Welcome home? We are on the way to the Road To WrestleMania 39 in early April and it might be one of the biggest of all time. The show is set to be near Hollywood, California, meaning WWE is likely going to try to crank up the celebrity involvement. Now a wrestling legend might have revealed WWE’s plans to bring in a sports celebrity to take part in the show. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: A Tribute To Insult? Grayson Waller Takes Surprising Shot At Shawn Michaels After NXT Ric Flair appeared as a guest on the most recent edition of ESPN’s First Take to promote his new Peacock documentary. During his appearance, Flair told host Stephen A. Smith that WWE was considering bringing Smith in as a manager at WrestleMania 39. Smith seemed open to the idea, and mentioned being a fan of Bobby Heenan and Paul Heyman. It is not clear if Flair was serious or just joking about the idea. It might work. It might be more noteworthy. There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout WWE’s history, some of whom have made a bigger impact than others. Some wrestlers have been major stars and others have been smaller players, while most are in the middle, as WWE has tried to do something with them and never gotten very far. One of those cases made a TV appearance this week, albeit in a way that had nothing to do with wrestling. Former WWE star Ezekiel Jackson made an appearance on the Price Is Right this week. Jackson, appearing under his real name of Rycklon Stephens, was on the show with his family and made it to the Showcase Showdown. A former Intercontinental and ECW Champion, Stephens has not wrestled since 2015 at a show in German and now works as a fitness instructor. Hey look who it is! Game Over. In the opening segment of Night 2 of WrestleMania 38, Triple H made his way to the ring for an unannounced segment. It was during that time that he officially retired from in-ring competition. WWE Promoting Survivor Series In A Pretty Cool Way

It’s time to hype it up. Later this week, WWE is bringing Survivor Series to Brooklyn, which is going to get even more attention than usual. Survivor Series is already one of the biggest shows on the WWE calendar, but now it is taking place in New York City. That means WWE is going to want to get as much extra attention as they can. It seems that they have a plan on how to do just that. According to Fightful Select, a group of WWE stars will be involved in a major media appearance later this week. Big E., the Miz, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Bianca Belair and the Street Profits will be appearing on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert later this week. The sketch was filmed in advance, though there is no word on when it will air. In addition, Roman Reigns is scheduled to appear on this Wednesday’s edition of the Tonight Show. What To Expect From WWE’s Upcoming Live Events

Something to look forward to. The wrestling world is starting to get back to normal after a very long time of things being a huge mess. Wrestling fans will be back at full attendance for the two major American promotions next month and it is going to make for a huge change of pace. WWE is going to be back on the road for house shows as well and now we know something about them. The websites for the Hertz Arena in Fort Myers, Florida and the Stephen O’Connell Center in Gainesville, Florida are advertising a main event of Drew McIntyre and Kofi Kingston teaming up against MVP and Bobby Lashley for the main events on August 7 and 8 respectively. These are the only matches announced for the shows so far. Possible Reason Cody Was Written Off AEW TV

That could be an explanation. When Roddy Piper was wrestling, he was told he was just acting. Then when he tried to get into acting, he was told he was just a wrestler. There is a weird relationship between the two industries and it can be rather frustrating to try and figure out the differences. Some have tried and the acting can keep them out of the ring for a bit. That seems to be the case again and it might explain something. This past weekend, Cody was defeated by Brodie Lee for the TNT Title. The title change was surprising enough, but the real surprise was seeing Cody defeated in a completely dominant fashion, with Lee totally squashing him. After the match was over, Lee and the Dark Order beat him up even worse, including turning over his stretcher. It came out of nowhere, and now we might know why. UFC 249 Is Back On After Being Canceled

It had been previously reported that UFC 249 was going to be canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic that is sweeping the world. However, it would seem that the tides have turned and the event is back on, with some slight modifications. According to ESPN, the event will take place on Saturday, May 9, in Jacksonville, Florida, and will be headlined by an interim lightweight championship bout between Tony Ferguson and Justin Gaethje. From this week’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter: The show will air with ESPN fights from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., with Ryan Spann vs. Sam Alvey, Charles Rosa vs. Bryce Mitchell, Vicente Luque vs. Niko Price, Uriah Hall vs. Ronaldo Jacare Souza, Michelle Waterson vs. Carla Esparza, Fabricio Werdum vs. Aleksei Oleinik and Anthony Pettis vs. Donald Cerrone. Location Revealed for Bullet Club’s ‘All In’ Event

[This post contains video, click to play] On the latest episode of Being The Elite on The Bullet Club’s official YouTube channel, Cody [Rhodes] and The Young Bucks confirmed the location for their ‘All In’ event. In the episode, which you can watch above, The Bullet Club confirm that the location of the ‘All In’ event will be the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois on September 1st of this year. The arena is able to seat 11, 000 people and is 25 miles from Chicago, where Phil and April Brooks (CM Punk and AJ Lee) live. It is no secret that The Bullet Club has been intent on having Punk perform for them on the show, and with a location such as this, maybe that could be possible. At this time, there are no card confirmations but Cody, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Hangman Page and ‘Arrow’ star Stephen Amell are all confirmed to appear. <p>The <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/arrow/" title="Arrow">Arrow</a></strong>’s Stephen Amell appeared at a recent Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in London and was asked about his future in wrestling. Amell revealed that he would like to get back into the ring one more time.</p><p><em>“I would love to do something with wrestling again. I don’t know what that’s <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/going/" title="going">going</a></strong> to be. I think being with WWE would be really cool. I think that Cody who I worked with is <strong><a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/doing/" title="doing">doing</a></strong> such great stuff with Ring of Honor and New Japan. That would be cool.
