WRESTLING RUMORS: Top WWE Stable Could Move In Upcoming Draft

December 29, 2022

New home? WWE has so many different kinds of wrestlers around its roster that the stars can be spread across different unique shows. Those shows would be Monday Night Raw, SmackDown and NXT and the shows do not interact very often. While wrestlers will occasionally cross over, they rarely jump from one to the other full time. This time though, WWE is at least thinking about a move. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: One More? Drew McIntyre Addresses Future World Title Plans According to Xero News on Twitter, there has been some “small” talk of sending Judgment Day to SmackDown in the upcoming WWE Draft. The brands are expected to be “heavily switched” though there have been talks of SmackDown staying “stable heavy”. There is no word on when the next Draft will take place, as WWE has yet to mention anything about a new edition. The most recent Draft was held in October 2021. There has been small talk of sending Judgment Day to SmackDown in the draft when it happens, the brands will be heavily sw..

WATCH: Sasha Banks Trains In The Ring With 47 Year Old Former WWE Star

November 8, 2022

That’s another name. One of the biggest stories of WWE has been the career trajectory of Sasha Banks. Back in May, Banks and Naomi walked out on WWE, forfeiting the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles in the first place. In recent months, there has been talk of Banks returning to the company. In the mean time though, she has been staying with her training and now we can see her doing so. A video has been posted to Twitter showing Banks training with former WWE and WCW star Juventud Guerrera. The video seems to have been filmed recently and shows Banks headscissoring Guerrera. There is no word on when or if Banks will be returning to WWE, though she and Naomi were recently returned to the WWE television signature introduction video. She still has it. Check out Banks in the ring: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is the kind of thing that gives fans hope, but at the end of the day, it is all about her returning to the ring, which may not be taking place so soon. WATCH: Jade Cargill Shows Off Her Workout Routine On The Sherri Show

October 26, 2022

She would know. Wrestlers have to do a lot of things to stay at the top of their game and one of the most important is staying in shape. That can be easier said than done as they have to be on the road so often, which can make it difficult to stay in shape. There are certain ways to make it easier though and a top AEW star was explaining some of those things things week. AEW TBS Champion jade Cargill appeared on the Sherri Show and discussed a variety of workout tips while demonstrating some of her fitness regimen. Cargill also mentioned being the first African-American woman to be on the cover of a video game and that she was still undefeated. Cargill is the inaugural and still only TBS Champion, having won the title on January 5, 2022. There’s something to be learned here. Check out Cargill’s appearance on the show: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is one of those things that might not seem like much but it is part of a bigger deal. Big Update On Bray Wyatt’s WWE Return, Negotiations Hit A Snag

September 16, 2022

That isn’t a no. There have been a lot of returns to the WWE as of late and that has made for some very interesting moments. Several former WWE stars have come back to the company after the massive releases of the last two years, but there are still some names out there to bring back. Some of them are more complicated than others though, and now we know some more details on perhaps the biggest name left. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, talks between WWE and Bray Wyatt are still alive, though they have stalled in recent weeks. Wyatt was released from WWE in 2021 and has not wrestled anywhere else since. This is reportedly due to Wyatt’s high asking price, as he was one of the top paid stars in WWE. Triple H was recently asked about Wyatt’s return but would not say yes or no. This was the same thing he said about Braun Strowman, who returned earlier this month. Opinion: I can’t imagine Wyatt staying away from WWE forever and that is a good thing. Wyatt has a lot of crea..

VIDEO: Former Champion Makes Surprise Return To NXT After Six Year Absence

June 8, 2022

Welcome back. With such a large roster in WWE, it can be easy to forget what to do with some of them. That includes getting them on television, as there are only five hours a week between Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, but there is a third option. That would be NXT, which offers two more hours worth of spots to WWE stars. Now we get to see another one of those stars on NXT TV. This week on NXT, Apollo Crews made a surprise return to the show, confronting Bron Breakker, who was asking who would be the next challenger to his NXT Title. The two shook hands out of respect and no match was set. Crews also teamed with Solo Sikoa to defeat Grayson Waller and Carmelo Hayes in the main event. That match was Crews’ first in NXT since 2016, though it is not clear how long he will be staying. In addition, Crews had dropped his Nigerian royalty character and was appearing as his normal self. WWE Might Need Some Help With Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament

May 24, 2022

They might need some help with that. Last week, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out on the company. While their futures with WWE have been discussed extensively since, the titles, now vacant, have only been mentioned once on SmackDown. WWE has a plan for the titles, but they might need some help in making it all work out. Last week on SmackDown, Michael Cole announced a tournament to crown new Women’s Tag Team Champions. No details were announced for the tournament, including start date, the number of teams or brackets. According to Wrestling Observer Live, WWE is planning to have teams from NXT brought up to the main roster to fill in some gaps. There is no word on which teams will be brought up or if they will be staying on the main roster. Opinion: This is something that WWE is going to have to do as they do not have the amount of women needed to make something like this work. At the same time, I have no idea what they are supposed to do with the titles..

Maybe? Top AEW Star Might Have Signed New Deal (But We’re Not Sure)

May 20, 2022

He’s worth keeping. There are a lot of people on the AEW roster and that is the kind of situation that can make for some interesting decisions. Not everyone is going to be able to get a lot of television time and that can make a difference when it comes to who sticks around and who walks away at the end of their contract. Now we know someone who is staying, at least in theory. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Jon Moxley has probably re-signed with AEW. Moxley debuted with the company at Double Or Nothing 2019, meaning that his initial three year deal would likely be up. This comes as other stars who signed three year deals have had their deals come up, resulting in some wrestlers re-signing or leaving. This is still considered speculation and it is not certain. Moxley is currently set for a match at Double Or Nothing 2022 later this month. Opinion: This would not surprise me whatsoever, as it would be almost impossible to imagine Moxley not sticking around with AEW at the momen..

AEW Revolution 2022 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

March 6, 2022

It’s back to the pay per view schedule for AEW and that is a great thing to hear. AEW has a pretty awesome track record for pay per views and there is a good chance that it will do the same here. This time is a bit different though as there is a staggering twelve match card with three matches taking place on the Buy In. The positive thing is that the matches look good, but dang that is a lot. Let’s get to it. Buy-In: QT Marshall vs. Hook We’ll start off with one of the fun ones here as Hook has taken AEW by storm in his still short career. What seemed to start off as little more than a big joke has turned into a pretty great run from Hook, who has smashed a variety of people without overstaying his welcome once. I believe this will be his first live match though and that could make for a new challenge. He has been sent: [This post contains video, click to play] I mean, I say challenge as seriously as it can be meant as it’s Marshall across the ring from him, meaning Hook wins this ..

WWE Locker Room Morale Said To Be At An All Time Low

February 4, 2022

This is not a good time. WWE has been around for a very long time now and has been on top of the wrestling world for a good chunk of their tenure. That is a nice spot to be in, but staying there is a bit of a complicated process. While the company knows how to make money, they also have to make sure everyone else is happy. At the moment, that does not seem to be taking place. According to Fightful Select, several WWE wrestlers are reporting that their morale is at an all time low. This comes from a wide range of wrestlers, including several who are not active to television main eventers. The problem stems from a variety of issues, including the way the Royal Rumble was set up, a lack of continuity, and WWE centering around a small handful of “maybe four” people. Several wrestlers have complained, but are either ignored or rushed out of any meeting they can get. This is not said to be a company wide issue, but multiple wrestlers are reporting the same issue. He’ll Be Staying: Popular Star Re-Signs With WWE

January 20, 2022

He’ll be sticking around. One of the most important wrestling stories over the last few months has been the amount of wrestlers leaving WWE. There are a few different sides to this, but the most interesting of them all is how many wrestlers are deciding that WWE is not the best place for them anymore. It is almost more interesting when someone sticks around, and that is the case again. Fightful Select is reporting that Sami Zayn has signed a new deal with WWE and will be with the company for the next several years. Zayn’s contract had been coming up soon, though it was not clear how long Zayn had left in the company. Zayn had been reported to sign a new deal a few months ago, but he had been quiet about the negotiations. He is also currently the #1 contender to the Intercontinental Title. Zayn has been part of the WWE main roster since 2015 and has won the Intercontinental twice during his time with the company. This is in addition to a run in NXT, where he is a former NXT Champion. ..

Former NXT Champion’s Main Roster Debut Postponed For Simple Reason

January 20, 2022

Moving on up? NXT has been shaken up in a huge way over the last few months and that seems like it could be continuing for the foreseeable future. At the end of the day though, NXT exists as the developmental program for WWE and that means the wrestlers need to move up at some point. One wrestler seemed ready to go but there is a specific reason they are sticking around. According to Wrestling Observer Live, Raquel Gonzalez was ready to move up to the main roster but the move was postponed for the sake of the women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. There are not enough teams available so Gonzalez is staying around to help fill in a spot. No teams have been announced for the tournament, which is scheduled to begin at some point in February. Gonzalez has been in NXT since 2020, where she debuted as Dakota Kai’s enforcer, a role she would continue in for over a year. The team would win the first ever women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and the first NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles. Gonzale..

Call it staying in character? There is almost no one in the history of wrestling like Brock Lesnar. With his legitimate amateur wrestling and combat sports background, Lesnar is the once in a generation talent that can change a promotion in a heartbeat. WWE has tried something new with him lately, and now it seems that Lesnar is lightening up a bit outside of the ring as well. A new image of Lesnar has made its way online, showing him dancing with am unidentified woman while grinning at the camera. There is no word on where the photo was taken. This comes as Lesnar has been portraying a more down to earth character, even offering to go hunting or fishing with Sami Zayn. BREAKING: Top WWE Star Reportedly Re-Signs On Multi-Year Deal

December 15, 2021

Stick around for a bit. The rise of AEW has changed the way the wrestling world works and in a good way. Above all else, for the first time in over twenty years, there is a viable second national promotion in the United States and that opens up a lot of doors. It allows wrestlers to have a new option, and now one big name seems to have used that leverage to his benefit. According to Fightful Select, Kevin Owens has signed a new multi-year deal with WWE. WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE’s Wacky Theory About Tony Khan And AEW Tickets

December 2, 2021

He’s doing what? For a very long time, one of the things that wrestling fans wanted to see more than anything else was another billionaire to come along and try their hand at going up against the WWE. It is not an easy task but it has finally happened in the form of AEW owner Tony Khan. He has certainly been a success so far, though some think he might be up to something. According Bryan Alvarez on the F4WOnline message board, there are some in WWE who believe that Khan is personally buying tickets to AEW events to beef up ticket sales. There is nothing to suggest that this has actually taken place, or where the fans who fill the paid seats came from. AEW returned to running events on the road in September after staying in Jacksonville, Florida throughout the Coronavirus pandemic. It would be a heck of a trick. WWE Working Hard To Re-Sign Two NXT Stars

December 2, 2021

Keep them around. The amount of wrestlers who have departed WWE, either on their own or because of WWE letting them go, in the last year and a half is astounding. The company has released well over 100 wrestlers in that time and there is still the chance that more will be released at any time. Now though, WWE is trying to keep some of them from joining the list. According to Fightful Select, WWE has been making an effort to re-sign both NXT’s Kyle O’Reilly and Johnny Gargano, whose contracts expire soon. Negotiations with Gargano began back in October, as WWE was impressed with how Gargano built new stars. His contract is set to expire shortly after this weekend’s WarGames event. O’Reilly’s deal is up before the end of the year and WWE is working to re-sign him as well. There is no word on whether the two are interested in staying with WWE or going elsewhere. UPDATE: WWE Change Actually Not Taking Place After All

November 21, 2021

Not so fast? There have been all kinds of changes taking place in WWE over the last few years and some of them have been a lot more noticeable than others. Those are the changes that make the biggest headlines for the most people, but there are some that do not get that level of attention. It seems that one should not have gotten as much attention because it was not true. Earlier this week, a story came up saying that WWE was closing its office in Mexico City, as it had done in the United Kingdom and Japan. However, according to Sean Ross Sapp and corroborated by Wrestling Inc., the office will be staying open, as per employees who work in the office and a statement from WWE. There is no word on why there was confusion about the closing in the first place. Rampage Date: November 12, 2021 Location: Target Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Ricky Starks, Chris Jericho It’s the go home show for Full Gear but we still might get some changes, or at least a hard sell, for the show. Dynamite did that very well this week but maybe a bit more could make it even better. I’m not sure what to expect here, though Matt Hardy vs. Orange Cassidy in a lumberjack match is certainly a thing. Let’s get to it. Jungle Boy vs. Bobby Fish Jungle takes him down to start but Fish is right back with a pull off the ropes to bang up Jungle’s arm. Back in and Jungle chops away, only to be knocked outside with the arm being banged up again. A posting gets Jungle out of trouble but Fish takes him down again as we take a break. We come back with Fish staying on the arm but he charges into an overhead suplex into the corner. Jungle grabs a waistlock until he is sent shoulder first into the buckle. Possible Reason Why WWE Split Up The New Day Again

October 4, 2021

Go over there? The WWE Draft is taking place this week and that means everyone is potentially going to be heading somewhere else. That has some positive and negative consequences, some of which are going to be rather noticeable. There have been wrestlers moved from one show to another and some teams have been split up. Now we may know why that was the case. Two of the picks in this year’s WWE Draft saw WWE Champion Big E. staying on Monday Night Raw while Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods would be moved over to SmackDown. This would be the second year in a row that New Day has been split up in the Draft and comes only a few weeks after their reunion. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE’s theory is that Woods and Kingston bring Big E. down while WWE wants to push him. The moves will not go into effect until October 22. The team has had its moments together and apart. Check out a bit of both: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, cli..
