Maybe? WWE Star Denies Reports Of Being On Hiatus From Company

Yes or no? With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it is easy for a wrestler to get a bit lost in the shuffle. Someone can be off of television for a bit and almost be forgotten, which can make for some tricky situations. That can happen at almost anytime and it seems to be the case again with another star, but now they are disagreeing with reports about her status with the company. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Go Faster: WWE Money In The Bank Allegedly Almost Shut Down By Governor Of Connecticut Alexa Bliss has not wrestled since the Royal Rumble on January 28. According to both PWInsider.com and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bliss is on a hiatus from WWE, with PWInsider reporting that Bliss was not factored into the company’s plans after the Royal Rumble. Bliss has since responded to the reports, saying that she is not on hiatus and “they know where they can find me.” She also said that “you only see what parts of life I want you to see.” There is no word on when Bliss will return..

WATCH: The Miz Fights A Cactus (And Loses)

It’s a dangerous sport. There are all kinds of ways a wrestler can be injured in the ring, but there are even more possible issues outside of the ring. It can be a terrible thing to see a wrestler be hurt, but not all injures are created equally. There are instances where an injury might not be as serious as another, and it certainly helps when the injury doesn’t seem to actually have happened. That seems to be the case again. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: RUMOR KILLERS On Two WWE Money In The Bank Stories This week on Monday Night Raw, the Miz announced that he was unable to face Johnny Gargano in a match as he had injured his hand on a cactus. Miz has now posted a video to Instagram, showing himself hitting a toy cactus that records and repeats anything he says in a distorted voice. After hitting the cactus, Miz says that he is hurt again and it’s bad, though there is a disclaimer saying that it is NOT the real cactus. He is currently still scheduled to face Dexter Lumis next week on Mond..

RUMOR KILLERS On Two WWE Money In The Bank Stories

Not so fast. WWE runs major events almost every month, some of which are among the biggest wrestling events of the year. Several of these are annual events that are centered around the same concept matches every year. Under the company’s new regime, WWE has reportedly been moving away from such shows, but it seems that some possible changes will not be taking place. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Dominik Mysterio And Rhea Ripley Invade Rey Mysterio’s Home For Thanksgiving According to Fightful Select, two rumored Money In The Bank related stories are not taking place. First up, there have been rumors of both Money In The Bank ladder matches being moved to WrestleMania, but several members of the WWE creative team have said that while possible, no such changes have been made. Second, reports of LA Knight being penciled in to win the men’s Money In The Bank latter match in 2023 have not been discussed. While Knight winning is not impossible, it is not being talked about right now. Thes..

WATCH: WWE Broadcasters Are REALLY Happy At Money In The Bank

They seem to be fans. There are certain moments in wrestling that get fans’ emotions going. It can be a lot of fun to see someone getting to do something that makes things interesting but they are pretty rare. You know them when you see them though and that seemed to be the case last weekend. It was so good that even the commentary team got excited. At WWE Money In The Bank, Liv Morgan won the women’s Money In The Bank briefcase and cashed in on the same night, defeating Ronda Rousey to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. WWE has released a video from the announcers’ table, showing Pat McAfee and Michael Cole’s reaction, with the two of them jumping up in excitement over the cash-in and title change. I’d call it a win. Check out how Cole and McAfee reacted: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: Other than maybe a few glimpses, you might not have seen these reactions at the pay per view. WWE putting out the video made for a great visual, even if commentary was l..

Things Were “A Little More Chaotic” Than Usual Backstage At WWE Money In The Bank

It was one of those days. WWE has a lot of pieces that come together to make any show work and some of them can go a bit better than others. At the same time, there are some events that come together better than others for one reason or another. It can be difficult to figure out what is going wrong, but in this case we might know what happened backstage at a major WWE event. According to PWInsider.com, things were “a little more chaotic” backstage at this weekend’s WWE Money In The Bank event. This included a lack of a production meeting the morning of the show and matches being worked out later than usual. There is no word on what might have caused the issue or if it caused any significant changes to how the show was presented. Opinion: At this point, is it any surprise when something is going wrong backstage at a WWE event? It seems that there is always something off or something messed up in one way or another. Maybe this was a bit worse than usual, but the problem seems to be som..

Multiple Title Changes Take Place At WWE Money In The Bank

There’s your change. Titles are one of the most important things in all of wrestling as they often make someone the top star in a promotion. Winning or losing a title can make a huge change for anyone on a roster and it can be quite the new direction for anyone involved. That was the case again this weekend, as a new champion was crowned in a bit of a surprise win. WWE held its annual Money In The Bank event over the weekend and multiple titles changed hands. First up, Bobby Lashley defeated Theory to win the United States Title for the third time. Later in the night, Ronda Rousey successfully defended the SmackDown Women’s Title against Natalya but Miss Money In The Bank Liv Morgan cashed in to win the title. Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and Tag Team Champions the Usos retained their titles. Opinion: This is the kind of result that I can go for, as I do like the idea of getting rid of one of the briefcases the night of the show. Theory losing the title was a bit of a surprise ..

Two More: Multiple Names Qualify For Money In The Bank Ladder Matches

There are a few more. With less than two weeks to go before WWE Money in the Bank, WWE still has several slots left to fill for the show. This includes multiple names for the show’s namesake matches but WWE has already gotten some of them covered. They did even more of that this week, as a few more names qualified for the men’s and women’s versions of the matches. Two more names were added to Money in the Bank ladder matches this week on Monday Night Raw, with one man and one woman qualifying. First up, Omos defeated Riddle to become the fourth entrant (along with Seth Rollins, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre) in the men’s match. Later, in the show’s main event, Asuka defeated Becky Lynch to join Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in the women’s match. Eight entrants are scheduled per match, with the show taking place on July 2. Opinion: The last few weeks have been full of matches where the fields grow, but then the ladder matches themselves have to actually work. T..

Next Challenger Up: New Title Match Added To WWE Money In The Bank

Put it up. With less than two weeks to go before WWE Money in the Bank, it is time for WWE to start hammering down the rest of the card. There are not a ton of wrestlers free due to the ladder matches, but there are enough stories set up to make the show work. Now we have another match set up after several weeks of it being teased before being made official. This week on Monday Night Raw, a United States Title match was officially added to the Money in the Bank card, with Bobby Lashley earning a title shot against Theory. Lashley and Theory have attacked each other in recent weeks, with Theory saying that Lashley could have a title shot if he won a three man gauntlet match. Lashley went on to defeat Chad Gable, Otis and Theory himself, setting up the title match. Opinion: I don’t think it was a surprise to see this match added to the show but at least they finally got it on the card. It helps that this is a match that could go either way, as Lashley winning wouldn’t be a surprise, bu..

On The Line: New Title Match Set For WWE Money In The Bank

Add it to the list. We are less than a month away from WWE’s next pay per view with Money in the Bank. The show will be built around the show’s namesake matches and those will take up a bunch of time. There are other matches that need to be covered though and that includes some title matches. One of those has been added to the card and it should be a pretty big showdown. WWE has announced that there will be a Tag Team Title match featuring the Street Profits challenging the Usos at Money in the Bank. This is the result of the Usos losing a Champions Contenders match on Monday Night Raw, earning them a title match at some point in the future. The match will be for both the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Titles, both of which the Profits have held before. Opinion: You knew this match was coming at some point and it is the kind of thing that makes sense. There are not many teams ready to challenge the Usos but the Profits certainly fit the mold. Let the two teams get in there and do their t..

Start The Card: First Title Match Set For WWE Money In The Bank

There’s one. We are now done with Hell In A Cell, meaning Money In The Bank is right around the corner. The next major WWE pay per view is in less than a month and the show is going to need to be a big one. WWE knows to put on a special show and they have already started setting up the card, as a first title match was set for the show this very week. This week on Monday Night Raw, Rhea Ripley won a fatal four way match to become the new #1 contender for the Raw Women’s Title. As a result, Ripley will be challenging Bianca Belair for the title at Monday In The Bank on July 2. Ripley defeated Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss and Doudrop to gain the title shot, pinning Doudrop with the Riptide in the show’s main event. Opinion: This is the way you build a show as WWE wasted no time in setting up a fresh title match for the pay per view. That alone is more than you could say for a lot of Hell In A Cell so it is nice to see things getting off on the right foot. WWE has a lot of work left to do to ..

WWE Money In The Bank 2021 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

It’s time for one of WWE’s biggest pay per views as the briefcases will be hung above the ring for some ladder matches. This time though there are going to be fans in attendance, which means that one of the biggest spectacles on the WWE calendar is going to have a live audience. Money in the Bank is always one of the harder to predict shows of the year so it’s guessing time. Let’s get to it. Kickoff Show: SmackDown Tag Team Titles: Rey Mysterio/Dominik Mysterio(c) vs. The Usos The Mysterios have defended the titles against the Usos twice now so a third title defense makes all the sense in the world right? That is how Tag Team Title stories go in WWE and I’m not sure what other idea they could have here. Hopefully they have something good here, as the teams should work well together, though putting them in this spot is a little bit weird. Take three: [This post contains video, click to play] The Usos are getting those titles sooner rather than later so I’ll say they get them here. T..

New Title Match Added To WWE Money In The Bank

Keep the build going. WWE is back on pay per view this weekend with Money In The Bank. That is the kind of show that presents some unusual challenges to the company, as there are only so many options available to add to the card. With sixteen wrestlers tied up in two matches, WWE can only do so much with the choices they have. Now we know another match they are putting on. WWE has announced that Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio will defend the SmackDown Tag Team Titles against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode on the Money In The Bank Kickoff Show. The Mysterios took the titles from Roode and Ziggler on May 16 at WrestleMania Backlash. Since winning the titles, the Mysterios have only defended them twice, with both defenses taking place on the June 4 SmackDown against the Usos. This could be an interesting one. Check out the previous match, plus both teams in action: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, clic..

Huge Return Possible For WWE Money In The Bank

Yeah that’s a big one. There are a lot of changes taking place in WWE at the moment and some of them have been more positive than negative. The biggest difference will be the return of fans to the arenas, which will begin later this week with SmackDown. That opens a rather large door for WWE and it would make sense for them to do something special. We might be seeing that soon. According to PWInsider.com, Becky Lynch is scheduled to be at the Dickie’s Arena in Fort Worth, Texas for Sunday’s Money In The Bank pay per view. There is no word on if she will be appearing or wrestling in any form. Lynch has not appeared on WWE television since the Monday Night Raw after last year’s Money In The Bank due to maternity leave. Her most recent match took place at WrestleMania 36. Lynch is a one of a kind star. Check out what might be on its way back to WWE: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] Opinio..
