VIDEO: Ryback Is Trying To Go To Summerslam

That’s a different gig. A lot of wrestlers come and go from WWE every year and a lot of them leave without much of an impact. You might remember a match or two here or there, but for the most part, they are just people who used to work there and don’t anymore. Very few do anything memorable, but now one of them with a bit of a reputation is trying to get back in, albeit in a different way. WWE is currently running a contest where a fan will be able to introduce a match at Summerslam. Former WWE star Ryback has posted a video to YouTube, officially entering the contest. In the video, Ryback introduces Roman Reigns vs. John Cena, the likely main event for the show, with various jokes and shots taken at both wrestlers and Reigns’ manager Paul Heyman. Ryback wrestled for WWE from 2005-2016, winning the Intercontinental Title and a variety of Slammy Awards. Since departing the company, Ryback has hosted a podcast called Conversations With The Big Guy where he has been highlight critical o..

The Usos’ Return To The Ring Is Confirmed

It’s a long time coming. There have been a lot of great tag teams in wrestling over the years and some of the best ever have been brothers. A pair of brothers are going to have a connection that others are never going to be able to replicate because they have known each other since before they started wrestling. One of those teams will be returning to the ring next week. This week on SmackDown, Jimmy Uso requested a tag match with his brother Jey against the Street Profits for next week’s show. Sonya Deville made the match and it was officially announced later in the show. However, Jey disapproved of Jimmy asking for the match, saying that he should have asked first. The match will be the Usos’ first match in over a year due to Jimmy’s knee injury. The Usos made their WWE debuts in 2010 and have teamed together since, save for a few missed stretches due to injuries. During their time together, the team has held six WWE Tag Team Titles and won two Slammy Awards for Tag Team of the Yea..

What Does “Angry Miz Girl” Think About His Recent Title Win?

One of the most infamous professional wrestling fans of all time is Caley, who is better known as “Angry Miz Girl”. This fan was visually upset in 2010 when The Miz won his first WWE Championship and was not afraid to show off her displeasure. Somewhere, #AngryMizGirl pouts again. #WWEChamber @mikethemiz pic.twitter.com/0BOPl8pcpR — WWE Universe (@WWEUniverse) February 22, 2021 But what does Caley think about the idea that he is once again the WWE Champion? She recently spoke with Abhilash Mendhe of Sportskeeda and had the following to say regarding the title change: “I personally think he’s one of the best on the roster, I know it’s a big change from my opinion 10 years ago but I love him when he’s a heel champion, I think he’s got the personality for it down to a T.” “I loved meeting The Miz and he was always super kind to me and he worked super hard, so I definitely think he deserves it.” Her reaction earned her a Slammy back in 2010: [This post contains video, click to play..

REVIEW: Monday Night Raw: December 21, 2015: Envelopes Please

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Monday Night Raw Date: December 21, 2015 Location: Target Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota Commentators: Michael Cole, John Bradshaw Layfield, Byron Saxton It’s the Slammy Awards! Tonight is all about picking the best of the year, or at least whoever the fans pick as the best of the year. The big award is of course Superstar of the Year which is likely going to Roman Reigns again. The other major story though is fallout from last week’s World Title change, which likely means Stephanie going after Reigns. Let’s get to i..

VIDEO: WWE Presents 2020 Slammy Awards, All Winners

It’s like a championship! The year is wrapping up and a lot of people are likely rather pleased with that being the case. We are on the way to a new year but that also means that we are looking back on what took place over the course of the year. WWE has had a lot of problems in 2020 but it has also had some good news. Now WWE is rewarding those great things. Back in 1986, WWE introduced the Slammy Awards as a tongue in cheek look back at the best parts of the year. This made for some interesting shows as the awards have been presented on and off over the years. The awards have not been around since 2015, but this is a unique year and that means it is time to bring them out of mothballs, which was done this week. WWE presented the 2020 Slammy Awards on Wednesday with the ceremony airing on the Bump. There were seventeen awards presented during the show, with several guest presenters and R-Truth as the host. These awards only count for Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, as NXT has its ow..
