Russo is joined on today’s show by “Starmaker” Kenny Bolin.

Bolin speaks about his rocky friendship with Jim Cornette. He informs that he’s been friends with Cornette for many years, but they’ve had their disagreements during that time as well. Just recently they had a huge fight which led to Bolin leaving Cornette’s podcast, and joining Russo here on The Brand. Luckily the two old friends were able to make up and thinks were looking fine again.

Just last week, Cornette called Bolin while he was recording a podcast with Russo and Bolin answered. This led to Cornette’s voice being heard on Russo’s podcast, and Bolin immediately felt bad about this given the history between Cornette and Russo. He called Cornette and told him what had happened; Cornette hung up on him and he hasn’t heard from him since.

Bolin says that sometimes Cornette acts like a 5-year old bipolar kid who refuses to take his medicine. He’s sick of Cornette bullying him emotionally because this type of thing has happened many times in the past. They’ve actually had physical disputes in the past as well and Bolin always came out on top in those, but Cornette’s emotional games have really taken a toll on him.

Russo points out that he, Cornette and Bolin are all in their mid to late 50s, and none of this childish crap should matter to any of them. Bolin agrees and says he’s done with Cornette because he refuses to be a part of this nonsense moving forward. He adds that Cornette should “…get some help because normal people don’t act like you.”

Ross welcomes PWTorch’s Wade Keller to the show to discuss Sunday’s Clash of Champion’s PPV.

Keller thought Clash of Champions was a fine show, but there weren’t any defining or memorable moments  that would have made a great show. The main event match between A.J. Styles and Jinder Mahal was okay, but not great, and the Daniel Bryan/Shane McMahon storyline failed to give viewers a big payoff.

Ross calls Charlotte the greatest women’s wrestler he’s ever seen, and he refers to her as the female version of 1980’s Hulk Hogan in the sense that she’s bigger, tanner and more impressive looking then all of her competition. Keller agrees and mentions that he expected Smackdown Live to be A.J. Styles & Charlotte’s brand when WWE conducted their Superstar shakeup months ago. Hopefully now that she’s holding the Women’s Title she can claim her rightful position as a major part of the show.

Ross asks Keller what he thinks about the ongoing Twitter dispute between Jim Cornette and several indie wrestlers, including The Young Bucks. Keller says that his views on how the business should be presented are more in line with Cornette’s, but he differs with Cornette in the sense that he wouldn’t want to ridicule someone for enjoying a different style of wrestling.

Matt Morgan recently spoke with the Wrestling Inc. Podcast. Here are some highlights from the interview:

WWE officials telling him to start wearing a mask to improve his character: “They put a mask on me, first they said because it was going to improve my body language. What? Anyways, you shut up and do what you’re told. So I went to wrestling practice with a hood and a mask, and then I’d be on TV with a mask,” Morgan explained. “So Jim Cornette was like, ‘How the hell do I explain this? You’re the top babyface, you’re the champion, what do I do?’ So I lost a Loser Leaves Town match, come back as The Blueprint and wear a hood and I’m not Matt Morgan anymore, I’m just The Blueprint.”

The mask being part of the plan to turn him into Kane’s Brother: “The cool part was they were going to turn this into, I was gonna be Kane’s brother Abel,” Morgan said. “And I would’ve killed for that! I would’ve worn a hood gladly for that just because I’m a huge ‘Taker and Kane fan. What leads to Kane leads to ‘Taker, right? Nine-year-old Matt Morgan inside was going bananas.”

So what happened?: “Vince (McMahon) stepped in and came up with stuttering Matt Morgan.”

Welcome to Monday Night Raw, just 24 hours removed from WWE No Mercy!

No Mercy was a big event that received mixed reviews. Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman didn’t deliver the chaotic, explosive main event that everyone expected. The two had a solid match but it ended rather quick with an F5 from Lesnar. I think fans left a little disappointed, especially since one F5 to Strowman seemed a little quick. Rumour has it that the feud is over and Finn Balor may be the next to challenge Brock, which leaves Braun in a weird position. Let us know what you want to happen!

Roman Reigns defeated John Cena in a match that would give Jim Cornette a heart attack. Reigns kicked-out of four AA’s, including one from the top rope, which seemed a lot like overkill. The match was fine but it was a little too much to get Reigns over. After the match Cena stuck around in the ring and the fans thanked him, which felt a lot like a goodbye for big match John. Tonight Reigns appears on Miz Tv to discuss his victory, which will kick-off the show!

Elsewhere on tonight’s Raw, Alexa Bliss retained her title and will look to celebrate, the new Cruiserweight Champion, Enzo Amore, makes an appearance, and Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose seek new opponents for their Tag Team Titles. As seen on Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling, GFW continued the angle with Lashley teasing choosing MMA over wrestling. Lashley ended up picking MMA over professional wrestling.

The company issued the following storyline statement regarding Lashley’s status with the company:

“IMPACTWrestling.Com received the following message from Jim Cornette, “due to the heinous actions of Lashley and American Top Team on IMPACT Thursday night, we have made the decision not to give Bobby his unconditional release from his valid contract. Lashley will be at our disposal when required. That is all.” What that means is Lashley remains under contract. Stay tuned for more.”

Jim Cornette revealed on his podcast that he is not signed to a deal with Global Force Wrestling despite returning to the company at Thursday night’s Impact tapings in Orlando, FL.

Cornette said that he was recently contacted by Anthem and was working directly for them. He’s not a member of the official roster and has not signed anything with Global Force Wrestling aside from the clearances to allow his likeness to be used on television.

Cornette also mentioned that he’s not interested in working for the company or any company on a full-time bases. Cornette says he will appear on TV “when there is a reason for him to appear.”

Ross opens today’s show by discussing his thoughts on Paige. Ross isn’t sure whether we’ll see Paige back in WWE again, but as someone who has been around her in the past he’d love to see her return. Her skill set is amazing and when she’s in a competitive environment with a group of peers, there are few better on WWE’s roster than Paige.

Ross thinks the rumoured bout between Brock Lesnar and Jon Jones will happen in 2018, and he thinks it will surpass 1 Million buys on PPV. Ross believes Lesnar will continue to work for WWE because he gets paid very well for the limited work he does in that company, and he’s very good at his job. Ross also thinks Lesnar might have some trouble with Jones’ length and hand speed.

Ross welcomes WWE Hall of Famer Sunny to the show.

Sunny talks about her onlyfans.com page, and about the type of content that’s on there. She says that some women have full pornography videos on there, and some more women just post flashy selfies with no nudity at all. Her page falls somewhere in between because she does have some nudity on there from time to time.

Ross asks Sunny how she got her start in professional wrestling. Sunny informs that she was always a fan of the business and she was dating Chris Candito in the early 1990’s. At one point her and Candito had a meeting with Jim Cornette, who was very interested in bringing Sunny in to work for Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Sunny was in school at the time, but Cornette insisted that she take a 6-month leave from school because that’s how long the angle would run.

Bischoff is joined on today’s show by his co-host Nick Hausman.

Bischoff comments on the news that Vince Russo filed a restraining order against Jim Cornette recently. He simply calls this action by Russo ‘bizarre’, and he’s getting sick and tired of talking about Russo. At first it was fun to poke fun at Russo because he’s so easy to get fired up, but at this point it’s just silly.

Hausman mentions that initially fans thought all these verbal jabs between Russo, Cornette, Bischoff and Prichard were a work, which would ultimately result in some live debate tour featuring all men. It’s obvious now that was never the case. Bischoff mentions that we was offered a pretty good pay day recently to do an in-ring segment with Russo for an indie promotion in P.E.I.,Canada. Even though the money was good, he turned it down because Russo is just too weird to be around.

Bischoff thought the Samoa Joe/Brock Lesnar segment from RAW this past week created some mystique, and that’s something that has been sorely missing from WWE’s product lately. Joe is a great character, and luckily WWE has made a commitment to Joe’s character because now Joe comes off as a believable threat to Lesnar. Bischoff thinks Joe will give Lesnar some of the best matches he has had in recent memory.

Ross congratulates new ROH Champion Cody Rhodes on capturing the Title by defeating Christopher Daniels last weekend. He says that he’s sure his old friend Dusty Rhodes would be so proud of Cody if he was still alive, and Ross couldn’t be prouder of Cody as well for everything that he has accomplished since leaving WWE.

Ross welcomes Jim Cornette to the show.

Ross asks Cornette if he still enjoys doing his podcast and Cornette says that for the most part he does. Some days he has to really grind in order to get through a two hour show if there isn’t a lot to talk about or if he’s just sick of his own voice, but for the most part it’s still very fun for him.

Cornette and Ross talk about the changing landscape of the professional wrestling business. Ross thinks that modern fans simply know too much about the business, and Cornette agrees. Cornette says that fans can’t just sit back and enjoy the product anymore, they need to overanalyze and criticize everything. He says that just because he watches Family Guy doesn’t mean he thinks he can write that show.

For those not keeping track, the two have been bad mouthing each other on their podcasts ever since the “Table for 3” episode aired on the WWE Network that saw both Eric Bischoff and Cornette making remarks about Russo.
