WWE has released NXT Superstar HoHo Lun, according to an exclusive report by WrestlingInc.

Lun was part of the WWE Cruiserweight Classic and defeated Ariya Daivari in the first round of the tournament but we eliminated in the second round. Since then he has worked a few NXT television tapings, most recently losing to The Velveteen Dream. WWE also used him for NXT Live Events.

As previously noted, WWE is making budget cuts in order to increase their bottom line profit margin. It was rumored that the company may be making a few roster cuts.

As seen at Sunday’s WWE Battleground event, Nakamura won his match against Baron Corbin via disqualification when he was nailed in the crotch by Corbin. PWInsider reports that a rematch is set to take place between the two at tonight’s SmackDown Live Event from Richmond, Virginia.

Speaking of tonight’s tapings, Neville will face Ariya Daivari and Cedric Alexander & Rich Swann will team together to take on the team of Tony Nese & TJP.
