As seen at Saturday’s NXT Takeover: Philadelphia event, Andrade “Cien” Almas defeated Johnny Gargano to retain his NXT Championship, while Aleister Black defeated Adam Cole in an Extreme Rules match.

Dave Meltzer reported on today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE is building for a showdown between Aleister & Almas for the NXT Championship at the next over Takeover event during WrestleMania 34 weekend.

Speaking of the next Takeover event, Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly are expected to defend the NXT Tag Team Championship titles against Sanity.

* Dark match: Candice LeRae defeats Vanessa Borne

* Kassius Ohno vs. Raul Mendoza.

* Shayna Baszler vs. Dakota (This is Shayna’s debut match) The match ended abruptly after Shayna destroyed Dakotas elbow. Ember Moon ran out to make the save.

* Lio Rush (Has been absent for sometime) vs. Lars Sullivan. Lars picks up the win. After the match, Lars challenges Killian Dain to a match and hits an avalanche Freak Accident on Rush.

* The Undisputed vs. SAnity never takes place because SAnity get attacked by Cole, Fish and O’Reilly backstage. Nikki Cross tries to avenge her teammates but referees hold her back. William Regal announces Roderick Strong & Aleister Black vs. The Undisputed.

* Roderick Strong & Aleister Black vs. The Undisputed defeated Roderick Strong & Aleister Black. The match saw Adam Cole run interference and get Black distracted fighting him through the crowd After the match, William Regal announces Aleister Black vs. Adam Cole in a Extreme Rules Match at NXT Takeover Philadelphia.

Billi Bhatti of Dirty Sheets has leaked footage that was allegedly taken during WrestleMania 33 of Scott Hall having alcoholic beverages with Ric Flair.

According to the report, Flair and Hall were having drinks (presumably Orlando, FL) at 11am the weekend of WrestleMania. Bhalli claims that he has had the footage for sometime now and just recently decided to leak it after his online altercation with NXT’s Aleister Black.

In the footage, Flair is spotted on his cell phone with a drink in front of him sitting next to Scott Hall. In the closing of the video, you can see Hall reach for his beer.

WWE may be creating a new stable in NXT that consists of former Ring of Honor talent.

PWInsider reports that WWE creative have discussed the possibilities of putting the new talent that came from ROH into a group together. This move would come after the recent debuts of former ROH talents Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish, who both lost to Aleister Black in their NXT debuts.

Taz opens today’s show speaking briefly about last night’s episode of NXT. He says that Velveteen is a very captivating character with a terrific look, great size and a ripped body. He thinks Velveteen Dream has a plethora of potential moving forward, and if he had to pick two NXT Superstars who he believes will become legitimate stars he’d choose Dream and Aleister Black.

Speaking about the NXT commentary team, one line in particular really bothered Taz during last night’s episode. After Velveteen Dream dropped his elbow finisher from the top rope, Mauro Ranallo said, “The elbow was Macho like Randy!”. Taz cringed at that line, and he really wishes Ranallo wouldn’t have compared Veleveteen Dream to ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage.

Taz understands that Ranallo is not making this comparison maliciously and he’s doing his best to get Velveteen Dream over, but Taz doubts Vince McMahon is aware that this type of comparison is happening on a weekly basis on NXT. He doubts McMahon would approve of these young talents being compared to some of the business’ all time greats, and Taz believes Ranallo is simply trying too hard to get these guys over.

Kyle O’Reilly made his WWE debut last week at the NXT tapings on July 12th in a losing effort to Aleister Black. Originally O’Reilly was scheduled to make a surprise debut back in January of this year, however legal issues between WWE and Ring of Honor derailed those plans.

Speaking of debuts, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Adam Cole is expected to debut shortly with the company.

We noted over the weekend that company officials are extremely high on Aleister Black and it would be only a matter of time before he is called up to the main roster.

PWInsider reports that Aleister Black is now being scheduled for this week’s WWE television tapings. He toured with the RAW brand in Europe last week and also wrestled on Main Event. This is a strong indication that he could be next in line to be called up.
