These things have been used for years to set up matches, some of which are used a lot more often than others. Several of them are used by WWE to this day and now we know a lot more about the very specific details about a popular one. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: DIG IT! Randy Savage’s Rap Album (Yes That One) Is Coming Back In A Special Way This week’s Monday Night Raw saw a contract signing between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley for their Elimination Chamber match. Lesnar had already signed the contract coming in and, after a brawl between the two, Lashley signed the contract as well. The contract could be seen on the show and, according to Fightful Select, this is what the contract said: February 13th, 2023 To whom it may concern, This document shall serve as a legal and binding agreement amongst all parties scheduled for the Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley Match..

WWE Hires JPMorgan To Help With Sale of the Company

Let the bidding begin. According to a report from CNBC, WWE has hired JPMorgan to begin the process of selling the company. This is being reported following the news that Vince McMahon returned to the company yesterday. The report states that if a deal occurs, it would likely occur in the next three to six months. In addition, WWE plans to talk to potential buyers before it makes a decision on TV rights renewal agreements. McMahon had the following to stay in a statement: “My return will allow WWE, as well as any transaction counterparties, to engage in these processes knowing they will have the support of the controlling shareholder.” His return doesn’t affect current leadership as Stephanie, and former CAA agent Nick Khan are co-CEOs. However, it remains unclear what type of role, if any, Vince would want at WWE if he sold the company. WWE has told investors that his role is essential in “our ability to create popular characters and creative storylines.” Currently, Vince doesn’t h..

Big Swole Announces She Is Leaving AEW

There she goes. According to a statement that was released via Twitter, AEW superstar Big Swole is leaving the company after the two parties mutually decided not to renew her contract. Swole had been part of the company since All Out 2019, where she competed in a 21-woman Casino Battle Royal. The statement reads as follows: Over the past couple of months my life has taken on the mantra grow, learn, change. Dealing with shadow work took strength I didn’t know I had. I think God for my loving family because they got me through some of the roughest months of my life. But I realized the real test is application. So I took my leap and after speaking with [Tony Khan] and AEW higher officials we’ve decided not to renew my contract with All Elite Wrestling. This was a hard decision but a needed one. I am grateful for their understanding and that we could mutually come to this agreement. I’ve enjoyed my time with AEW and wish them all the best. I appreciate their love and welcoming me into t..

Special Event Being Planned For After Summerslam

The real biggest party of the summer. WWE is getting back to normal from the Coronavirus and that is a great thing for fans. In addition to everything that is changing around the country, WWE has live fans back in attendance for their shows. This includes Summerslam, which may be the biggest show WWE presents all year. There are going to be things other than just the show, and one of them will be rather star studded. Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Tiffany Haddish will be hosting the official Summerslam after party in Las Vegas, Nevada. The invitation-only event will feature various celebrities and wrestlers, though no location has been announced. Wrestlers mentioned in the announcement include Ric Flair, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley and Goldberg. WWE has also made a donation to Haddish’s She Ready Foundation, which provides resources for foster children. WWE has had some parties of their own before. WWE Seemingly Cracking Down On Superstars’ Outside Ventures

That’s a big shot. Wrestlers are given quite a few responsibilities, as they have to go in the ring and wrestle but also market themselves at the same time. One of the best ways to do this is through selling their merchandising. Almost every wrestler has their own t-shirt with some of them having several to choose from. It is a lucrative side business for WWE, which is why they seem to have made a big move. Last week, WWE issued a new rule saying that its wrestlers were no longer allowed to work with third parties to make money. This seemed to include services like Cameo and Twitch, which allowed wrestlers to interact with fans in a much more direct manner. However, wrestlers try to make money in other ways, one of which WWE seems to be taking away from them in a hurry. According to Wrestlinginc.com, Mustafa Ali’s Pro Wrestling Tees page has been taken down. A link on his Twitter page has been replaced with a link to his WWE Shop page. This seems to have been done in the last few day..

Rumor: WWE Having Major Issues Negotiating New Contract With AJ Styles

AJ Styles dropping the WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan on SmackDown Live this week was a surprise. Most people expected the title change at Crown Jewel, but Bryan didn’t go to Saudi Arabia and the rumor is that WWE officials just pushed their plans back a bit. However, it turns out there’s more happening with Styles behind the scenes. According to a report from DirtySheets, the company didn’t want to book Styles to lose against Brock Lesnar for the second straight year. The problem behind the scenes has been the contract negotiations between Styles and WWE have dragged on for months with the two parties being unable to agree on some major details of a new contract. Related: Why Did AJ Styles Lose The WWE Championship? The Phenomenal One is looking for a three-year deal with a reduced number of dates on the road to spend more time with his family. WWE officials want to lock him down for 5 years. The odds are high this next deal will be AJ’s last full-time contract with the company. T..

Johnny Gargano Addresses Being Compared To Daniel Bryan, And Speaks On Working With Candice LeRae In NXT

"Johnny Wrestling" is on fire. Former PWG World Tag Team Champion Candice LeRae signed with the WWE earlier this year and her first piece of on-screen action came in the form of taking down Zelina Vega for Vega's constant interference in Johnny Gargano and Andrade "Cien" Almas' NXT Championship match at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia. Johnny Gargano has stated on numerous occasions that he is elated to have Candice in the same company as he is and further dove into the topic in this interview. "It's amazing how everything has worked out. It's literally a dream come true to be in the position I'm in. To be abl..

The Taz Show Recap – RAW Analysis, Universal Title Segment Steals the Show, Are The Hardys About to Break? More!

Block 1:

Taz says he really enjoyed one segment from last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW in particular, and that was the segment featuring Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe. He says that this felt very real, and there was some extreme intensity between Joe and Lesnar in particular. Taz could tell that these guys were simply working from bullet points, and that made their promos feel more believable.

Taz thinks that this segment had Paul Heyman’s fingerprints all over it, and he thought all parties involved did a very good job. In addition, after almost getting the best of Brock Lesnar at Great Balls of Fire, Taz is glad that WWE didn’t just take Joe out of the main event picture right away without any explanation. Taz doesn’t think that Joe will defeat Reigns next week, but it’s good that he’s still involved in the Title picture.

Taz liked the majority of Big Cass’ promo which opened RAW last night. He says that at certain points in the promo Cass looked lost, but that’s going to happen when a lot of these younger talents are learning on the fly. We’ll probably see more and more of this as performers are basically starting their careers in WWE now, instead of honing their craft in the territories like they did years ago.

Overall, he thought that Cass spoke a lot of truth in his promo. Cass said that he’s going to be a star in WWE and will eventually be WWE Champion. Taz says he believes every word of that, and it’s only a matter of time before Cass skyrockets up the card, because it’s evident that WWE is firmly behind pushing him right now.

Vince Russo’s The Brand Recap – Paige & Del Rio Drama, Disco Inferno in WWE, Breaking Down Triple H’s Success, More!

Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Lane and Glenn Gilbertti (Disco Inferno).

Lane asks Russo and Gilbertti for their opinions on the rumours that Paige was sitting ringside at Slammiversary last weekend wearing a mask in order to protect her identity. Gilbertti says that he can’t lower his IQ enough to discuss this on an intellectual level. Russo says that if that was Paige, it’s easy to tell that this was a desperate move by her in order to get out of her contract.

Paige clearly wants to be with her boyfriend Del Rio in Global Force Wrestling, so Russo doesn’t understand why both parties can’t get on the same page here and make that release happen. WWE has actually referenced Paige’s leaked sex tape on WWE the last couple of weeks, but then they removed those references from the replays.

Gilbertti doesn’t understand this because the average age of their fans is 54, yet they’re still acting like they have to market to a young demographic. Russo says that if this was the attitude era, Del Rio would have been signed after Paige’s tape was released, and the storyline would have consisted of Del Rio and Paige accusing Xavier Woods of releasing that tape. This would have been a great storyline and everyone would have been talking about it.

Shelton Benjamin Not Returning to WWE?

It was reported earlier this week via Pro Wrestling Sheet that WWE and Shelton Benjamin are in talks about a possible return to the company, however that may not be the case.

Shelton Benjamin addressed rumors about his return to WWE in a new video message. He mentioned that he has an upcoming commitment on June 30th for Great North Wrestling. He brought up how everywhere he looks, people are speculating on where his career is heading. He then proceeded to cut a promo on his opponent Amanuel Hassan without any indication or hints that he would be returning to WWE.

You can check out his video message below:

It is still very possible that the two parties are in talks about a return. If that is the case they are just trying to keep it a secret. We will keep you updated if we hear anything else regarding the situation.

Vince Russo’s The Brand Recap – Women’s Tournament, Bobby Roode Deserves Main Roster, Is the PPV Model Dead? More!

Russo is joined on today’s show by his co-host Jeff Lane and Glenn Gilbertti (Disco Inferno).

Russo asks Gilbertti about the ongoing criticism towards Jinder Mahal by some wrestling fans, who accuse him of taking steroids. Gilbertti informs that he has tried steroids in the past and from his experience, it’s entirely possible to look the way Mahal does without taking steroids. With a lot of hard work in the gym and a good diet you can achieve a physique such as Mahal’s.

Lane informs that IMPACT Wrestling and Ed Nordholm are discussing bringing Billy Corgan back into the fold, to help mediate the discussions between the promotion and Matt Hardy. The thought is that Corgan can be of some value when it comes to bridging the gap between all the parties concerning the Broken Universe.

Russo says that Nordholm has far too many distractions right now, and his recent memo to wrestling media is a prime example of this. In this memo, Nordholm made public various private conversations between himself and Matt Hardy in an attempt to prove that he has been telling the truth. Russo says that Nordholm should be more focused on trying to revive IMPACT’s on-air product.

WWE Releases Statement on Child that Was Killed by a Batista Bomb

Two year-old Addie Cook died after being slammed by her mother’s boyfriend, who performed wrestling moves, including a “Batista Bomb” on the little girl. Police arrested Addie’s mother, 19-year-old Cheyenne Cook, and her boyfriend, 24-year-old Richard Gamache Jr., for the child’s murder.

Cook was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and has a $2,500 cash-only bond while Gamache was charged with abuse of neglect of a child and has a $500,000 cash-only bond.

WWE issued the following statement to FOX 2 Now regarding the issue:

“We are deeply saddened by this tragic death and hope that the guilty parties are brought to justice. There is no excuse or justification for the brutal and ultimately fatal beating of a 2-year-old child by a grown man. This is a clear case of criminal intent and a lack of parental supervision.”
