Tommaso Ciampa could be making his return to WWE very soon.

An individual on Twitter asked Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer if Ciampa would be able to return in time for the upcoming NXT Takeover event in Philly. While Meltzer doesn’t know an exact date when he will return, he did suggest that Ciampa could be returning “soon.”

Ciampa underwent multiple surgeries back in August. Those surgeries included his right ankle, right shoulder, and left shoulder. Tommaso was expected to be out of action for the first couple of months of next year to recover from these surgeries but it now looks like he could be returning earlier than expected.

NXT Superstar Tommaso Ciampa has undergone three surgeries in the past 12 weeks, all performed by Dr. Jeff Dugas at Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

The first surgery was on his right ankle, the second was on his right shoulder, and the third was on his left shoulder. Tommaso is expected to be out for the rest of the year and will most-likely miss the first couple of months of 2018.

Tommaso posted the following on Twitter regarding the surgeries:

12 weeks. 3 surgeries. 1 goal.
