We reported earlier today that Jim Johnston may have been released from WWE but at the time of press it was only a rumor by a questionable source. It  has now been confirmed that Jim has been released from the company.

Bryan Alvarez was asked about the rumors of Johnston’s release on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live and co-host Mike Sempervive said he has confirmed with someone with ties to the company that Johnston is no longer with WWE.

As of this writing, WWE has not made any official announcement.
