WATCH: WWE Unveils John Cena As WWE2K23 Cover Star

It fits. Wrestling and video games go hand in hand. It makes sense to have wrestlers available in a game where fans can pick what they want to do and make any matches. This has been the case for decades and WWE has been involved with the in video game industry for a very long time. Now they are at it again and this time there is going to be a major name involved. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: VIDEO: WWE Hall Of Famers Take Issue With Raw XXX WWE has announced that John Cena will be the cover star for WWE2K23, the latest in the company’s line of video games. The game will be released on March 17, 2023 and will feature a Cena edition of the 2K Showcase mode. There will also be different versions of the game with different versions of Cena on the cover. For other people involved in the industry, getting away is a bit easier, and now a wrestling legend sounds like he is considering wrapping up his career. It’s a big part of the company. Wrestling and video games really are kind of a perfect match. Fans can play as any wrestler they want and beat up anyone else on the roster, with a crazy amount of combinations available. Given how detailed games have gotten these days, there are more possibilities than anyone could conceivably play through. Now we know what the new version will have. WWE has released a video showcasing new features on the upcoming WWE 2K22 video game. The list, known as the Hit List, includes various graphic and presentation enhancements, plus several modes, including My Faction, My GM, My Rise and more. That’s a negative side of things. We are still in the middle of the Coronavirus and the situation does not seem to be changing anytime in the near future. The situation has changed all kinds of things around the world, including in the wrestling industry. Fans are going to want to play a game as their favorite wrestlers that they see on TV and that makes for a long list of combinations. Today’s games have more details than you could ever possibly complete but that wasn’t always the case. As it turns out, there’s a brand new way to see what wrestling games used to be like. According to a new article on WWE.com, YouTuber Archon1981 recently purchased a review copy of an unreleased WCW video game for the original Nintendo Entertainment System, dated from 1989. The game is titled UWC, which likely means Universal Wrestling Corporation, which served as the original name for World Championship Wrestling when Ted Turner bought the company in 1987. Some names included were the Road Warriors, Sting, Ric Flair, Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane. Like any video game, there is a way to see the game. Takeover: WarGames II Date: November 17, 2018 Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, California Commentators: Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness, Percy Watson Yeah I think this is going to do just fine. Not counting the show’s namesake match, it’s a big card with a 2/3 falls title match, an NXT Title match and what could be a heck of a grudge match. As usual, NXT knows how to present a big card with all the junk trimmed off to give us the best show possible. Let’s get to it.
