AEW Rampage Results – February 24, 2023

Rampage Date: February 24, 2023 Location: Footprint Center, Phoenix, Arizona Commentators: Jim Ross, Chris Jericho, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone We’re still in the desert and Rampage is still searching for a more viable formula. I’m not sure why AEW seems to punt on this show so often but it does produce some enjoyable results. If you can get by without the star power after the first match, you should be in for a fun one and hopefully that is true this week. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Aussie Open vs. Young Bucks Kenny Omega is here with the Bucks. The Aussies deck the Bucks to start and isolate Matt for a kick to the chest and backsplash. Matt manages to backflip away from both of them and brings in Nick to walk the ropes into a wristdrag/headscissors combination. The Bucks clear the ring but the bigger Davis comes back in to slam them both at the same time. Nick’s pop up dropkick sends Davis to the floor though and Matt grabs a running flipping neckbreaker to send Fletcher int..

AEW Dynamite Results – February 15, 2023

Dynamite Date: February 15, 2023 Location: Sames Auto Arena, Laredo, Texas Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We are less than a month away from Revolution and as of last week, we officially have a main event. Bryan Danielson earned his title shot against MJF, which will come in the form of a sixty minute iron man match. With that out of the way, the rest of the card needs to be built up so let’s get to it. In Memory of Jerry Jarrett. Jeff Jarrett/Jay Lethal/Sonjay Dutt/Satnam Singh vs. Orange Cassidy/Billy Gunn/Acclaimed Bowens runs Lethal over to start and it’s off to Caster for two off a powerslam. Jarrett comes in and drops Caster before handing it off to Singh. Gunn, who almost a foot shorter than Singh, wants to come in but it’s Cassidy coming in instead. Actually it’s Dutt getting Cassidy instead……or actually make that Billy vs. Jeff. Cue the Gunns to mock the scissoring before telling various people to suck it. Lethal gets in a knee to the back to take Billy down ..

NXT Results – December 20, 2022

NXT Date: December 20, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Booker T., Vic Joseph We are almost done with the year and won’t have another live show until January, as this week and next week are taped in advance. The big story coming out of last week is Roxanne Perez winning the Women’s Title from Mandy Rose, who is already gone from the promotion in a surprise. That is going to lead to some fallout so let’s get to it. We open with a long recap of Perez winning the Women’s Title over Rose last week. Opening sequence. Carmelo Hayes vs. Axiom Trick Williams is here with Hayes. Feeling out process to start with Axiom’s headlock being countered into a headscissors. Back up and Axiom misses a kick to the head but grabs a northern lights suplex for two. Hayes’ springboard cutter misses hard though and we take a break. We come back with Axiom in control and grabbing a waistlock. That’s reversed into a crossface but Axiom slips away without much trouble. ..

AEW Dynamite Results – November 9, 2022

Dynamite Date: November 9, 2022 Location: Aggaris Arena, Boston, Massachusetts Commentators: Excalibur, Taz, Tony Schiavone We are just over a week away from Full Gear and the card could use some help. So far the main matches are a four way for the Ring Of Honor World Title and MJF challenging Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title. Other than that we a few title matches and the finals of a tournament that hasn’t started yet. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Gunn Club/Swerve In Our Glory vs. FTR/Acclaimed Billy Gunn storms the ring before the bell but gets ejected for jumping Swerve. We settle down to Wheeler hammering on Swerve in the corner as the fans are rather pleased with the goings on. The good guys take turns on Swerve, including the scissoring from the Acclaimed, as everything breaks down, with the four villains getting punches rained down in the corner. We take a break and come back with Harwood suplexing his way out of trouble and avoiding a splash in the corner. The hot t..

WATCH: Sasha Banks Trains In The Ring With 47 Year Old Former WWE Star

That’s another name. One of the biggest stories of WWE has been the career trajectory of Sasha Banks. Back in May, Banks and Naomi walked out on WWE, forfeiting the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles in the first place. In recent months, there has been talk of Banks returning to the company. In the mean time though, she has been staying with her training and now we can see her doing so. A video has been posted to Twitter showing Banks training with former WWE and WCW star Juventud Guerrera. The video seems to have been filmed recently and shows Banks headscissoring Guerrera. There is no word on when or if Banks will be returning to WWE, though she and Naomi were recently returned to the WWE television signature introduction video. She still has it. Check out Banks in the ring: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is the kind of thing that gives fans hope, but at the end of the day, it is all about her returning to the ring, which may not be taking place so soon. Banks i..

AEW Rampage Results – November 4, 2022

Rampage Date: November 4, 2022 Location: Jim Whalen Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Mike Tyson, Tony Schiavone You might notice an interesting guest star here as Iron Mike Tyson is making another appearance for the company. I’m not sure how well that is going to go, but Tyson is likely going to bring some energy. The big match this week is a special appearance by Katsuyori Shibata as he challenges Orange Cassidy for the All-Atlantic Title. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Mike Tyson gets a special entrance. Video on Katsuyori Shibata, who hits people very hard and is back after what appeared to be a career ending injury. All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy vs. Katsuyori Shibata Cassidy is defending. They stare each other down so Shibata grabs a headlock takeover. A headscissors gets Cassidy out of trouble before cranking on the ankle. Shibata misses the big kick to the head and gets forearmed off the apron, setting up the suicide dive...

NXT Results – October 25, 2022

NXT Date: October 25, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T. We’re fresh off of Halloween Havoc and that means not much has really changed. The only new champion crowned was Wes Lee, who won the vacant North American Title. In other words, pretty much everyone should be on to something new as we are coming up on Deadline in about six weeks. We do have a pair of Tag Team Title matches though, which feel like matches that they just couldn’t fit on Halloween Havoc. Let’s get to it. We open with a recap of Halloween Havoc. Women’s Tag Team Titles: Kayden Carter/Katana Chance vs. Zoey Stark/Nikkita Lyons Stark and Lyons are challenging. Carter and Lyons start, with the latter busting out some splits. Stark comes in for a chinlock which doesn’t work very well, allowing Carter to kick her away. Chance slingshots in with a flipping splash for two but a headscissors gets Stark out of trouble. Lyons comes in and works on Chance’s back unt..

AEW Rampage Results – October 21, 2022

Rampage Date: October 21, 2022 Location: Daily’s Place, Jacksonville, Florida Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur We’re live this week and not taped after Dynamite for a change. We’re also back in the old stomping grounds of Jacksonville and the card happens to be stacked with three title matches in an hour. That should be enough to carry the show, though Rampage has a bad tendency to underwhelm. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Tag Team Titles: Acclaimed vs. Varsity Athletes The Acclaimed is defending and it’s titles vs. the SCISSOR ME trademark. The Athletes tease an early scissoring and get jumped from behind, only to send the champs outside. Back in and the Acclaimed break up some more scissoring and a powerslam plants Woods. Caster gets knocked outside, where Billy Gunn chases Tony Nese around. That’s enough for a Gunn ejection, much to Sterling’s delight. We take a break and come back with Bowens getting the tag to come in and clean house. Everything breaks do..

NXT Results – October 18, 2022

NXT Date: October 18, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Booker T, Vic Joseph It’s the go home show for Halloween Havoc and that means it is time for the final push towards the show. In this case that means we have some main roster stars in some Pick Your Poison matches for Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez. Other than that, we need one more night to set up the triple threat NXT Title match, which certainly needs the help. Let’s get to it. Rhea Ripley vs. Roxanne Perez The rest of Judgment Day is here with Ripley, who is Cora Jade’s pick to face Perez. The fans are glad to see Rhea and think she is going to kill Perez, rather enthusiastically really. Perez goes for the wristlock to little avail and the spinning headscissors doesn’t work. A chop just makes Ripley mad so she headbutts Perez in the ribs. Ripley forearms her into the back and is starting to look rather comfortable. A quick hurricanrana sends Ripley outside but she moves before Perez can di..

WATCH: Undertaker Slaps Michelle McCool With A Tortilla

You don’t see that every day. There are certain names in wrestling who have become some of the biggest stars of all time. You know these names as soon as anyone comes close to referencing them and WWE certainly has their share. It can be interesting to see one of them do something that is out of their nature and that is certainly what took place between two legends. Former WWE star Michelle McCool has posted a video of herself and her husband the Undertaker taking the Tortilla Challenge. The idea is that both have water in their mouth and, after playing a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, one of them hits the other in the face with a tortilla. McCool said they took the challenge due to their daughter insisting, with McCool spitting water in Undertaker’s face at the end anyway. It’s still weird to see. Check out Undertaker and McCool taking the challenge: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: After thirty years of Undertaker being the stoic, always in character star, it is..

AEW Rampage Results – September 30, 2022

Rampage Date: September 30, 2022 Location: Liacouras Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Commentators: Excalibur, Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone Rampage is back to normal this week and that should make for a decent enough show. You never know what you’re going to get around here, though odds are you’ll get at least one important thing. Other than that though, there is a good chance you’ll be seeing some names who aren’t around on Dynamite very often. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Tag Team Titles: Acclaimed vs. Butcher and the Blade vs. Private Party Acclaimed, with Billy Gunn, is defending. Bowens and Kassidy start things off as Matt Hardy is watching in the back. They trade quick one counts as the fans sing in praise of the Acclaimed. A standoff gives us a handshake before Bowens drives Kassidy into the corner for the tag off to Castor. With Kassidy down, Castor stops for some scissoring with Gunn before Bowens comes in for a neckbreaker onto Castor’s knees. Quen comes in and gets a..

SmackDown Results – September 30, 2022

Smackdown Date: September 30, 2022 Location: Canada Life Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Commentators: Corey Graves, Michael Cole We are eight days away from Extreme Rules and the card is mostly set. There are enough matches ready to go for the show but it wouldn’t surprise me to see a little more added this week. That isn’t a bad thing as there is no major match just yet, but that leaves some ground to be covered. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Madcap Moss/Ricochet vs. Solo Sikoa/Sami Zayn Ricochet headscissors Sami down to start and snaps off a dropkick as Graves compares the Bloodline to the family on House of the Dragons. Moss and Sikoa come in with the former getting taken down into the corner for a stomping. It’s back to Zayn and everything breaks down, with the villains being sent outside. Moss LAUNCHES Ricochet over the top and onto the both of them as we take a break. Back with Ricochet fighting out of a nerve hold but getting Samoan dropped for two. Another Samoan ..

AEW Dynamite Results – July 13, 2022 (Fyter Fest Week One)

Dynamite Date: July 13, 2022 Location: Enmarket Arena, Savannah, Georgia Commentators: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Taz We’re on the way to Death Before Dishonor and thankfully the build for that show hasn’t taken everything over like the Forbidden Door stuff did. It’s the first of four Fyter Fest shows and the Tag Team Titles are on the line as the Young Bucks defend against Swerve Strickland/Keith Lee and Team Taz. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. TNT Title: Wardlow vs. Orange Cassidy Cassidy is challenging, with the Best Friends in his corner (complete with managers’ licenses). They go with the test of strength to start and Cassidy puts his hands in his pockets….which are torn off by Wardlow. Now Wardlow’s straps come down….with Cassidy putting them right back up. The Powerbomb Symphony is broken up and Cassidy snaps off a headscissors but comes up favoring his eye. The referee checks on him, allowing Chuck Taylor to whip out A CHAINSAW. Believe it or not, that’s enough for an e..

NXT UK Results – May 12, 2022

NXT UK Date: May 12, 2022 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Andy Shepherd, Nigel McGuinness It’s a big time show this week as we have the 200th episode (though that doesn’t seem to be the case if you actually count them up). Counting issues aside, we have a big main event as United Kingdom Champion Ilja Dragunov is defending against Jordan Devlin in a title match that is also Loser Leaves Town. Let’s get to it. The opening video looks at the title match. Opening sequence. Ashton Smith/Oliver Carter vs. Gallus The winners move on to a triple threat Tag Team Title match and it’s the Coffey brothers for Gallus. Mark powers Carter to the mat to start and it’s quickly off to Joe for a chop as commentary talks about Joe never winning anything. Carter sends Mark into the corner with a headscissors and starts in on the arm, with Smith coming in to do the same. That doesn’t work for Mark, who runs Carter over and hands it back to Joe….who is quickly knocked to the f..

Impact Wrestling Rebellion 2022 Results

Rebellion 2022 Date: April 24, 2022 Location: Majed J. Nesheiwat Convention Center, Poughkeepsie, New York Commentators: Matthew Rehwoldt, Tom Hannifan It’s back to pay per view for Impact and this time they have made me want to see what they have to offer. The main event is a long awaited showdown between Moose and Josh Alexander for the World Title, after Moose took the title at Bound For Glory and then went after Alexander’s family. The rest of the card looks pretty good too so let’s get to it. Pre-Show: Eddie Edwards vs. Chris Bey Bey is replacing an injured Jonathan Gresham. There are no seconds here for a change and the fans are behind Bey, complete with the TOO SWEET chants. Feeling out process to start with Bey grabbing a headscissors but getting taken down with a shot to the face. An overhead belly to belly suplex drops Bey again but he fires off some kicks to send Edwards outside. There’s the big running flip dive, sending Rehwoldt into an Inception reference. Edwards hits..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – March 16, 2022

Ring Of Honor Date: March 16, 2022 Things are getting a bit more interesting, or at least a bit more intriguing, around here as we get to find out what they are throwing out there next. The relaunch is in a few weeks but there are still some shows to fill in. Thankfully that has included opening the video vault and there is some great stuff in there. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. This week’s show is looking at some of the greatest hits of Supercard of Honor, the annual Wrestlemania weekend show. From Supercard Of Honor on March 31, 2006. Dragon Kid/Genki Horiguchi/Ryo Saito vs. Cima/Narkui Doi/Masato Yoshino Yoshino works on Horiguchi’s arm to start and they trade armdrags into a standoff. Doi comes in to face Kid (via tags, though they aren’t required here) for a fast standoff so it’s off to Cima vs. Horiguchi. Cima accidentally knocks Doi off the apron so Horiguchi headscissors him out to the floor. Saito comes in and Samoan drops Yoshino and it’s Kid coming in with an ax h..

NXT UK Results – March 10, 2022

NXT UK Date: March 10, 2022 Location: BT Sports Studios, London, England Commentators: Andy Shepherd, Nigel McGuinness It’s time for another title match as Noam Dar will be defending the Heritage Cup against Joe Coffey in the main event. The other big match will see A-Kid facing Charlie Dempsey in what could be a spectacle of technical wrestling. This show is such a breath of air compared to the main roster stuff so let’s get to it. We open with a look at the Heritage Cup Title match. Opening sequence. Charlie Dempsey vs. A-Kid During his entrance, Dempsey says he’s doing this himself, without Die Familie. Dempsey’s early cravate is escaped with a cartwheel and they stare at each other a bit. A-Kid gets taken down by the arm but reverses into a headlock. That is countered into a headscissors as they stay with the technical stuff to start. They go to the test of strength and flip around a bunch, with Dempsey bridging up on his neck. A-Kid can’t break it down no matter what and give..

Ring Of Honor TV Results – March 2, 2022

Ring Of Honor Date: March 2, 2022 We have one more Hall of Fame special here and this time we are looking at CM Punk. This is one of the big ones as Punk played such a role in putting Ring of Honor on the map. Between his feuds with Raven and Samoa Joe, plus the Summer of Punk, there is a lot to pick from here and that makes things all the more fun. Let’s get to it. We open with Punk’s Hall of Fame video, including a look at straightedge, plus the highlights of his Ring of Honor career. From Death Before Dishonor III on June 18, 2005. Ring of Honor World Title: CM Punk vs. Austin Aries Aries is defending and drives Punk up against the ropes off a lockup. With that not going anywhere, they fight over a series of standing switches until Punk backs him into the corner for a break. Aries is back up with a middle rope elbow to the face before grinding away on a headlock. Punk reverses to a headscissors to work on Aries’ bad neck, allowing commentary to talk about all of the great things..

NXT LVL Up Results – March 4, 2022

NXT LVL Up Date: March 4, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Sudu Shah, Nigel McGuinness NXT has started to change a bit now as it has a big show coming up next month. That is something they have been needing, though again I can’t imagine it makes much of a difference around here. This is the same dumping ground for lower level NXT stars who need to be in the ring and that isn’t exactly exciting stuff. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Dante Chen vs. Javier Bernal A lockup goes nowhere to start as they roll away from each other before Bernal grabs a headscissors on the mat. Back up and Chen slips out of an abdominal stretch attempt but gets rolled up for two. A belly to back suplex gets Chen out of trouble but his chinlock doesn’t last long. Bernal comes back with a crossbody for two, only to have Chen roll him up for the pin at 3:26. Result: Dante Chen b. Javier Bernal – Rollup (3:26) Respect is shown post match. Tiffany Stratton vs. Erica Y..

AEW Revolution 2022 Live Coverage And Results

Revolution 2022 Date: March 6, 2022 Location: Addition Financial Arena, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Excalibur, Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone We’re back on pay per view and that is usually a pretty good thing for AEW. This is an absolutely packed show with a twelve match (counting the Buy In) card, featuring a double main event of Hangman Page defending the World Title against Adam Cole and a dog collar match between CM Punk and MJF. Let’s get to it. Buy-In: Leyla Hirsch vs. Kris Statlander Grudge match. Leyla wastes no time in hammering away and taking Statlander down. They head outside, with Hirsch tying the arm up in the steps and crushing it hard for a nasty visual. Back in and Statlander gets in a shot of her own, only to get tied in the Tree of Woe. The arm is tied in the ropes again and there’s a running dropkick to said arm, knocking Statlander back to the mat. Statlander avoids a shot though and it’s a bodyscissors to keep Hirsch down. That’s broken up and they slug it out unt..
