Dave Meltzer reported on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that the original main event plans for the upcoming Clash of Champions event on Boston, Massachusetts would see Jinder Mahal defending his WWE Championship Title against AJ Styles.

With the company making a last minute change this week and moving that match to this upcoming episode of SmackDown Live, it’s very possible that those plans could have changed. Meltzer couldn’t elaborate if that match is still in the plans or not anymore but we will keep you updated.

WWE Clash of Champions takes place on December 17th, 2017. As always, we will be providing live play-by-play coverage of the show.

While speaking to Boston Wrestling Sports, John Cena Jr. talked about his dislike for WWE Champion Jinder Mahal and said he doesn’t believe he’s a good champion.

“I don’t think he’s a good champion, I don’t think he’s a worthy champion,” Cena Sr. said. “I think they need to get somebody in there that can get people involved in the championship matches… I don’t think he’s the man for the job.”

“I’m not impressed,” Cena Sr. continued. “There are other people I can see holding that belt.”

Welcome to the fastest hour on Television, 205 Live!

The King has been dethroned! Akira Tozawa defeated Neville on Raw last night to become the new WWE Cruiserweight Champion! It was a fairly surprising event but the fans in Boston loved it and tonight we’re set for a celebration from Titus Worldwide. Will the celebration go down peacefully, or will the former Champion have something to say? The latter seems most likely as Neville has already invoked his rematch clause for Sunday!

On last week’s show, TJP defeated Rich Swann clean in the middle of the ring. This ongoing rivalry has been edging closer and closer to not being friendly and last week Swann laid down the gauntlet, challenging TJP’s attitude. With TJP continually coming out on top in the past month, it’s unclear where the rivalry goes, except for a full heel turn from TJP, which is kinda murky because he already turned heel and sided with Neville. Hopefully we get a better idea tonight of where things are headed.

It’s worth pointing out that WWE apparently doesn’t have any plans for the WWE Roadblock event this year. It’s possible that they have dropped the event entirely. We will keep you updated if we hear anything.

Brock Lesnar is not scheduled to make an appearance on tonight’s episode of RAW.

Kurt Angle is expected to announce plans for Lesnar defending the WWE Universal Title at WWE SummerSlam tonight. It’s being rumored that he will be announcing a Fatal 4-Way for the Championship.
