It was reported last month that both Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens had backstage heat on them after they were kicked off the European tour for going into business for themselves in a segment with The New Day on SmackDown Live.

Dave Meltzer indicated in the latest installment of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Kevin Owens doesn’t have any heat on him anymore but Sami is a different story.

“It appears that all the controversy regarding Owens from when he and Zayn were sent home is gone, but the same isn’t the case of Zayn,” Meltzer wrote. Meltzer didn’t elaborate any further on the topic.

We go to the back where Brian Kendrick is in the interview area. We take a look back at what happened last week between Jack Gallagher and Brian Kendrick. Brian is asked if watching that was difficult. It just proves his point that Jack Gallagher does not have what it takes. He had a chance to compete and fight him, but Jack found a way to get disqualified. He was a coward and a clown. If you want to say that Jack showed a vicious side, who cares because he won. That is all that matters. Brian says he is moving on to his neck chapter.

We are back and Corey Graves is in the ring to interview Akira Tozawa. Corey congratulates Tozawa on his road to this point and he says Tozawa has some momentum on his side. That momentum will have to wait as Neville makes his way to the stage and he has a mic. Neville asks Corey how long has he known him and he wants to know what Corey is doing to his show. You are interviewing the challenger while Neville sits in the back and twiddles his thumbs. Neville says this is his show so Corey should be interviewing the King of the Cruiserweights. Neville says that Corey is trying to hype the match but Neville says he is the hype. He is 205 Live and Tozawa is no competition for the king. You should be asking him the important questions while Tozawa throws the chair to the floor and he removes his jacket and rolls up his sleeves.

Tozawa tells Neville he has a question for him. Corey moves out of the way. Neville says that he is out here to save the WWE Universe from his poor English. Tozawa asks Neville how will he feel when he beats him for the title at Summerslam. Neville laughs and Tozawa kicks Neville and goes up top but Neville goes to the floor to avoid Tozawa. Neville tries to get back into the ring but Tozawa kicks Neville away.
