It appears that WWE UK Superstar Tyler Bate will be appearing on tonight’s episode of 205 Live.

WWE posted footage of Bate backstage and mentioned that the new (unnamed) 205 Live General Manager has invited him to the show and it has something to do with the Cruiserweight Championship.

As of this writing, Cesaro & Sheamus are a (-150) favorite over current RAW Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Jason Jordan (+100).

For the SmackDown Tag Team Champions Best 2 out of 3 Falls match, Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin are favored at (-162) over The Usos (+120).

It’s very possible that we could see another shift between now and Sunday, especially after “smart money” bets start to roll in. We will keep you updated.

Dave Meltzer mentioned on the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that everyone involved in the women’s Royal Rumble match is wanting to know exactly what’s going on. Many “sense” that Ronda Rousey will be debuting in the match and possibly winning it.

Meltzer discussed the spot that saw Asuka dominating the other women on Monday’s RAW, and it seems to suggest that she won’t be winning The Rumble as WWE usually doesn’t telegraph their outcomes in that manner.

On scenario presented is that Rousey could appear in the match along with Asuka and be the last two competitors. Rousey would throw Asuka over to win and then in the weeks following, Asuka could be Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Championship, setting up a title match against Rousey at WrestleMania 34.

Samir Singh revealed on Instagram that he suffered a torn ACL during the angle on last week’s episode of SmackDown Live. The injury occurred at ringside angle during the Bobby Roode vs. Jinder Mahal US Championship tournament match.

While Sing did not reveal how long he’s expected to be out of action for, it’s believe that it could be six to nine months for the recovery of that injury.

Last week I tore my ACL and it goes without saying that this past week has been very emotional. The more I think about it, the less it makes sense. All I know is that God is the sovereign of my life and that everything that comes to pass is his blessing. I thank you all for the continued love and support. I can’t wait to be back.

WWE announced that Daniel Bryan will address the state of the Cruiserweight Championship in the opening of tonight’s episode of 205 Live. Here is what they wrote on their website regarding tonight’s show:

“With questions surrounding the status of the WWE Cruiserweight Championship and rumors circulating about a potential General Manager for WWE 205 Live, SmackDown LIVE GM Daniel Bryan has been asked to address these issues on behalf of WWE to kick off tonight’s episode of WWE 205 Live.

Among the topics Bryan may address is the status of the WWE Cruiserweight Title. Will Cedric Alexander still have his long-awaited opportunity to claim it at Royal Rumble? Bobby Roode vanquished Jinder Mahal in the finals of the United States Championship tournament. He outlasted seven other men to walk away victorious. It’s a brave new world for Roode.

Who will be next to face the Glorious One? Who will step to him and demand a shot at the star-spangled gold? Here are some bold predictions.

Dolph Ziggler

We’ve still not seen good ol’ Dolph Ziggler rear his head after seemingly vacating the US Championship. In fact, even commentary doesn’t mention him too much. They’ll just say the title is vacant and there’s a tournament for it. It’s kind of funny.

I don’t really think that Ziggles is coming back for the US Championship. I don’t even know if he’s coming back at all. Should he do that, then I think he and Bobby Roode could have some good matches. Their 2/3 Falls match last year was actually pretty good. If their matches are like that, then it should be fine.

I think that maybe Roode should retain against Dolph Ziggler should he return. Having Dolph win would be interesting, but the Glorious One is on the rise and the title is what he needs right now to cement his spot.
