WWE announced today that Vince McMahon will be making a “major sports” announcement today at 3PM ET. Many are speculating that the announcement will be the re-launch of the XFL in 2020.

The re-launch of the XFL has been rumored for several weeks now but isn’t expected to kick off until 2020. We heard ramblings of a possible announcement earlier this week and it appears that it this could very well be that announcement.

Before Samoa Joe suffered his foot injury, there were plans in place for him to do an angle with John Cena at the upcoming Royal Rumble event. With Joe unable to appear on the show, it appears that the spot will now be given to Elias instead and he will do whatever spot that Joe was originally supposed to do with Cena at the pay-per-view event.

As previously reported, Joe’s return has been pushed back and he’s not expected back until the end of March. With Cena rumored to be facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania this year, it’s possible the plans that WWE had for Joe and Cena will be completely scrapped.

USAToday reports that Ronda Rousey is finalizing plans to switch her career from UFC to WWE. Although not yet officially announced by WWE, it appears as if Rousey will be making her way to the squared circle in the near future.

Rousey has been rumored for several months to be involved in either a 4 Horsewomen vs. 4 Horsewomen or singles match against Stephanie McMahon or Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34. She has been training recently in California and at the WWE Performance center.

Former WWE Superstar Simon Gotch will be making his debut for Ring of Honor at this weekend live event in Florida. The company released a vignette for his debut and it appears that he will be doing some sort of MMA gimmick with the company.

There is a rumor floating around on social media that Neville quit WWE and walked out of last night’s RAW. Additionally, Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet.com metnioned he hasn’t been able to confirm these rumors but there appears to be some truth to the story and it’s possible that Neville asked for his release.

As noted earlier today, Neville was originally scheduled to face Enzo in the Lumberjack match on RAW. It’s being said that Neville was supposed to lose the match. This probably didn’t sit well with the 205 Live Superstar.

WWE was handing out sample editions of the latest WWE Kids Magazine during the recent European tour. What was most noticeable about the magazines was the inclusion of Hulk Hogan on a double-sided poster with other WWE Legends.

With WWE using Hogan on these posters, it could be an indication that he is headed back to the company. It’s been speculated that once the Gawker sex tape news simmered down, he would be brought back to the company in some capacity. It appears that the company appears to be slowly bringing him back, as he has been featured in advertisements on the WWE Network and they re-added content that features him.
