The Other Side: There Is Another Reason The Briscoes Were Not Allowed On AEW TV

There is more to it than that. Sadly, one of the biggest wrestling stories of the year so far has been the death of Jay Briscoe last week due to a car crash. The wrestling world has poured out tribute after tribute to Briscoe, including a special match this week on Dynamite with his brother Mark defeating Jay Lethal. It was the first time a Briscoe appeared on AEW TV and now we know a bit more about why. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It Happened Again: Another AEW Star Out Of Action With An Injury The main reason the Briscoes were not allowed on AEW TV was a series of homophobic tweets that Jay sent out in 2011-2013. However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, in addition to the tweets, Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD) did not want the Briscoes on AEW TV due to their use of the Confederate flag earlier in their careers. AEW’s contract with WBD also possibly gave WBD to ban anyone from an AEW event, which prevented the Briscoes from appearing on AEW pay per views despite Tony Kha..

Josh Wharton, a family friend of the Briscoes, uploaded a live stream on Friday with an update on Briscoe’s daughters. Gracie, 12 years old, regained movement in her lower limbs for the first time since the accident. She has also been removed from her IV medication and is recovering. Jayleigh, 9 years old, is now in a back brace and should be able to recover from her injuries over the next several weeks. The hospital had hoped that her NG tube could be removed on Saturday, allowing her to eat and drink as normal. Here is something a bit easier to take. Ric Flair Blasts Fellow WWE Hall Of Famer, “What A Joke!”

Can’t they all just get along? There have been all kinds of stars throughout the history of WWE, with only a small handful reaching the top of the company. It means a lot to see one of those stars becoming all time legends, meaning they are remembered long after they hang up their boots. At the same time though, not all legends get along and that is the case again, with one having something to say about the other. WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair took to Twitter this week to bash fell Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield for his history of bullying accusations. Flair said that WWE’s anti-bullying campaign must not apply to Layfield, with Flair naming Joey Styles and “Jason” Roberts (presumably Justin Roberts, who accused Layfield of bullying) as former victims. Layfield currently appears on Monday Night Raw as Baron Corbin’s manager. I Guess The Anti Bullying Program You So Heavily Endorsed Does Not Apply To Bradshaw!! Jason Roberts And Joey Styles!! What A Joke! And He’s In The HOF! Sad!..

Former WWE Star Reportedly Retired From In-Ring Competition

It was a great run? Wrestlers are unlike other athletes as they eventually have to step away from the ring and move on to something else. That can be a little tricky as you never know when someone is going to wrestle their last match. Sometimes you have to wait to hear the announcement from the source itself, but now we are getting something fairly close enough. During a recent edition of The Sessions with Renee Paquette, AEW’s Shawn Spears said that former WWE star Tyler Breeze told him he was retired from the ring. The two were training together at their training school and Breeze said he was done in the ring rather than getting ready for a return. Spears says that he can still see the excitement in Breeze’s eyes but Breeze said he is done. Breeze, 34 years old, last wrestled on the June 15, 2021 edition of NXT before being released from WWE. Opinion: This is sad to hear and hopefully Breeze is not retired at just 34 years old. He is a very talented star and someone who has done ve..

Mick Foley Says He Is Unlikely To Appear On WWE TV Ever Again

One more time would be nice. Wrestlers are in a weird situation when it comes to retirement. Unlike other athletes, wrestlers are able to keep going for one more match or appearance, as they can keep trying for one more big day. Some wrestlers are able to walk away, but it might not always be under the best circumstances. That might be the situation again for an all time legend. During a recent edition of his Foley Is Pod podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley said that he is more than likely going to turn down any offer to ever return to WWE TV again. Since he is unable to remember a written promo due to memory loss issues, Foley felt that he would be unable to help in the way that he wanted to. Foley said that he did not want to return to WWE, get a cheap pop and promote something, but rather help a wrestler or a storyline. Foley last appeared in WWE in July 2019, where he was attacked by the Fiend. Opinion: As sad as it is to see, this is one of those things that is going to happen..

Wrestling Legend Reveals He Occasionally Needs A Wheelchair Due To Health Issues

That’s a horrible way to go. Wrestlers are quite the athletes and you see them getting in the ring week in and week out, putting all kinds of miles on their body. At some point that is going to cause some problems for everyone involved and there is not much of a way around it. That is the case for a wrestling legend, who is having some serious health issues in his retirement. During a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall Of Famer Mark Henry and AEW broadcaster Mark Henry revealed that he is not able to wrestle anymore due to nerve damage in his back. As a result of the nerve damage in his sacroiliac joint, Henry has had to occasionally take a wheelchair through the airport. While Henry’s doctor has told him that the issue could be fixed through surgery, Henry should wait until he can no longer walk and use surgery as his last resort. Opinion: That is never good to hear and it is sad to think of Henry, who was known for being such a big and strong wrestler, reduced to somethi..

The Important Bell: Excellent News On WWE Legend’s Battle Against Cancer

That is some great news. There have been some famous names throughout wrestling history and some of them are among the most likable athletes that you will ever see. Another One: WWE Legend Dealing With Serious Health Issues, GoFundMe Opened

This happens far too often. Wrestling is a weird business, as the wrestlers have little in the way of a guarantee. They will often bounce from one promotion to the other and pick up work where they can. In addition, they have nothing in the way of benefits and that can create a problem after their careers are over. As sad as it is, that is the case again for another former star. Former WWE star Mo, of Men On A Mission fame, has announced that he is undergoing health issues and is starting a GoFundMe to help pay for medical expenses. Mo’s issues stem from contracting the Coronavirus while being immunocompromised due to a previous kidney transplant. This resulted in a three week stint in the ICW as well as being on an oxygen machine since his release. Mo also had complications due to a hernia and is being fed through a feeding tube due to an emergency surgery. The fund is seeking to raise $50,000 and has reached just over $4,000 so far. Opinion: This is one of those things that you see..
