Pat McAfee Being Sued By Brett Favre, McAfee Responds
Let the games begin. Multiple news outlets are reporting that NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre has filed three separate defamation lawsuits against Mississippi state auditor Shad White as well as national sports commentators Shannon Sharpe and Pat McAfee. From ESPN: Favre became involved in [a] public fraud case in 2020 after investigators in White’s office discovered that at least $77 million in public money from Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds, earmarked for the neediest families in the state, instead was used to line the pockets of rich and powerful Mississippians. According to a state audit and civil lawsuit in which Favre and dozens of others are named as defendants, Favre was paid $1.1 million in TANF funds for speeches White has said Favre never made. Favre eventually paid the money back, but the state auditor demanded Favre also pay $228,000 in interest. McMahon has run the company for over forty years and now we are in for a very different future. According to Fightful Select, Bruce Prichard is taking over leadership of the creative team, with his first show in charge being this week’s SmackDown, with Triple H and Ed Koskey assisting. There is a chance that this is only a temporary situation and no permanent choice has been made. According to some WWE talent, Prichard being in charge would not bring about much change. However, one change expected to be made is fewer rematches, as McMahon had a tendency to forget that a match had taken place and would book it again no matter what. These Three Former WWE Stars Have Landed New Gigs

What makes things a little bit different though is the fact that wrestlers are often going to be retiring from the ring far before they are moving into traditional retirement years. Main Event Plans for This Year’s SummerSlam
<p>While the current betting odds favor <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/braun-strowman" title="Braun Strowman">Braun Strowman</a></strong> to defeat <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/Roman-Reigns" title="Roman Reigns">Roman Reigns</a></strong> at tonight’s WWE Great Balls of Fire event, Dave Meltzer claimed on Wrestling Observer Radio that the plan is still for Reigns vs. <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/brock-lesnar" title="Brock Lesnar">Brock Lesnar</a></strong> at this year’s SummerSlam event.</p><p>As previously reported, original plans called for Reigns to walk out of WrestleMania 34 as WWE Universal Champion, however WWE made a decision to move the match to SummerSlam instead. <p>While speaking to The AV Club, Jim Ross talked about his book that will cover his past drug addiction and made the following remarks:</p><p><em>“You’re <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/going/" title="going">going</a></strong> to hear about my addiction to drugs. I was addicted to Ambien and Xanax, together, with <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/crown/" title="Crown">Crown</a></strong> Royal. I was on Uranus, and Pluto, and Neptune, and everywhere else late at night. [Because] I had severe sleep apnea – and still do – I stopped breathing 99 times in an hour in a sleep test. So I wasn’t in real great shape with that deal.”</em></p><p><em>“Ambien is a temporary medication for insomnia. Temporary. Not ten years. …It’s not a [revolutionary] <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/story/" title="story">story</a></strong>, it’s eye-opening, and shows it can happen to anybody. It was like smoking, I just decided one day to quit smoking, and stopped. Done, I’m done.”</em></p>
