KB’s Review: Wrestling Shows Need Thank You Cards

We are less than a week away from Christmas and that should mean everyone has already written their letters to Santa Claus (though I have heard good things about giving them to your parents to take care of it for you). It’s also a time to look back at the good things we have and hopefully remember some of the better times that have taken place over the last year. That is certainly the case with wrestling and it is what we are going to look at this week. I’m going to keep things simple this week as we are going to look at the major wrestling shows (not promotions) and see what their best news/gift was this year. It might not have been the best year for wrestling, but there have certainly been good things to look at for almost every show. Those things need some attention, even if some of them are not exactly the strongest positives. Note that these are only going to be the shows that I watch, as there isn’t much of a point in talking about a show I don’t see. Also, for the sake of sani..

AEW Star Joining The Cast Of New Reality Series

Give him a shot. Wrestlers can get a weird reputation when it comes to acting. Some of them certainly have skills, but at the same time, a lot of them are only going to be able to get so far. That does not mean there are not opportunities for wrestlers in such a field, and now a fairly new wrestler is going to be getting the chance to show what he can do outside of the ring. E has announced that AEW’s Austin Gunn, the son of Billy Gunn, will be part of the cast of Relatively Famous: Ranch Rules, a new reality series. The show will see children of celebrities working on a ranch for thirty days in an attempt to get out of the shadow of their more famous parents. The first episode will debut on January 12 at 9pm EST. There is no word on how many episodes will air. Austin has done well enough in AEW so far. MJF’s Mother Bashes Him, Says She Is Embarrassed For Her Son

That’s how you treat a villain. Heels are an integral part of wrestling as a good evil wrestler is the way to draw fans into the arena. You need someone to break the rules and go after the good wrestlers to create conflict, which causes the matches to be made. A good heel is one of the most important thing you can have in a wrestling company and now a current one has reached quite the level. Nina Friedman, the mother of AEW’s Maxwell Jacob Friedman, appeared on Busted Open Radio and spoke about her son. Nina said that she believes her son should be the face of every advertisement for birth control as he is so disrespectful and ungrateful. She went on to say that Maxwell was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and how embarrassed she is of him and that she is not tolerating his “bull****.” Nina also wanted to know if she could file for emancipation from him. Earlier this year, Maxwell’s parents appeared on Dynamite with signs saying they couldn’t stand him either. Now that’s how you..

Bizarre Explanation For Why NXT Team Is Suddenly Being Booed

This is one for the books. NXT 2.0 has been quite the game changer for the NXT brand and some would argue that it has not been the best move. This is a completely different NXT after so many years of success under the old format. There are certain people who are associated with the old NXT and it turns out that some of them are influencing the modern version to this day. In recent weeks, former NXT Tag Team Champions MSK have been inexplicably booed during all of their appearances. The team has not undergone a heel turn or anything close to it, leaving little explanation for the reaction. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the reason stems from the parents of Bayley superfan Izzy, who regularly appeared during shows when Bayley was part of NXT. In 2018, MSK’s Nash Carter sent out a tweet criticizing the decision to allow Izzy, then thirteen years old, to take a chokeslam at an independent event. As a result, Izzy’s parents have convinced the current NXT fans to boo Carter anytime..

AEW’s Best: Even MJF’s Parents Can’t Stand Him

Does anyone like him? There are certain villains in wrestling who almost could not be a good person if they tried. These often make for the best heels in all of wrestling and it can be absolutely great to see some of these people allowed to let loose on the microphone. That is the case with one of the best villains going today but now he has gone another step beyond. This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite took place in New York City, the hometown of Maxwell Jacob Friedman. As a result, Friedman’s parents showed up at the event, with his mother holding a sign saying “we’re MJF’s parents and we think he sucks too.” Friedman’s father also wore an “I HATE MJF” shirt. Friedman responded with a tweet saying “f*** off mom”. During the show, Friedman defeated Brian Pillman Jr. via submission. Fuck off mom. https://t.co/MWeV6lOezG — Maxwell Jacob Friedman™? (@The_MJF) September 22, 2021 Friedman is a heck of a villain. Check out some of his best moments: [This post contains video, click to pl..

WWE Shifted Away From TV-PG This Week

It would certainly be different. There are a lot of criticisms about modern WWE and one of the biggest is that it is too PG. Several fans are not pleased with what is considered a more family friendly version of the company, which has been in place for a very long time now. While you will see flashes of different kinds of programming, it is rare to see WWE offering more mature, adult style stories. That might be changing, at least for the short term. Some of these complaints make a lot of sense, but at the same time the PG model makes sense for families. If younger people are watching the show, they might not be able to get to a show on their own. That means coming with their parents, which means two (or even three) tickets sold, plus more concessions and possibly merchandise. Throw in better advertising opportunities and it is a fairly easy concept to follow. However, that philosophy was not the case this week. According to Wrestlingnews.co, this week’s SmackDown was rated TV-14 ins..

When Will The Miz’s New Show Debut On USA?

It had been previously reported that The Miz will be starring in a new reality show on the USA Network, entitled “Miz and Mrs.” The show will be a six-episode, half-hour series, that will feature the couple becoming parents for the first time. But, when will the show air? The A-Lister answered that question last night on Smackdown Live, saying that the show will premiere on Tuesday, July 24 at 10/9 C, immediately following Smackdown Live. You can see a clip of the announcement below: [This post contains video, click to play] The Miz and his wife, Maryse, welcomed their first child into the world, Monroe Sky Mizanin, on March 27 of this year. He is currently scheduled to compete in the upcoming Money In The Bank Ladder Match at the pay-per-view of the same name. Editor’s Opinion: I have to admit that I am very much looking forward to this mini-series. The Miz has been one of my favorite performers for a long time, and it will be neat to take a look into his personal life as a pa..

Sami Zayn Sends Out A Message Having To Do With Helping Those Who Were Affected By The Recent Events In Syria

Sami continues the cause. In the summer of 2017 WWE superstar Sami Zayn was able to launch his mobile clinic to help those affected by the Syrian War. Zayn set an exact goal of $96,000 and has appreciated what has been donated to the cause. So far, he has raised a total of $91,000; just a thousand short of his goal. Tears of joy on the proudest day of my life. Our mobile clinic in Syria is up & running! Original Host of ‘Blues Clues’ Wants to Fight John Cena for an Upcoming Role

16-time WWE Champion John Cena is no stranger to the squared circle or the acting world, but if a WWE.com article is to be believed, those two worlds may collide sooner rather than later. As we previously reported, an image was leaked on Twitter showing Cena auditioning for the role of host on a proverbial reboot of the Nickelodeon “Blue’s Clues” series. If you never saw the original, here is a small clip from the show: [This post contains video, click to play] Now that the original story by WWE has blown up, the original host of “Blue’s Clues” in Steve Burns has challenged the leader of the ‘Cenation’ to a match. Talking with TMZ, Burns discussed why the series is likely being rebooted, through which he explained that a lot of the millennial generation is nostalgic and often these people have their own kids who are ready to learn through a show similar to what their parents had. On Cena specifically, Burns had the following to say: “I think if John Cena is serious about hosting..
