WATCH: 24 Year Old Star Makes Surprise Return After Four Month Absence

Welcome back. A wrestler returning from an injury can be one of the more exciting things to take place on a wrestling show. If someone has been gone for a long time, it can be quite the moment to have them back. You never know when you might see someone pop back up, and sometimes they are thrown right into the middle of something important. That was the situation this week. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Get Well Soon: Missing WWE Star Reportedly Undergoes Shoulder Surgery This week’s edition of NXT opened with North American Champion Wes Lee issuing an open challenge for a title match, with the first wrestler getting into the ring getting the shot. Dabba-Kato almost made it to the ring first but Apollo Crews cut him off, allowing the returning Nathan Frazer to get inside for the title shot. This was Frazer’s first match since Halloween Havoc on October 22, 2022. Back on November 8, Frazer revealed that he was waiting on medical clearance from an undisclosed injury. Frazer went on to lose to..

NXT Results – February 28, 2023

NXT Date: February 28, 2023 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T. We are about a month away from Stand & Deliver and the card is starting to take shape. While nothing has happened yet and Roadblock is next week, you can probably figure out a lot of what is coming. One thing that is not entirely clear is what will be going on with Shawn Michaels and Grayson Waller, but maybe we can find out some more tonight. Let’s get to it. We open with a huge brawl of people trying to get to the ring to answer Wes Lee’s open challenge for a North American Title shot. Dabba-Kato almost makes it in but Apollo Crews jumps him. Nathan Frazer returns and gets inside for the title shot. North American Title: Nathan Frazer vs. Wes Lee Lee is defending. Frazer headlocks him down to start and holds him there for a good bit. That’s broken up and Lee nips to his feet for a standoff. Lee takes Frazer down but they’re right back up with lee being sent outside...

Join The Team: WWE Discusses Carmelo Hayes Coming To Main Roster For Specific Role

That would be a change. NXT stars are in a strange place as they are trying to get over in front of their own television audience but also trying to get over with the WWE. Their ultimate goal is to get to the main roster, which can come in a variety of ways. Occasionally it involves joining an established group and now an NXT star may be in the running to do just that. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: A Big One: WWE Reportedly Believes They Can Sign Kenny Omega According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is considering calling up Carmelo Hayes from NXT and having him join a reformed Hurt Business. There is no word on when this would take place, though the Hurt Business is currently not around. Hayes is a former two time North American Champion and has been rumored for a call up over the last few months. This is noted as still being seen as speculation rather than something definitive. Hayes is a star. Check out what might be coming to the main roster: [This post contains video, click..

NXT Vengeance Day 2023 Results

Vengeance Day 2023 Date: February 4, 2023 Location: Spectrum Center, Charlotte, North Carolina Commentators: Vic Joseph, Booker T. NXT is back on the road for the first time since Stand & Deliver all the way back in the spring. That is something that could do a lot of good for NXT and the card is pretty stacked as well. We have a bunch of title matches here, capped off by Bron Breakker defending the NXT Title against Grayson Waller inside a cage. Let’s get to it. Charlotte hosts the opening video, which features all of the wrestlers coming into what looks like a mini arena (probably at the Performance Center) and staring each other down. Commentary says they are on the road for the first time since they took over Portland over 1,000 days ago. North American Title: Wes Lee vs. Dijak Lee is defending and suckers Dijak into the corner to start. A missed charge lets Lee hit a slingshot hurricanrana (nearly taking out the referee in the process) to send Dijak outside. Back in and Dijak ..

LOOK: NXT Star Suffers Nasty Injury At Vengeance Day (Contains Slightly Graphic Photo)

Ouch! There are all kinds of injuries in the wrestling world and some of them can come out of nowhere. While several injuries are the result of years of wear and tear, occasionally you will see someone get hurt in the blink of an eye. Some of the worst instances of this involve injuries that are obvious to anyone watching, which was the case again this weekend with a nasty looking situation. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Hand Them Over: Multiple New Champions Crowned At NXT Vengeance Day The opening match of this weekend’s NXT Vengeance Day saw Wes Lee successfully defend the North American Title against Dijak. At some point during the match, Dijak suffered an injury to his finger, which appeared to be either broken or dislocated. Dijak finished the match with no apparent issue and there is no word on the nature of his injury or how long he might be out of action (if at all). FCKIN HELL!! Looks like Dijak broke his finger!!?? #VengeanceDay pic.twitter.com/kX6NQ3QeOb — ?????? (@WrestlingCo..

Hand Them Over: Multiple New Champions Crowned At NXT Vengeance Day

It was a busy night. Title changes are one of the most important things that you can see at a wrestling event. A new champion being crowned marks a changing of the guard, as you have someone else becoming one of the to stars in a promotion. It can mean even more if multiple titles change hands in a single night, which was the case this weekend in the span of a few hours. There were two title changes over the weekend at NXT Vengeance Day. First up, Fallon Henley and Kiana James defeated Kayden Carter and Katana Chance to become the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. The win marks the first title changes for Henley and James and also ends the record setting reign for Chance and Carter at 186 days. Later, Gallus defeated Pretty Deadly, Chase U and reigning champions the New Day to win the NXT Tag Team Titles for the first time. North American Champion Wes Lee, Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and NXT Champion Bron Breakker all retained their titles. It was a busy night. Check out the tit..

NXT Vengeance Day 2023 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts

Unless I’m forgetting something, this is the first time NXT has left Orlando for a televised event since Stand & Deliver over Wrestlemania weekend. At some point they just need to get out of Florida and heading to Charlotte is as good of a way as any. The card actually has me interested this time, though the television show from this week wasn’t so great. Maybe they can overcome that with a good one here so let’s get to it. North American Title: Wes Lee(c) vs. Dijak We’ll start off with one that can go either way as Dijak is a monster who can run through a lot of people and Lee is someone who could be champion for a nice run. This has been built up for a few weeks with Dijak speaking more and more like an 80s movie villain. Lee has turned into a much better star than I would have expected him to be and this is a tossup so far. I’ll go with Lee here, as it would not surprise me to see Tony D’Angelo and Stacks come in to cost Dijak the match. Dijak is someone who needs to be protected ..

That’s Unique: WWE Star Reveals Lengthy Absence Due To A Ruptured Breast Implant

That’s a different one. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and some of them are not so common. You might see someone get hurt in a way that you have not heard before, or at least not heard of in a very long time. Either way, it can put someone on the shelf for a long time and that was the situation last year, when a star went on the shelf with something you probably do not hear very often. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They’re Back: Full List Of Royal Rumble Returns (Injured Stars, Legends, Surprises) Zelina Vega missed about half of 2022 with an undisclosed injury. They’re In: WWE Signs Two More Former College Athletes

The roster grows. WWE has a roster with enough talent to fill up three weekly television shows, but those wrestlers have to be kept moving. At some point the roster is going to get a bit stale and needs some fresh blood, which is why WWE also brings in fresh talent every so often. Now they are doing that again, this time from other sports outside of professional wrestling. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Vince McMahon Agrees To Multi-Million Dollar Settlement, Ends 30+ Year Rape Allegation Ordeal PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE has signed two new stars to NXT. The Thinking Behind It: Here Is WWE’s Reasoning Behind Taking Money In The Bank To London

The big time. We are in a new year and that means it is time to start doing new things in WWE. That can include all kinds of new concepts, or perhaps doing something in a different way. WWE has a lot of options open to it and some of those can be rather interesting. One such change has already been announced and now we know a good bit more about how the plan came into being. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They’re Up? Former NXT Champions Make Main Roster Debuts Last week, WWE announced that it would be holding its annual Money In The Bank event this year at the 02 Arena in London, England, marking the first time the event has been held outside of North America. According to Fightful Select, WWE could have held the show in a stadium and sold it out, but they felt that the 02 is the “Madison Square Garden of England” and wanted to run the venue. In addition, running Money In The Bank in England makes the event feel like one of the biggest of the year. There have been some big ones. Check out ..

WATCH: WWE Referee Drops Sami Zayn With A Stunner At Live Event

From both sides! A wrestling match is not a complicated concept. You have (usually) two wrestlers in the ring at once with the match most often ending via pinfall or submission. That is a pretty simple formula, but at the same time there is often a third person in the ring: the referee. While the referee is supposed to be impartial, that is not always going to be the case. Now a referee has gotten involved with a match and changed it in a big way. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: WWE Releases Never Before Seen Roman Reigns Match Earlier this week, WWE held a live event in the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. In the show’s main event, Braun Strowman, Ricochet and Kevin Owens teamed up to face the Bloodline. Late in the match, Sami Zayn yelled at referee Jessika Carr, prompting Carr to hit him with a Stunner. Owens then came in and hit another Stunner to win the match for his team. A video of Carr’s Stunner has made its way online. It was a good one. Check out the Stunn..

With about five weeks to go before Vengeance Day, there is quite a bit of time to fill and some of that will have to be covered tonight. This week’s show will feature a North American Title match, as Wes Lee defends against Tony D’Angelo. Let’s get to it. Julius Creed is ready to prove a point against JD McDonagh, even if Brutus Creed ate all of the green bean casserole. JD McDonagh is glad that the holidays are over so people don’t have to pretend they like their families anymore. Julius Creed vs. JD McDonagh Julius’ brother Brutus is here. Feeling out process to start, though McDonagh claims a pull of the hair. They fight over arm control until Julius bounces off the rope to armdrag him outside. That means a drop onto the announcers’ table but McDonagh is back up with a posting as we take a break. Back with Julius..

NXT Results – December 20, 2022

NXT Date: December 20, 2022 Location: Capitol Wrestling Center, Orlando, Florida Commentators: Booker T., Vic Joseph We are almost done with the year and won’t have another live show until January, as this week and next week are taped in advance. The big story coming out of last week is Roxanne Perez winning the Women’s Title from Mandy Rose, who is already gone from the promotion in a surprise. That is going to lead to some fallout so let’s get to it. We open with a long recap of Perez winning the Women’s Title over Rose last week. Opening sequence. Carmelo Hayes vs. Axiom Trick Williams is here with Hayes. Feeling out process to start with Axiom’s headlock being countered into a headscissors. Back up and Axiom misses a kick to the head but grabs a northern lights suplex for two. Hayes’ springboard cutter misses hard though and we take a break. We come back with Axiom in control and grabbing a waistlock. That’s reversed into a crossface but Axiom slips away without much trouble. ..

REVIEW: Prestige Wrestling: Attribute Of The Strong – The Rare Hidden Gem

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net, starting today. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Attribute Of The Strong Date: June 29, 2019 Location: Bossanova Ballroom, Portland, Oregon Commentator: Joe Dumbrowski It’s another show from Independentwrestling.TV as I get everything I can out of a free trial. This is from Prestige Wrestling, a promotion out of the northwest with some names I’ve actually heard of for a change. I’m not sure what to expect from this but that can make it more fun at times. Let’s get to it. As usual, I have no idea what is going on here with characters or storylines s..

Back Soon: AEW Star Reveals Recent Surgery

You won’t be seeing him for a bit. There are a lot of different dimensions to wrestling, but at the end of the day, it is a physical sport that can cause a lot of damage to the wrestlers themselves. You never know when you might see someone get injured and be put on the shelf. Sometimes wrestlers need to get a piece of themselves fixed up and that seems to have taken place again. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Miro Offers Update On His AEW Return Status AEW’s Griff Garrison has revealed that he underwent a surgery in North Carolina this week. Garrison did not reveal the nature of his injury or how long he expected to be on the shelf recovering. Maybe Later? WWE Reportedly Canceled Battle Of Wrestling Families

What could have been. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be difficult to find a way to stand out. One of the most common ways is to be part of a wrestling family, as there have been several prominent ones over the years. Many of those families still have members active in WWE today and we almost saw two of them clashing over a pretty valuable prize. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: On Her: Ronda Rousey Explains What Happened During Survivor Series Botched Spot Earlier this year, Solo Sikoa, a member of the Anoa’i wrestling family, was called up to SmackDown as part of the Bloodline, forcing him to vacate the NXT North American Title in the process. It was not clear if this was a definite plan or just speculation. Sikoa and Breakker never faced each other in NXT. This could have been interesting. Check out wha..
