Justin Barasso of Sports Illustrated indicated that Enzo Amore’s rape accusations were not the only reason WWE had to re-write parts of the RAW 25th Anniversary show this past week.

Barasso reports that RAW wasn’t finalized until 5PM ET because Jimmy Fallon was unable to show up early enough for the pre-tages and segments with the WWE Legends. Plans for backstage segments with Fallon, including the general manager segment, ultimately became introductions and waves to the crowd.

PWInsider reports that Enzo Amore was originally scheduled to appear on Monday’s RAW before the rape allegations against surfaced online.

WWE reportedly had plans for Enzo to face off against Goldust in the third hour of the show from the Barclays Center. The match would have seen The Dudley Boyz coming out and getting involved after Enzo’s attack on Goldust and Cedric Alexander. It would have concluded with Enzo being put through a table.

Once WWE made the decision to suspend Enzo and remove him from the show, they re-wrote the segment to feature Titus O’Neil & Apollo Crews vs. Heath Slater & Rhyno with the Dudleys putting Slater through a table. Goldust and Alexander were removed from the RAW plans as a result of the changes.

WWE announced that Enzo Amore will defend the Cruiserweight Title against Cedric Alexander at the Royal Rumble event.

Enzo Amore, who was pulled from his Cruiserweight Championship match against Cedric Alexander this past week on RAW, returned to action at Friday’s WWE Live Event in Evansville, Indiana.

Kurt Angle announced on Twitter that Enzo Amore has been pulled from the Mixed Match Challenge due to having the flu.

As previously reported, Enzo Amore was sick earlier today and had to be hospitalized.

In an update, Enzo posted a new video announcing that he has been discharged from the hospital and will compete on tonight’s episode of RAW in his scheduled bout against Cedric Alexander.
