Shane McMahon, Wrestlers React To His Helicopter Crash
Shane McMahon Speaks About Crash
As Top Rope Press reported earlier this afternoon, Shane McMahon was involved in an emergency helicopter landing at Gilgo Beach in Long Island, New York. Federal Aviation Administration confirmed the emergency landing occurred at approximately 10:25 a.m. EDT, about half-mile off shore. Speaking to WWE.com, McMahon said he was traveling to see family on Eastern Long Island when suddenly the helicopter encountered issues.
McMahon said:
“I would like to thank our pilot, Mario, who did a heroic job of landing us safely in the water, the Suffolk County Marine Bureau who were first on the scene, all the lifeguards who came out to assist us and the Fire Island Coast Guard station.”
McMahon and the pilot were the only people in the helicopter and escaped from any serious injuries. He added that he looks forward to seeing everyone at WWE Battleground this Sunday, which takes place from Philadelphia.
On Twitter, he also shared a message.
I'd like to thank the man upstairs for looking out this morning & thanks to pilot Mario, Suffolk Co. Marine Bureau & Fire Island Coast Guard

Wrestlers React to McMahon’s Crash
From inside and outside the WWE, the reaction was swift. Since McMahon did not suffer from any serious injuries, some wrestlers poke fun at McMahon’s resilience and compared it to his memorable “bumps” in and out of the ring throughout his time in the WWE.
Only Shane McMahon can take a bump from a helicopter and somehow be unharmed.
