Some of those instances are due to something taking place in a wrestler’s personal life, which is what seems to have happened to a former WWE star whose career fell apart as a result. Maddox said that his addictions became mind consuming and his was not focusing on his work. He was released from the company in November 2015 after insulting the crowd during a dark match. It was the case again this week, as a former WWE star made their official AEW debut with a target already in sight. Cargill retained her title over Nicole Matthews in less than a minute, but after the match Taya Valkyrie debuted and attacked Cargill’s associate Leila Grey. Valkyrie is a former NXT star, where she wrestled under the name Frankie Monet, as well as a former Knockouts Champion.
