Hideo Itami used a different finisher on this week’s episode of 205 Live, despite using the GTS on Monday’s episode of RAW.

Itami defeated Jack Gallagher with Neville’s Rings of Saturn finisher. While not confirmed, it’s now being speculated that WWE could be taking away his GTS finisher due to the injury to Brian Kendrick on Monday’s episode of RAW.

Ric Flair Talks 30 For 30

Ric Flair’s ESPN 30 For 30 documentary premieres on November 7th at 10:00 pm EST, and The Nature Boy has been making the media rounds, promoting the show. During a recent interview, he spoke about the one part of the documentary that was difficult for him to get through.

“The only hard part was what I experienced with the stuff with Reid. I expected negative comments from my kids. That didn’t surprise me and I couldn’t be upset about it. What people need to understand is that I am not a Doctor, or Lawyer, I am a Wrestler.”

Jack Gallagher On Vince McMahon & 205 Live

During a recent appearance on Ring Rust Radio, WWE Cruiserweight star Jack Gallagher expanded on his work on 205 Live and working with the WWE Cruiserweight Division.

“For me, it’s not escaping the division, it’s about elevating it. NXT went from a developmental system which was considered a step-down, to a completely separate brand unto itself where people are stars and they sell out stadiums and they tour by themselves. In my head I think, if we all work hard, then 205 Live becomes good, the division becomes good, the division raises, and then there are more opportunities and then there are more interesting things for everyone as well.”

He also paints Vince McMahon, and his relationship with WWE’s Chairman, in a positive light.

“The relationship with Vince McMahon, he is surprisingly approachable. Growing up watching WWE or WWF as I did growing up, you think of Vince McMahon as this larger-than-life scary character. He is a larger-than-life character, but he is very welcoming, charming, he sits down and if he has time in his busy schedule, which is rare, but if he has time in his schedule, he has time for anyone.”

As noted earlier today, NXT newcomer Lio Rush took to Twitter to crack a joke about Emma being released from the WWE. This didn’t sit well with many within the industry and Rush issued a statement claiming that his tweet was “blown out of proportion.”

Jack Gallagher took to his Twitter account and ripped Rush’s apology and suggested that he take English classes while he’s at the WWE Performance Center.

Welcome to the fastest hour on television, 205 Live!

TLC is this Sunday and we have two Cruiserweight matches lined-up for the show – if I’m not mistaken that’s a first for the division. Cedric Alexander has found himself on the losing side of a battle with Jack Gallagher and Brian Kendrick as of late but he’s suddenly found himself a partner in the form of Rich Swann. These two teams will do battle at TLC on the Kick-Off show this Sunday, but I expect some more fireworks tonight as both teams look for some last minute momentum.

A week after losing his Cruiserweight Championship to Kalisto, Enzo Amore returned to Raw and berated the new Champion before having him beat-down thanks to the help of Noam Dar, Tony Nese, Drew Gulak, and Ariya Daivari. It’s unclear why these guys helped Enzo, a couple of weeks after beating him to a pulp. Regardless, Enzo finally has some friends in the division and that should help him in his quest to regain the Championship from Kalisto this Sunday. Mustafa Ali came to the rescue of Kalisto but he too was beaten down, which leads me to believe that we’re going to get a big Survivor Series match between the babyfaces and the heels of 205 Live. During 205 Live Tuesday night, Jack Gallagher got involved in the match between Brian Kendrick and Cedric Alexander. When it looked like Gallagher was going to attack Kendrick, he hit Alexander with his umbrella instead.

WWE reported that Jack Gallagher needed four stitches after his No DQ match against Brian Kendrick on 205 Live this week. Jack is expected to get the stitches out within the next 10 days.

Gallagher was busted open after Kendrick repeatedly drove Gallagher’s head into the ring steps. The match was stopped with the blood being cleaned up leading to them quickly going to the finish.

The King has been dethroned! Akira Tozawa defeated Neville on Raw last night to become the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion! It was a fairly surprising event but the fans in Boston loved it and tonight we’re set for a celebration from Titus Worldwide. Will the celebration go down peacefully, or will the former Champion have something to say? The latter seems most likely as Neville has already invoked his rematch clause for Sunday!

On last week’s show, TJP defeated Rich Swann clean in the middle of the ring. This ongoing rivalry has been edging closer and closer to not being friendly and last week Swann laid down the gauntlet, challenging TJP’s attitude. With TJP continually coming out on top in the past month, it’s unclear where the rivalry goes, except for a full heel turn from TJP, which is kinda murky because he already turned heel and sided with Neville. Hopefully we get a better idea tonight of where things are headed.

Dunne’s U.K. Title Defense in the Big Apple

WWE and PROGRESS Wrestling announced WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne will defend his title against Gentleman Jack Gallagher. The match won’t take place in a WWE ring but instead at PROGRESS’s New York City-based event scheduled in Queens on Saturday, August 12. In a video provided through PROGRESS, Gallagher revealed his match against Dunne was sanctioned by NXT General Manager William Regal. Dunne is also the PROGRESS World Champion but that title won’t be on the line.

Dunne and Gallagher do have WWE-related history. Both men previously fought during a PROGRESS match to determine which wrestler would advance to WWE’s Cruiserweight Classic in 2016. Gallagher won the match.

Lesnar vs. Joe’s Live Event Match

From Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena last weekend, WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Samoa Joe fought in a rematch of their Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view match. Lesnar won the match, which was not televised or screened on the WWE Network. On Monday, the WWE uploaded highlights of the match that saw Lesnar retain the championship.

As Top Rope Press reported, the show mainly featured the SmackDown Live roster, but the addition of the two RAW superstars added a special feel to WWE’s final show at the Joe Louis Arena.

Next week’s show takes place from from Dayton, Ohio and airs on the WWE Network after Smackdown concludes on USA Network.

As seen on tonight’s episode of RAW, there was a beach ball being tossed around in the crowd along with “CM Punk” chants from the fans in attendance. This all went down during the Austin Aries & Jack Gallagher vs. Neville & TJP match.
