Daniel Bryan Reveals the Chances of WWE Allowing Him to Wrestle Again
…
Cody Rhodes is the new ROH Champion after last night’s Best in The World pay-per-view event. However, the Grandson of A Plumber was busted open early on into the match by his opponent, Christopher Daniels.
According to Wrestling Observer, the American Nightmare needed six stitches on his busted upper lip. A headbutt by Daniels is the cause of this minor injury.
While appearing on Busted Open Radio, Austin Aries mentioned that he will be taking time off from WWE to heal some nagging injuries.
“I’ve got some stuff going on, but just to be fair you could probably say that for a lot of the locker room. It’s kind of part of what we do, I don’t think anyone is ever 100%. So I got a couple things going on and obviously at this point it might be a good time to take a little break which really could consist of two days to just adjust some of those things, try and get my mind and my body right and then come back and figure out what’s gonna be next and what the direction’s gonna be.”

Chris Jericho revealed on Busted Open Radio that original plans for him at WrestleMania 33 saw him winning the WWE Universal Title from Kevin Owens. This obviously didn’t happen and plans got changed because Vince McMahon wanted to put the title on Goldberg instead.
According to Jericho, he would have defeated Owens and then drop the title to Brock Lesnar at the next RAW-brand pay-per-view event, Payback.
Also during Jericho’s appearance on Busted Open Radio, he revealed that he pitched the idea of wrestling a match against Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania.
While appearing on Busted Open Radio, Jim Ross confirmed that he will be doing the play-by-play commentary for the upcoming WWE Women’s tournament which will take place this summer.
