Drew Baydala of Ticket King Online, who has broken several WWE stories in the past, announced on Twitter that a Legends Battle Royal is set to take place on tonight’s RAW 25 Anniversary show.

PWInsider reports that WWE has booked former wrestling personality Eric Bischoff for the January 22nd RAW 25th Anniversary show in New York City.

This would mark Bischoff’s first appearance for WWE since 2007, when he appeared in a segment with Chris Jericho on the Raw 15th Anniversary special.

After Bischoff left WWE, he worked with Impact Wrestling as an Executive Producer and was involved in several TV series.

In recent years the WWE has shown us that they love nothing more than a good old dose of nostalgia. Vince McMahon loves feeding the WWE universe some member berries and with Wrestlemania season, and the Raw 25th Anniversary show right around the corner, you can expect to see plenty of familiar faces back in the WWE in the coming weeks. While many of these faces will be just be showing up for one-offs and cheap pops, there will be a few who will be returning to the WWE for one last run. 2017 saw the returns of The Hardy Boyz, Shelton Benjamin and most notably, Kurt Angle. So just who will the WWE drag back for one last run in 2018? Hell, some of these faces might even be competing in this year’s Royal Rumble as surprise entrants. Let’s take a look at which superstars will be making a return to the company in 2018.

Batista

Batista recently mentioned on a podcast with JR that he has been talking to Vince McMahon and that he has expressed his desire to make a full time return to the company in the very near future. Batista’s last run in the company, back in 2014, is better off forgotten but this time, there is no Daniel Bryan standing in his way and you’d imagine that the company will have learned their mistakes from his last outing.

Batista has also publically expressed that if he were to return to the company, he would want to feud with his former tag-team partner Triple H, and while the fans may not be lining up to see these stars of yesteryear squaring up once again, it is a small price to pay for all the potential dream bouts Batista’s return could give us.

Ross opens today’s show by clarifying his recent remarks in which he suggested that Hulk Hogan will probably return to WWE at some point in the future. Ross received backlash from some people who felt like he was dismissing Hogan’s past usage of the “N” word, and Ross says that couldn’t be further from the truth. He simply believes that Hogan is a huge part of WWE’s past, and it makes sense to him for both parties to reunite at some point in the future.

Ross points out that he called the first ever Clash of Champions with Tony Schiavone many years ago, and all the talk about this upcoming Sunday’s show is bringing back a lot of great memories for him. He also adds that he’s really looking forward to the WWE Championship match between Jinder Mahal and A.J. Styles because in his opinion, Styles is still the greatest in-ring worker in the world.

Ross announces that he and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler will be making appearances on the 25th Anniversary edition of Monday Night RAW on January 22nd. He’s not quite sure what they’ll be doing on the show yet, but he’s just happy to be involved.

Chris Jericho makes a surprise call into the show to promote his upcoming Cruise. Ross takes this opportunity to ask him about his recent physical interactions with Kenny Omega. Jericho says it was great to finally work with Omega and calls him a great worker. He also says he was very happy with how their entire angle played out, with Omega being busted open and bleeding everywhere.

Russo says he has been under the weather lately. He has been dealing with some allergies and this has resulted in him developing vertigo. He has had this numerous times in the past but it’s always very unpleasant. It usually lasts for two weeks or so and he’s trying to be patient as the sickness passes, but it’s becoming very annoying now.

He says that he and his wife travelled back to Colorado over the weekend for a couple of days and he was very happy to be back in Colorado. He says there’s a massive difference between living in Colorado and Indiana, and quite frankly, he’s really bored with living in Indiana.

He says that in Colorado, people seem to care about what happens around them, and they care about advancing their lives. Indiana is very depressing to him, and there doesn’t appear to be any room for personal growth whatsoever. His wife is making $10/hr as a teacher, and he just desperately wants to move back to Colorado.

Russo says his daughter and one of his sons didn’t even call to wish him and his wife a happy anniversary last week. He says his daughter was at a wedding that day and was probably fairly busy, but his son is 30 years old and should know better. He calls his son a ‘bum’ because it’s just not right that he didn’t call them on their anniversary.
