While speaking with TMZ, Ronda Rousey denied reports that she will be participating in the Women’s Royal Rumble match this Sunday and revealed that she will be shooting a movie instead.

“I’m actually leaving to Colombia right now to finish shooting ‘Mile 22’ and won’t be back until mid February,” said the former UFC Fighter.

Ronda also mentioned that she has not signed a contract with WWE.

While speaking to UK’s The Sun, Finn Balor was about the rumors of Conor McGregor possibly working with WWE and mentioned that it would be a huge benefit to everyone in WWE is Conor showed up.

“I try and keep myself out of rumors, but it is Conor McGregor and the WWE. It’s a huge coupe for the WWE. Without a doubt the biggest sports star in the world right now. He would bring a huge amount of eyes to our product, which would benefit everyone in WWE.”

In regards to McGregor possibly making an appearance at WrestleMania, Balor said he’d be open to the opportunity of getting into the ring with the MMA Fighter because it would be a beneficial to him.

“I hope there’s an opportunity for a story to emerge. We’re all looking forward to having Conor at WrestleMania…If I was given the opportunity to get in the ring beside Conor, or across the ring to face him, it would be huge for me.”

While speaking with Sports Illustrated, Braun Strowman talked about his off-camera relationship with Roman Reigns and mentioned that he believes Roman Reigns and himself are the best athletes in the world.

“Roman’s work ethic is just like mine. We go out every night, we give 100 percent of what we have to go, we put our bodies on the line and we know that, at the end of the night, we’re going to have you on your feet, you’re going to be hoarse, and you’ll be going crazy because we did our job entertaining you. From top to bottom, we’re the best athletes in the world.”

When asked about UFC Fighter Conor McGregor possibly joining WWE, Strowman suggested that 205 Live would be a better fit.

“McGregor might make it on 205 Live, but he doesn’t want to step in the ring with me.”

While speaking to Inside The Ropes at a SummerSlam press event this week, Becky Lynch talked about her on-going feud with UFC Fighter Cris “Cyborg” Justino and hinted at some sort of  confrontation with Cyborg this weekend at SummerSlam.

When the interview asked her about the possibilities of a match between the two at SummerSlam, Lynch responded, “Have a match at SummerSlam? I believe I’m here at SummerSlam. I don’t see Cyborg anywhere. Do you?”

She continued, “Where is she? Come at me bro. I’m ready, I’ve been ready. We fight 300 days a year. Not just twice a year, 300 days a year. Come at me! I stay ready.”

UFC Fighter Jon Jones indicated on Twitter that an appearance at the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view has “crossed his mind.” These comments were made after a follower on Twitter asked if he planned on showing up ringside at the event in Brooklyn, New York.

As previously noted, Jones called out Brock Lesnar at UFC 214 last month. Lesnar immediately commented on Jones’s challenge. “Be careful what you wish for, young man,” Lesnar replied to The Associated Press.

Jon Jones is apparently interested in a WWE payday, according to WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross.

Jim Ross wrote about the the possibility of Brock Lesnar facing UFC Fighter Jon Jones in a new blog entry on JrsBarBq. Ross brought up how he has heard that Jones is actually interested in a WWE payday at some point.

“Jon Jones challenged Brock Lesnar after Jones KO win over Daniel Cormier at UFC 124 Saturday night and the UFC found out when they needed to know and that it that the public will buy a Bones-Brock battle in the Octagon. I’m thinking to the tune of 1M buys on PPV when this one likely happens in 2018. This main event gives UFC a ‘hit,’ without question, while they await other stars to either return to form (GSP) (McGregor) or continue to evolve as legit, PPV selling main eventers.

Also, I don’t see any scenario at this time that would drive any wedges between Lesnar and WWE regarding the WWE star being able to go collect a massive, seven figure plus payday while keeping his name in the public eye.

Ironically, word on the street is that Jones is also interested in a WWE payday some day in the future which adds some irony to the Bones-Brock UFC scenario. Athletes are arguably smarter today than ever before and they realize that these massive paydays are not going to last forever plus the fact that no one ever has ‘enough money’ contrary to public sentiment from those who actually don’t have enough money.

Bones hand speed and reach will be problematic for Lesnar when they do tangle as Brock’s striking defense will have to be spot on if the bigger grappler has any chance of winning on his way to a fully stocked pay window.”
