WWE issued a new survey asking WWE Network Subscribers about what types of programming and features they would be interested in watching as part of a premium price on a tier network. Here is what they sent out:

New Reality Shows: Reality shows featuring life on the road for WWE Superstars, an insider’s view of WWE Superstars’ intense training and workout regimens, WWE Superstar “Cribs”, WWE-style “Apprentice” to win a job at WWE, or WWE Legends’ House Season 2 – Attitude Era

Tournaments: New in-ring tournaments such as a Pro Am style tournament (WWE vs. NXT), a Lucha tournament, a tag team tournament, or King / Queen of the Ring tournaments Other Promotions: Historic and new programming from ICW, PROGRESS, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, or other regional Indie promotions

WWE “Director’s Cut”: Shows that put a new twist on classic content such as WWE Legends narrating historic pay-per- views or current WWE Superstars providing their perspective and analysis of classic matches and events

Audio Channel: A section of WWE Network for “listening only” that provides audio play- by-play of pay-per- views, music playlists, “sports radio” style call-in shows and podcasts

House Shows: For the first time ever, get a live, ringside view of select WWE house shows  TV-14 In-Ring Show: A “new” weekly version of ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) or other “edgy” new promotion rated TV-14

Original Scripted Comedies: Comedies such as WWE Superstar Roasts, Southpaw

Regional Wrestling, or WWE’s version of “The Office”

Ring of Honor: Historic and new programming from Ring of Honor

Original Scripted Dramas: Wrestling-themed series inspired by wrestling’s colorful and rich history such as WWE’s version of Game of Thrones

I’ve mentioned before that I believe Chad Gable is destined for big things. I’ll say it again. He’s destined for big things. When WWE does decide to showcase him more, they’ll have to do it right. His first few opponents will play a very big role. Look at AJ Styles; by working with Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns, and John Cena, he proved that he was ready to be a champion.

Gable, of course, will not be afforded the same treatment as AJ Styles. They will not let him feud with some of the company’s top stars right away. His opponents will still matter, though. They will need to bring out the best in the former Olympian and help him showcase his talent. I believe these three people will do just that.

Dolph Ziggler

Yes, I would very much like it if Dolph “Heat Vacuum” Ziggler fought with Mr. Chad. Why would I want Ziggler, the man who had a stinker of a match with Shinsuke Nakamura (at the latter’s debut, no less), to feud with the former Tag Team Champion? It’s quite simple.

Ziggler is a former amateur wrestler as well. A quick Wikipedia check reveals that he once set the record for most victories for Kent State University. Between 2000 and 2003, he won 121 times. He’s also a three-time All-Mid-American Conference champion. Not bad. In fact, it’s very good.

A fight against Gable would bring out Dolph’s more technical, mat-based style. The whole style in general is not something we see too much of in WWE. It would be a fresh encounter, and Ziggler the veteran can help Chad improve what he needs to. With both men grappling and actually wrestling, it would make for a fun contest. It won’t be Kurt Angle v. Brock Lesnar, but it’ll be something.

Lawler is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jerry Lawler.

Lawler begins today’s show speaking about the MizTV segment from RAW this week, which featured LaVar Ball and his two sons. He says that this was certainly a silly segment, but it undoubtably accomplished its goal of getting people to talk about Monday Night RAW.

Lawler says that ‘wrestling purists’ who had a major issue with this segment need to chill out and settle down. WWE tries to be topical and if they have an opportunity to bring someone on RAW who has been in the public eye, they’ll do it every single time.

Moore mentions that Cody Rhodes dropped Lawler’s name on his conference call earlier this week. Rhodes was asked who he’d like to wrestle moving forward and he said Kenny Omega and Jerry Lawler. Lawler says he’d absolutely accept the invitation to face Rhodes one on one, and he anticipates that could happen in the very near future.
