expressed his displeasure over the decision on his podcast, “Bischoff on Wrestling”. Here’s what Bischoff said:

“I think it’s a bad move. It’s a mistake I’ve made in the past. Sometimes you learn from your mistakes. At least, sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. When you build up to a big event on PPV and you build up the stakes and you build up the expectation and you basically deliver a screwed finish and then re-match it on free TV. It diminishes the long-term expectation of future big event matches on pay-per-view when that happens. I think it’s a really bad idea. By the way, I’ve done it and the results were always negative”

Bringing Ambrose from the top card, where he was locked in a fued with ”The Phenomenal” A.J. Styles, to the upper mid-card was met by skepticism from some and seemed as a demotion of sorts for Ambrose.

On January 3rd edition of WWE Smackdown LIVE, Dean Ambrose pulled off a victory over ‘The A-Lister’ The Miz in the main event and captured the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

However, Vince McMahon, who made the call to put the Championship on Ambrose, has full confidence in him. He thinks that Ambrose can keep the IC title relevant in the same way as The Miz, who’s been pleasing the officials and fans with his stellar performances both in-ring and on the microphone.

After failing in an attempt to regain the WWE World Championship at WWE TLC PPV from A.J. Styles, Ambrose was booked to face The Miz on the following Tuesday on SmackDown LIVE for the Intercontinental Championship. However, he proved unsuccessful after ”The Chinless Sensation” James Ellsworth again interfered and ‘unintentionally’ cost him the match, allowing ”The A-Lister” to steal the victory.

After defeating Apollo Crews for the IC Title, The Miz ridiculed and left Renee Young red-faced in the post-match interview by talking about her real life relationship with Dean Ambrose which kickstarted a feud between Ambrose and Miz.
This week on WWE Smackdown Live, both Ambrose and Miz made their intentions clear to participate in the Rumble match at the Royal Rumble PPV in San Antonio, TX.

Nick Jackson of the infamous tag team ‘The Young Bucks‘ poked fun at The Undertaker‘s light work schedule over recent years, comparing him to Santa Claus. Even though Undertaker recently underwent hip surgery, when he made his return to WWE Smackdown LIVE about a month ago, he did indicate a potential match before WrestleMania (vs. John Cena) and there were also rumblings of him competing in the ring at the Royal Rumble PPV (vs. AJ Styles), but nothing has been set in stone, yet.
