WWE announced that the NXT Live Event scheduled for Friday at the Mark Lance Armory in St Augustine, Florida has been canceled due to the National Guard using the armory for Hurricane Irma relief operations. The company sent out the following tweet:

Hulk Hogan recently tweeted a message saying that victims of Hurricane Irma who didn’t suffer enough according to Hogan’s standards were “crybabies.”

Hogan, who lives in Clearwater Florida, referred to victims who lost their power and water supplies as “crybabies” who could have had it much worse.

Hogan got backlash as the tweets sparked outrage on social media.

Replying to a tweeet of support, Hogan called some victims “spoiled” who need a headbutt from Kevin Owens for complaining about the hurricane.

Hurricane Irma has caused at least a total of 82 deaths, with 43 in the Carribean and 39 in US in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. A criminal investigation is also going on into a Hollywood, Florida nursing room that lost power in the storm and claimed eight lives.

Lawler is joined on today’s show by his co-host Glenn Moore.

Lawler says his residence in Florida was lucky enough to escape the wrath of Hurricane Irma. He couldn’t believe the strength of this storm, and there were a lot of people who didn’t get quite as lucky as he did.

A listener writes into the show and asks Lawler if WWE-contracted Superstars are able to wrestle at indie events. Lawler says performers signed to contracts in WWE aren’t able to wrestle at indie events, but there are some cases where third party bookings occur when an indie promotion pays WWE’s fee to utilize a certain Superstar.

On the five year anniversary of Lawler’s cardiac arrest, Lawler and Moore discuss the events of that evening.

Moore points out that there are actually some conspiracists out there who don’t believe Lawler suffered a cardiac arrest that evening. They believe that it was all a part of a WWE storyline and that it was all a staged event. Lawler says that he can’t remember anything about it and he hasn’t had any lasting side effects from it, so sometimes he thinks it was all a hoax as well.

WWE announced the that NXT tapings at Full Sail University have been postponed due to Hurricane Irma. The tapings will not take place on the following night.

Due to weather over the past few days the NXT TV Taping @FullSail has been moved to THU 9/14.
