A Long Time: Gunther Breaks 18 Year Old Record As Intercontinental Champion
That’s a long time. Title reigns can be some of the most important things in a wrestler’s career. If someone holds a championship for a long time, it can make them feel like that much bigger of a star. A wrestler being able to hold onto a championship for several months, if not longer, can be a game changer for them and now someone is doing it for the second time. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: One More: 51 Year Old Former World Champion Announces Planned Return To The Ring WWE has released a video on their YouTube page, announcing that Gunther is now the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of the century. Gunther has held the title for 245 days, breaking Shelton Benjamin’s mark from 2004/5. If Gunther holds the title for three more weeks, he will pass the Rock for the longest title reign since Mr. Perfect in 1990/1. Gunther previously held the record for longest title reign of any kind in WWE this century with an 870 day reign as United Kingdom Champion, which was broken by Roman Rei..

WRESTLING RUMORS: More Evidence WWE Is Teasing A Hurt Business Reunion
The important piece. There have been a lot of stables throughout WWE’s history but most of them follow a fairly standard formula. Most WWE stables are focused around one major star, with other smaller stars supporting them. Without the right balance, the stable is rarely going to work, meaning it has to be put together correctly. It seems a possibly returning stable is working to get the right centerpiece. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: International Incident: WWE Star Loses Title At Major International Event Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, a backstage segment showed MVP talking to former Hurt Business members Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. According to Wrestlingnews.co, MVP recently asked Adam Pearce (also in the segment with Benjamin and Alexander) about fellow Hurt Business member Bobby Lashley. There is no word on when or if the Hurt Business could reform. That could make for a heck of a team. Check out the Hurt Business in action: [This post contains video, click to pla..

LOOK: WWE Teases Popular Stable Reunion On Monday Night Raw
Reunion? There are so many wrestlers on the WWE roster that it is difficult to find something for all of them to do. One of the best ways to deal with the problem is to group them together in stables. WWE has used them for years and that tradition continues to be the case to this day. It now seems that WWE is at least considering a reunion of a departed stable. LOOK: Bianca Belair Enters Fashion And Fitness Competition (And SMASHES It)
It suits her. There are some incredible athletes in wrestling and a lot of them do not get the credit that they deserve for being so skilled at what they do. Just Not Quite: WWE Legend On Why Shelton Benjamin Didn’t Become A Main Event Star

There is always the option of switching things up, and that could be done in a variety of ways. Now it seems that WWE is making an effort to change up one of its longest standing veterans into something more serious. In recent weeks, Shelton Benjamin and R-Truth have teamed together on Main Event. This week, the two were backstage where Benjamin talked about how he needed to take things more seriously. Benjamin said that he had more of his career behind him than in front of him and everyone told him to be more serious around here. WWE Star Issues Bounty On Shelton Benjamin
You don’t hear about that very often. There are certainly angles that take place more than once in wrestling, but only after a long time has passed. That was the case with the bounty, as Harley Race offered thousands of dollars to anyone who would take out Ric Flair before Starrcade 1983. Triple H did the same thing with Goldberg in 2003, but now we are getting a slightly different version of the idea. This week’s Monday Night Raw featured the return of the Hurt Business, as Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin rejoined Bobby Lashley. The reformed team attempted to cost Big E. the WWE Title but the New Day made the save. WWE star Mia Yim has tweeted about the situation, offering any member of the New Day $20 to take out Benjamin. New Day has yet to respond to the offer. The new day Vs hurt business…. I love it!!! Run It Back: Stable Reforms On Monday Night Raw
Reunion special. Stables are one of the easiest ideas in wrestling because they allow wrestlers to get together and save a lot of time. There are some legendary stables over the years and some of them have been very successful. We have seen a bit of a renaissance of stables in recent years and now a recently split one seems to be primed for another crack at success. This week on Monday Night Raw, Bobby Lashley challenged Big E. for the WWE Title. Near the end of the match, Big E. speared Lashley through the ropes, where Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin appeared. The two were wearing Hurt Business shirts and nodded to Lashley, suggesting that the team was back together before the match ended in a disqualification. The Hurt Business, also including MVP, formed last year and saw success, including winning the Raw Tag Team Titles. They would ultimately split in January of this year, with Benjamin and Alexander being thrown out. You might remember the Hurt Business. Check out some of..

Two NXT Champions Appearing On WWE TV This Week *SPOILERS*
Meet the new generation. WWE is a huge wrestling company and as a result they only have so many spots available for all of their talent. At some point you are going to have to bring in some fresh names as you can only do so much with what is currently available. That is where NXT comes in, and a lot of its roster has the skills to be called up immediately. It seems that we could be seeing that with two names soon. According to PWInsider.com, two NXT champions will be in action on this week’s edition of Main Event. During the show, North American Champion Bronson Reed defeated Drew Gulak and NXT Champion Karrion Kross defeated Shelton Benjamin. MVP’s Photo Fuels Speculation Over Hurt Business’ Future
I’d call it an upgrade. Stables are a concept that has been around wrestling for decades now, as they serve more than a few purposes at the same time. WWE has started to use them a bit more as of late and that has helped their television product a fairly good bit. Some of them are stronger than others, and now another one is teasing a heck of an upgrade. MVP has posted a new photo of himself and the Street Profits to his Instagram account. This has led to some speculation that the Street Profits may be looking into joining the Hurt Business in the near future. The Hurt Business currently consists of only MVP and Bobby Lashley, but once also included Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. The WWE on FOX Twitter accounted posted the photo as well, with three interested eyes emojis. There have been no reports to suggest that the team could be joining the Hurt Business and this is merely speculation at the time. Former Champions Make Surprise Return On Monday Night Raw
Welcome back. Injuries can be one of the worst things possible in wrestling as anyone can be taken out of the ring at any given time. Some injuries are worse than others but anything that puts someone on the shelf for any amount of time is a bad thing. Sometimes you see someone go on the shelf for a long time but most of the time, someone gets to come back. That was the case this week on Monday Night Raw. The Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania is quite possibly the biggest show of the year. The event is knock for having all kinds of surprises, returns, debuts and major angles taking place all throughout the night. Ivar of the Viking Raiders made his return during this week’s Monday Night Raw, teaming with Erik to defeat Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin in a tag match. This was Ivar’s first match since the September 7, 2020..
