Surprising Title Change Takes Place On AEW Dynamite
History has been made! Titles are one of the most important parts of a wrestling show as they help identify the most important stars in the company. In theory, the best wrestlers are supposed to have the championships, which makes a lot of sense. Sometimes you even get to see some extra championships from outside the main promotion, and now some of them have changed hands.
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured the Lucha Bros defending the AAA Tag Team Titles against a surprise team. The challengers wound up being Las Super Ranas (the Super Frogs), who were revealed to be FTR under masks. FTR went on to win the titles after using one of the title belts, ending the Lucha Bros’ reign at over two years. The win marks FTR’s second title reign in AEW, after they won the AEW Tag Team Titles in 2020. The Lucha Bros are still the AEW Tag Team Champions.
You might need to get used to the new champs. Check out FTR in action:

Opinion: This was a surprise title change as you don’t expect to see titles from another promotion changing hands that often. FTR winning anything is nice, though the masks and costumes were a bit of a weird twist. I’m not sure if they are going to hold the titles for a very long time, but the title change did feel like a pretty big deal, at least for something on television.
What did you think of the title change? How long will FTR hold the titles? Let us know in the comments below.
