WATCH: AEW Star Releases A New Music Video And Album

It’s something new. Professional wrestlers are very talented people but they do not always get the credit that they deserve. They are out there in a ring multiple nights a week putting on a show for the fans, but there is more to it than that. The training and effort that goes into getting ready for their actual matches is rather taxing, but some wrestlers are able to do something else entirely on the side. Now another star is showcasing his skills outside of the ring again. AEW’s Shane Strickland has released a new album on Spotify called Tears. The album features eleven songs, with one including a guest appearances by AJ Francis, who is better known as Top Dolla during his time in WWE. Strickland has also released a music video for the album’s title track. Strickland made his AEW debut earlier this month at Revolution and has since gone on to win his debut match. He is good at this stuff. Check out the video for Tears: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I’m not a r..

AEW Star Reveals He Is Out Of Action With A Dislocated Knee

It might be a bit. An injury can take someone out of action at any time, but what can make them even worse is when you don’t realize that someone is injured. Sometimes it seems that a wrestler is gone because there is nothing for them to do, but then it turns out that they are not allowed in the ring at the moment. That is the case with a current AEW star, who has made things a bit more clear. AEW’s Matt Sydal has revealed that he has suffered a dislocated knee, which has kept him out of action recently. Sydal did not reveal when he suffered the injury or how long he will be out, though he did make it clear that he did not suffer a tear to his ACL or PCL. Sydal has not wrestled an AEW match since the February 21 edition of Dark: Elevation, where hw as on the winning team in a ten man tag. Thanks for the birthday love. ??? A brief update: I dislocated my knee a few weeks back which is why I haven’t been active in AEW. In good news, there were no tears in my acl or pcl. Gonna do some ..

WATCH: Becky Lynch’s Very Emotional Interview After WWE Survivor Series

Can you blame her? Wrestlers are ultimately performers in a way, but there are still very real people in the ring. Those people are going to have emotions of their own, some of which can be related to the wrestling business. Sometimes you will see someone let some of that emotion out and it can be rather interesting to watch. That was the case again this weekend. One of the major feuds coming into this year’s Survivor Series was between Becky Lynch and Charlotte. The two were previously friends but various issues have driven them apart. Lynch defeated Charlotte in the show’s opening match but she was not done for the night. WWE has released an interview with Lynch from after the match, where she talks about how emotional she got getting ready for the match and where they are now. Lynch was in tears during the promo and talked about how close the two were while they despise each other now. It was an emotional night. Check out the promo, the match, and how we got here: [This post cont..

KB’s Review: Give Them Two Stars

I think it’s safe to say that AEW has been a success so far. You can argue about their audience/demo (or please don’t) but it is clear that they have made an impact and shaken things up. That is something that is not exactly easy to do but AEW has not only hit the ground running but picked up all kinds of momentum, especially in the last few months. A lot of that is due to the last few months and we are going to be looking at two of the bigger moves today. Back on August 20, CM Punk made his AEW debut in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois on the second episode of Rampage. This very well may have been the greatest moment that the company has had to date, as Punk received the hero’s welcome to end them all, driving him to near tears (or maybe all the way there) in response. Throw in the “have a free ice cream bar on me” to make it even better and this could not have gone much better. Fast forward to All Out on September 5, when Bryan Danielson appeared as the big surprise to end the sho..

VIDEO: WWE Star Out 4-6 Weeks After Knee Surgery

That could be worse. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and one of the worst parts is figuring out just how long someone is going to be out of the ring. Sometimes these are a lot worse than others, but that waiting period can be one of the worst parts. Thankfully some injuries are not as bad as others and now we know just how long an injured WWE star will be gone. MVP had knee surgery this week and has posted an upgrade to Instagram, saying he will be out of action for 4-6 weeks. In the update, MVP also revealed that he had been suffering from a pair of Meniscus tears since February and while he was out of action from a rib injury suffered on Monday Night Raw, he had his knee fixed as well. MVP has wrestled on occasion since his injury, with his most recent match taking place on the September 6 Monday Night Raw. It will be nice to have him back. Ronda Rousey Tears Into WWE and the Fans: Has the Raw Women’s Champ Gone Too Far? (VIDEO)

Ronda Rousey has taken aim at WWE and she’s not holding back. More importantly, she’s also taking aim at the fans. While all of this is to be expected when a Superstar turns heel, this situation is a bit different. But why? This is not just any ordinary heel. This is Ronda Rousey. The Baddest Woman on the Planet had a Hall of Fame pedigree long before she ever stepped into a WWE ring and she also had mainstream sports approval to go along with it. Rousey was the real deal before and she’s definitely the real deal now. But is all of this going too far? Many WWE fans would probably say yes, mostly because of Rousey’s recent interview on her social media. She was asked about her promo from the March 4 edition of Monday Night Raw in which she turned on the WWE Universe. But according to Rousey, this was not a promo at all. “It wasn’t a promo. They gave me other things to say, and I didn’t **** say it. It’s not a promo. It’s not an act. I’m not going out there and doing their **** act any..

Enzo Amore Expresses His Rage In New Music Video

It would appear that you shouldn’t upset the realest guy in the room. Former WWE superstar Enzo Amore has released a music video for his new rap song, “Phoenix.” Amore, who is now going by the rap name “Real1,” has included a few lyrics that are taking shots at the woman who accused him of rape earlier this year. You can take a look at the rap video below: [This post contains video, click to play] Below are some highlights from the video (h/t to Pro Wrestling Sheet for the transcription): The video begins with a wrestling fan arguing with his mother from the basement during the “25th anniversary of sports entertainment.” He then gets a breaking news alert and rushes to his computer — obviously in reference to Amore being sent home from WWE before Raw 25. Some noteworthy lyrics include: “They cry tears of joy at my funeral. Still I rise from the ashes like a phoenix. Middle finger to the sky grippin’ my …. consensual penis. Lyin’ ass hoe out in Phoenix. When I say that shit I mea..

AJ Styles on What Roman Reigns Told Him, Opinion of Himself

WWE Champion AJ Styles was a guest on Chasing Glory With Lilian Garcia where he gave his opinion on himself and his relationships with other talents behind the scenes. The WWE Champion first gave his opinion on himself as a wrestler. “I try to stay humble and never assume anything because when you break down the word assume, you know what that means. Like I said, I never assume anything and in this business, you can’t. Again, things change so fast and you never know what’s going to happen, so I don’t assume, ‘oh, I’m that good’ or ‘I’m that [great]’. First of all, I don’t believe I’m that good or I’m that great. I want to be one day, but I never assume. I try not to watch matches. When I do watch them, I get so mad at myself. I think they could’ve been better or a promo that could’ve been better that it just tears me up, so I know there’s a point that hopefully I can get there, but I’m not there yet. I want to be.” He explains what the most enjoyable part about what he does is. “I d..

Update on Bobby Fish, How Long Will He Be Out?

Fish out of the ring. Injuries can be devastating to a wrestler’s career and this one happened at a terrible time. Earlier this month, Bobby Fish, one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions, injured his knee at an NXT house show. It was clear that he would miss ring time, but now we know how long. Here’s what a healthy Fish can do. [This post contains video, click to play] According to F4Wonline.com by way of Wrestlinginc.com, Bobby Fish underwent surgery today to repair minor tears in both his ACL and MCL. This injury will put Fish out of action for about six months. At the moment, Fish is scheduled to defend the NXT Tag Team Titles at “Takeover: New Orleans”. There is no word on what will happen to the title match. Here’s one of Fish’s best performances in NXT. Opinion: Well dang. I’m not sure how they’re going to handle this at “Takeover”, unless there’s a new partner to help Kyle O’Reilly. Either that or they’ll just have O’Reilly fight by himself for the most part with Fish be..

Bayley Comments on Possible Heel Turn

<p>While appearing on Steve Austin’s podcast, <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/bayley" title="Bayley">Bayley</a></strong> made the following remarks about possibly turning heel:</p><p><em>“It breaks my <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/heart/" title="heart">heart</a></strong> even thinking about it! And so, when I do have these ideas, like, I <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/write/" title="write">write</a></strong> everything down, ideas, just in case, they want ideas, ‘like, okay, we’re going to do this,’ I have ideas for that. But even just thinking about that, like one day, I was like, ‘yeah, I’m going to pitch this! I’m going to do it! Like, I want to be a heel!’ And then, I went out that night for our match and I saw maybe five or six girls dressed up like me and we had met these girls before the show that were just in tears meeting us. I was like, ‘okay, no, I can’t do it! I can’t turn my back on them. I don’t know what would happen.’”</em></p><p>You can check out the full podcast at <a href="https://www.podcastone.com/Steve-Austin-Show" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this link</a>.</p>

Kurt Angle Homecoming: A Touching Story About An Olympic Hero

<p>WWE Network finally released the WWE 24 special involving Kurt Angle. I was unable to tune in last night so I watched it this afternoon, and there was no disappointment here. Goosebumps popped up on my arms and tears ran down my eyes. It was a whirlwind of emotion about the career of one of the greatest to ever lace a pair of boots. Life has came full circle for out Olympic Hero.</p><p>While watching the program, the memorable moments Kurt gave us over the years ran through my head. You all remember the milk truck correct? Or how about the Sexy Kurt song? Heck, even the miniature cowboy hat was hysterical. He was pure gold during his segments and his matches. However, Kurt’s career wasn’t all sunshine and roses.</p><p>Television has a way of portraying a normal individual as a superhero, but reality steps in and shows how destructive they really are. WWE 24 did a fabulous job of describing the demons Kurt faced throughout most of his adult life. Some of you may remember that Kurt broke his neck just weeks before <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/go/wrestlemania" target="_blank" title="Wrestlemania">Wrestlemania</a></strong> XIX. It was the second time he broke his neck, but the first time inside the WWE. Painkillers helped Angle battle some of the pain, but they took control of his life. He became addicted to them just like many others do. There was even an instance where Angle took around twenty-five at once and hoping he wouldn’t wake up. Angle would then go on explaining how he broke his neck again at Wrestlemania XX and eventually asking for his release just a couple of years later.</p><p>This is when the next chapter in Angle’s illustrious career takes a different path, one to the Impact Zone. Here is where Angle would put on some phenomenal matches against guys like <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/aj-styles" title="AJ Styles">AJ Styles</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/wrestler/samoa-joe" title="Samoa Joe">Samoa Joe</a></strong>. Even though Angle was in TNA, he kept hoping a certain McMahon over at WWE would see his work and realize that he was still a great wrestler. His time in TNA was longer than his time in WWE, but he always wanted to come back to his home.</p><p>Angle still battled his addiction with painkillers, and added alcohol to that addiction as well. It became so bad that his wife, Giovanna, was close to leaving him and taking the children with her. Sometimes all it takes to straighten you up is a caring woman. Angle would enter rehab and stayed thirty days before leaving and being clean. He’s been clean ever since, and you can tell it too by the way he looks and acts.</p><p>Now that Angle was clean and was a changed man, he knew the next stop in his redemption tour was the WWE.</p><p>Things started happening fast. Kurt became inducted into the Hall of Fame and now he is the Raw General Manager. Sure Angle burnt some bridges, but they always say that everyone can make their way back to the WWE. Angle is proof of that. The man made mistakes, but overcame them and is now doing much better. Will we ever see Angle compete inside a WWE ring again? Only time will tell, but rest assured that Angle is content with the role he is playing now. He has a loving wife, five beautiful children, and a job working for a man who was always like a father to him.</p><p>Life is great for Kurt Angle these days, and he has plenty more great days ahead of him.</p>
