Many are speculating that Brock Lesnar may have been delivering legitimate punches to Braun Strowman’s head during the WWE Universal Title match at Sunday’s Royal Rumble event.

The incident occurred after Braun connected a stiff knee to Brock’s head. Brock immediately got up and connected with some blows that many are saying were real. The audio feed had to be silenced multiple times after it seemed like the two were taking shoot punches at each other.

The Miz is being advertised for next week’s episode of RAW from the Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, RI. The Miz has been off WWE television filming the next installment of The Marine alongside Becky Lynch and Shawn Michaels. Michaels mentioned back on December 2nd that there would be three weeks of filming, which would put his return at next week.

As previously reported, WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will also be returning on next week’s show. Check back here on Monday for our live play-by-play coverage of the event.

It was previously reported that Brock Lesnar may not return to WWE television until sometime next year, however that’s not the case. The Dunkin Donuts Center announced on Twitter that Lesnar will be appearing on the December 18th episode of RAW.

This appearance will be the night after SmackDown’s Clash of Champions event when WWE starts the build towards the Royal Rumble event in January.

As seen on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live, Daniel Bryan mocked Paul Heyman’s segment with Brock Lesnar from RAW this past week by portraying the “personal advocate” for AJ Styles. Also in the segment, AJ called out Brock Lesnar for losing his first UFC Fight by submission.

Jinder Mahal appeared on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live and challenged WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar to a match at the upcoming WWE Survivor Series event.

WWE announced that Lesnar will be at next week’s RAW to answer the challenge of Mahal for a match at the Survivor Series pay-per-view event.

WWE is planning for Universal Champion Brock Lesnar to face WWE Champion Jinder Mahal in the main event match for next month’s Survivor Series pay-per-view event, according to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.

Neither title is expected to be on the line in the match. Dave Meltzer speculated earlier this week that Finn Balor would be challenging Brock for the WWE Universal Title at Survivor Series, but those plans appear to be off.

Survivor Series takes place on Sunday, November 19th, 2017 in Houston, Texas. As always, we will be providing live play-by-play coverage of the event.

While it’s well-known withing the Internet Wrestling Community that Brock Lesnar’s contract is set to expire shortly after WrestleMania 34, he isn’t the only WWE Superstar who’s contract is coming up.

According to Fightful.com, both The Big Show and Daniel Bryan’s contracts are set to expire next year — The Big Show’s in February and Daniel Bryan in September. It is very possible that Bryan leaves the company to return to the indie circuit and The Big Show may take on an ambassador or backstage role.

In regards to 2019, Paige and Mauro Ranallo’s contracts will run out if they are not renewed. While Paige’s exact expiration date is unknown, Ranallo’s expires in June of that year.

We’ll keep you updated if we hear anything else regarding other WWE Superstar’s contracts expiring.

X-Pac opens today’s show by discussing last Sunday’s No Mercy PPV. He says he attended this event live and was in the Gorilla Position with Triple H and Vince McMahon when Cesaro went face first into the corner ring post. He says Triple H was actually speaking to him about something when that happened, and Vince McMahon immediately started screaming at Triple H to get on the headset and figure out a way to get through the match with Cesaro bleeding everywhere.

X-Pac thought that tag team match was the best match on the card, and he was terribly dissapointed by the main event match between Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar. He thought WWE threw this big-time match down the drain in an underwhelming 8-minute match, and blew a chance to draw big money at a PPV down the road.

He also wasn’t a fan of the way the finish was booked because although it’s never a bad idea to give Lesnar a convincing win, Strowman shouldn’t be the guy to put Lesnar over convincingly.

X-Pac thought John Cena and Roman Reigns had a great match, but he feels that both men had more to give. He says that both Reigns and Cena have had several incredible matches over the duration of their careers, and he thinks these two guys can get to another level if they’re given another opportunity to work together.

Dave Meltzer reported on the recent installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that Finn Balor will most-likely be the next challenger for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship. That match is slated to take place at the upcoming Survivor Series event. Officials within WWE has discussed plans for this match on multiple occasions.

Before Balor squares off with Lesnar at Survivor Series, he will continue to work his on-going program with Bray Wyatt. The blow-off match between the Balor and Bray will go down at the October 22nd TLC event.
