That’s a different one. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and some of them are not so common. You might see someone get hurt in a way that you have not heard before, or at least not heard of in a very long time. Either way, it can put someone on the shelf for a long time and that was the situation last year, when a star went on the shelf with something you probably do not hear very often. He Has To Pass: WWE Legend Announces He Will Not Be At Raw XXX Despite Being Rumored

He’ll catch you next time. Next week, WWE is presenting its Raw XXX special, honoring thirty years of Monday Night Raw being on the air. This is quite the occasion and WWE is going to bring in a variety of stars and legends who have played a part in the show’s legacy. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It’s Complicated: Speculation Over Bray Wyatt’s WrestleMania Plans, Why He Could Be A Problem WWE legend Tatanka has announced that he will not be appearing at Raw XXX despite being scheduled for the show. Tatanka said that while WWE contacted him five weeks ago, his son’s wrestling team qualified for the state tournament and he will be attending the competition instead of coming to the show. Tatanka wrestled for WWE in two stints, from 1991-1996 and 2005-2007, while making various one off appearances since. Even though @WWE contacted me 5 weeks ago, I will not be attending the 30th Annive..

Double Trouble: Roman Reigns And Drew McIntyre Suffer Same Injury In Same Match

Two at once? Injuries are one of the worst things that you can see in wrestling and sometimes they can show up out of nowhere. Occasionally you can see them take place and know right when it happened, but there are also instances where you only find out after the fact. Now two top WWE stars are both on the shelf for the time being with identical injuries that showed up in different ways. Clay-More: Update On Drew McIntyre’s Injury Status

That doesn’t sound so bad. There are all kinds of injuries a wrestler can deal with and once one takes place, the question instantly becomes how bad things are. An injury can keep someone on the shelf for the short term or a lot longer and that can create some issues. Now we know something else about an injury to a top WWE star and things could be a bit better than they seemed. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMOR: WWE Interested In Signing Second Generation Star This week on Monday Night Raw, an announcement was made that Drew McIntyre was medically disqualified from his upcoming Tag Team Title match with Sheamus against the Usos this week on SmackDown. According to Fightful Select, McIntyre’s injury is said to be minor and he is expected to return to the ring soon. There is still no word on what is wrong with him. McIntyre will be replaced by Butch in the title match. McIntyre is pretty good when he is healthy. Check out what he can do when he is in the ring: [This post contain..

Ouch: Drew McIntyre Dealing With Medical Issue, Upcoming Title Match Changed

Get well soon. There are all kinds of ways for a wrestler to get hurt and you never want to see it happen. Injuries can come out of nowhere and change up a promotion’s plans all at once. That can lead to some last minute changes that can make things interesting, and that might be the case again as a WWE injury has caused a change of plans for an upcoming title match. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Put It On The Resume: WWE Team Tops PWI’s Tag Team 100 List Last week on SmackDown, a Tag Team Title match was set for this week’s show, featuring Drew McIntyre and Sheamus challenging the Usos. Unfortunately I am medically disqualified to compete this Friday on #Smackdown I don’t like to ..

Longtime WWE Name Gone From Company After 14 Year Tenure

He was a big deal. There are all kinds of people who work together to make WWE programming a success. While the wrestlers are the ones who get the most attention, several other people are there to make the show come together as well. Some of these people will almost never get any recognition and now one of them is departing the company after a long time. According to PWInsider.com, Dr. Chris Amann has left WWE after fourteen years with the company. Amann reportedly gave notice earlier this year and wrapped up his time with WWE earlier this month. Amann is most well known as the doctor who sued CM Punk and Colt Cabana over their comments about his work on Cabana’s podcast. In addition, he also helped establish the WWE Wellness Policy. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that might not seem like a big deal but Amann has been around the company for a very long time now. It is going to mean something to see him gone, even if there will be another fully qualified doctor in his place soon. ..

Maybe Later: Grudge Match Officially Pulled From Summerslam Card Due To Injury

The card is subject to change. We are less than a week away from Summerslam and that means the card is mostly set up. There is not much time left to change things around but every now and then, WWE will wait for the last minute to switch things up, and that is the case again this time. Unfortunately, it seems to be that it is due to an injury to one of the wrestlers. This week on the Bump, it was announced that Seth Rollins vs. Riddle has been pulled from the Summerslam card. Riddle was injured during an attack from Rollins on Monday Night Raw, resulting in Riddle suffering a stinger. The match has officially been postponed, but according to Fightful Select, is scheduled to take place at Clash At The Castle. Riddle’s injury is storyline only and he is cleared to compete. BREAKING: @WWERollins injured @SuperKingofBros with a vicious attack on #WWERaw that resulted in a brachial plexus injury (a stinger). Riddle is medically disqualified until full strength returns. Due to this injury..

It’s A Special Case: Monday Night Raw Match Ends Due To Secret Rule

That’s the reason. Wrestling is a lot of things, but it is supposed to be presented as a sport. That means following various rules and regulations, with most matches following the same ones. On occasion there will be a match with something changed for a special situation, but this time around things were even more out there, as a match ended due to a rule that few know about. This week on Monday Night Raw, AJ Styles and Ezekiel defeated the Miz and Ciampa via disqualification when the illegal Ciampa attacked AJ Styles. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this was due to a secret rule in WWE. In a tag match, a wrestler is allowed to make one illegal save, with the second drawing a disqualification. Ciampa was making his second save and was disqualified as a result. Opinion: I’m not sure I get why this is a secret rule. If someone is making an illegal save, isn’t that breaking a rule by definition? This doesn’t sound so much like a secret as much as it sounds like being a bit tediou..

There They Go: Two More Names Qualify For Money In The Bank On Second Try

The field is almost complete. We are less than a week away from WWE’s annual Money In The Bank event and the card is mostly set. As usual, the show will be built around the namesake ladder matches, which will feature several men and women vying for what is nearly a guaranteed title reign at some point in the next year. Now we know two more of the entrants. This week on Monday Night Raw, two more people qualified for the Money In The Bank ladder matches. In the opening match on the show, Riddle won a battle royal, last eliminating the Miz, to earn his spot. Then, in the show’s main event, Becky Lynch won a five woman elimination match, last eliminating Doudrop, to become part of the women’s match. The completes the women’s field while the men’s has one spot remaining. Opinion: This is the kind of night that the pay per view needed as you have two of the likely favorites joining the field in the span of three hours. Riddle is going to be a heavy favorite and Lynch is the biggest star i..

Big Time: WWE Planning Major Match For Summerslam

That’s a plan for later. We are rapidly approaching WWE’s Money in the Bank pay per view and the show is going to be rather stacked. That being said, there are other major events later in the year that need to be built up as well. WWE also needs to get ready for Summerslam and now it seems that they have the plans in place for one of the bigger matches on the show. This week on Monday Night Raw, Omos defeated Riddle in a Money in the Bank qualifying match. Following the match, Seth Rollins attacked Riddle, including laying him out with a Stomp. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this is likely setting up a match between the two at Summerslam. Riddle is currently not scheduled for Money in the Bank and Rollins has already qualified for the men’s ladder match, making Summerslam the first pay per view where the match could take place. Opinion: I don’t think it is any kind of a surprise that Riddle vs. Rollins is coming, but waiting for Summerslam is a bit different. It is rare for W..

Two More: Multiple Names Qualify For Money In The Bank Ladder Matches

There are a few more. With less than two weeks to go before WWE Money in the Bank, WWE still has several slots left to fill for the show. This includes multiple names for the show’s namesake matches but WWE has already gotten some of them covered. They did even more of that this week, as a few more names qualified for the men’s and women’s versions of the matches. Two more names were added to Money in the Bank ladder matches this week on Monday Night Raw, with one man and one woman qualifying. First up, Omos defeated Riddle to become the fourth entrant (along with Seth Rollins, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre) in the men’s match. Later, in the show’s main event, Asuka defeated Becky Lynch to join Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in the women’s match. Eight entrants are scheduled per match, with the show taking place on July 2. Opinion: The last few weeks have been full of matches where the fields grow, but then the ladder matches themselves have to actually work. T..

Put Them In: More Names Qualify For Money In The Bank Ladder Matches

Three more. We are rapidly approaching the next WWE pay per view with Money In The Bank. The show is one of the most important on the WWE calendar as winning the show’s namesake match can be a game changer for anyone’s career. Being in the match means you have a shot, and now we know some more names who are going to be included on the show’s card. First, Liv Morgan and Alexa Bliss defeated Nikki Ash and Doudrop in a tag match where the winning team qualified for the Women’s version. Later, Seth Rollins defeated AJ Styles to qualify for the Men’s match. This leaves five spots left in the Women’s match and seven left in the Men’s match. Opinion: You have to get these spots set up sooner than later and that is what WWE is doing here. They had to start filling in some of those spots because the show is in just over two weeks. There are some big names already attached to the matches and that ..

We’ve Got A Match: Main Event Set For NXT: In Your House

There’s your big one. NXT has come a long way since its relaunch and that has been great to see for a lot of wrestlers, as well as the fans. What matters most is allowing more quality wrestling to be seen, which has often come in the form of some of the promotion’s bigger shows. That will be the case again next month, and now we know what will be headlining the card. This week on NXT, an NXT Title match was announced for the June 4 In Your House special. NXT Champion Bron Breakker agreed to defend the title against Joe Gacy, with the stipulation that Gacy will win the title if Breakker gets disqualified. This will be the second match between the two, after Breakker defeated Gacy in a previous title match earlier this month at NXT Breakin. Opinion: This has been quite the weird feud between the two of them and I’m not sure how much they need to have another match. The weirdest part is the fact that Breakker has already defeated Gacy, making a second match between the two feel a bit un..

Vince McMahon Wanted WWE Title Match At WrestleMania To Last Two Minutes

What could have been. There are a lot of wrestling events throughout the year but nothing really comes close to WrestleMania. Making it to WrestleMania is one of the highest points that a wrestler can achieve and it means a lot for them. Getting to be in a major spot on the show is an incredible moment for a wrestler’s career, but two legends almost got their spot cut down. During a recent edition of Talk Is Jericho, Chris Jericho talked about his WrestleMania 28 match against CM Punk for Punk’s WWE Title. The feud between the two involved Jericho attacking Punk and insulting his family, as well as pouring alcohol down his throat. This caused Vince McMahon to plan the match to last two minutes, with Punk getting disqualified for attacking Jericho, as McMahon thought would make sense. As a result, the match had a stipulation added where Punk would lose the title if he was disqualified. Punk would defeat Jericho at WrestleMania and then again in a street fight at Extreme Rules. Opinion..

Kevin Owens Has Some Grand Money In The Bank Plans

We aren’t done yet. One of the most interesting WWE stories over the last ten months has been Roman Reigns, who has dominated the SmackDown landscape. Reigns won the Universal Title on August 30 and there is nothing to suggest that he is slowing down anytime soon. One of the biggest problem is that Reigns is running out of challengers, but someone seems to have his eyes set on the title. This week on Talking Smack, Kevin Owens called Paul Heyman, who was not hosting the show as usual. Owens told Heyman not to hang up and promised to win the Money In The Bank contract and come after Reigns. He also said that there was nothing Heyman or Reigns could do about it. Owens qualified for Money In The Bank after defeating Sami Zayn in a Last Man Standing match on this week’s SmackDown. Owens has challenged Reigns during his time with the title, including a pair of pay per view matches. Reigns defeated Owens in a Tables Ladders And Chairs match at the pay per view of the same name in 2020, in ..

Owens has been in three previous Money In The Bank ladder matches but has never won. Owens has a history at Money In The Bank. Title Rematch Set For Money In The Bank

Keep the card growing. Money In The Bank is in less than a month and it is time to start getting ready for the show. Part of the problem with the show is having so many people involved in the namesake matches, leaving the rest of the card with a bit less to pick from. That makes the non-ladder matches a bit more interesting, and now we know one of the bigger ones. This week on Monday Night Raw, Sonya Deville announced that Charlotte will challenges Rhea Ripley for the Raw Women’s Title at Money In The Bank. This will be a rematch from Hell In A Cell, where Ripley was disqualified for hitting Charlotte in the face with part of the announcers’ table. Charlotte and Ripley had both come to the ring to address the situation, with Deville taking Charlotte’s comments as a challenge. We could be in for a heck of a fight. Check out how this feud has gotten here: [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] [This post contains video, click to play] ..
