WATCH: AEW’s Thunder Rosa Records First Song

It’s another field. Wrestlers are very talented performers in that they are able to go to a ring or grab a microphone and convince fans to watch something that they are doing. That is more difficult than it seems but it can be very effective when it is done right. It also isn’t the only talent that wrestlers have though, and now one prominent name is getting to showcase another one. Seth Rollins Pays Tribute To Brodie Lee At WWE Live Event

Friends Forever. WWE recently ran a live event in Rochester, New York, which featured a match between Seth Rollins and Austin Theory for the United States Championship. Rochester also happens to be the hometown of Brodie Lee, who tragically passed away in December 2020. Following the match, Rollins paid tribute to Brodie and said the following: “Mr. Brodie Lee…he’s from here. He passed away a couple of years ago around this time, and this is the first time I’ve been here with a microphone in my hand in this city to tell him how much I miss him and how much I love him. I just wanted to say tonight was for him. Every time we are in Rochester, in my heart that means we’re here for him. Occasionally a change needs to be made and now a longstanding WWE star has done just that with a bit of a flashback. LOOK: Seth Rollins Switches Back To Classic Appearance On Monday Night Raw

Call it a flashback? There are several aspects that come together to make a wrestler into a star. While a good many of them come together when someone is in the ring or on the microphone, there are some aspects that you can see just by looking at a wrestler. The “look” is one of the most important qualities a wrestler can have and now one of the bigger stars in WWE has changed their look. This week on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins defeated Austin Theory in a singles match. Rollins wrestled the match while sporting a different appearance than usual, as he had dyed part of his hair blond rather than the usual all black look. The changed look is more similar to Rollins’ original look when he was part of the Shield. There is no word on why Rollins made the change or if this is a permanent switch. It’s pretty notable. If a wrestler is good enough with a microphone, it can open quite a few doors for their careers. This is the case for other industries outside of wrestling, and that was the case again for another legend who achieved quite the success outside of the ring. WWE Hall Of Famer Glenn Jacobs, better known as Kane, has announced that he has been re-elected as Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee on Thursday. This marks Jacobs’ second term in office with another four year term. Jacobs has still made occasional wrestling appearances while in office, most recently at Summerslam. Yesterday at WWE’s tryouts as a part of SummerSlam weekend, NBA star Dwight Howard made an appearance and cut a promo, showing off his skills on the microphone. WATCH: WWE Stars Appearing On New Game Show

It’s a different way to go. There are a lot of ways to present wrestling and some of them are not quite as traditional as others. While the most common way is to have wrestlers either in a ring or with a microphone, times have changed a bit and there are other places to see what they can do. That is the case again with a new game show, and now we have a bit of a sneak peak. Earlier this year, G4 announced that they were collaborating with WWE on a new monthly game show called The Arena. The series will be hosted by WWE’s Xavier Woods and G4’s Gina Darling and will feature WWE stars, professional athletes, games, streamers and more competing in challenges and pranks. Catch You Down The Road: AEW Star Stepping Away From Wrestling Business

It was nice while it lasted. Television time is one of the most important parts of a wrestler’s career. It allows more and more fans to see what a wrestler can do in the ring or on the microphone, but there is only so much time to go around. This is certainly true with AEW, which only has three hours of television time a week. Now there will be one less person vying for some of that time. AEW’s AQA has announced that she is stepping away from professional wrestling, citing both physical and mental health issues. AQA said that she has needed to take such a break for a long time now but kept pushing through instead. This comes about five months after AQA signed with AEW, where she has only wrestled on Dark. WWE’s women’s division has come a very, very long way and it is great to see what it has become. The main event of this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw saw Becky Lynch win a five woman elimination match to qualify for the Money In The Bank ladder match. WATCH: Special Victory Speech After AEW Double Or Nothing, With Special Guests

He deserved it. AEW had one of the biggest nights in its history over the weekend with its fourth annual Double Or Nothing event. The show was a star studded card, capped off by CM Punk defeating Hangman Page in the show’s main event. The title change was the only one on the show and felt like an important moment. It turns out that the night wasn’t over just yet. Following the end of the show, Punk grabbed a microphone and thanked the fans for coming to the show and their support over the years. FTR came to the ring to celebrate with Punk, who talked about how the fans helped make them the best in the world. That won’t go well. The fans are one of the most important parts of any wrestling show. While the wrestlers are the featured attraction, there is nowhere near as much energy without the fans around. Just look back at WWE’s shows in the Thunder Dome to see how much different things are without them. However, there are some lines that fans cannot cross, and that was done this weekend. Over the weekend at a Warrior Wrestling event outside of Chicago, AEW’s Thunder Rosa faced Athena (formerly known as Ember Moon in WWE). During the match, a fan reportedly shouted a racist statement to Athena, saying “tear her weave off”. Walter Seems To Unveil New Name With Controversial History

That’s in a name. The right name is one of the most important parts of a wrestler’s presentation. Going with the right name can make a career while going with the wrong choice can cripple a wrestler’s run right out of the gate. Sometimes you will see a wrestler change their name to something better or worse and now we have another interesting change taking place. This week’s NXT featured the full time debut of Walter, who has moved over from NXT UK. Walter defeated Roderick Strong in the show’s main event before grabbing a microphone. Following the match, Walter said that the winner of the match was “Gunther”, leading to a brawl between Imperium and the Creed Brothers to end the show. This comes on the same day PWInsider is reporting that WWE has filed a trademark for the name “Gunther Stark”, which is the name of a Nazi U-Boat commander during World War II. The card grows. We are close to the end of the year and that means it is time to get things going on the fresh calendar in a big way. WWE Hall Of Famer May Be Returning To The Ring

Reunion time? It is rather rare to see a wrestling couple that sticks around. While they certainly do exist they can be few and far between. Those that do last are among some of the better known names in wrestling though and it can be fascinating to see them work together. That is what we are seeing at the moment, and now we might be getting another one together for the first time. This week’s Monday Night Raw featured the return of Edge, who was interrupted by the also returning Miz and Maryse. Edge and Miz argued back and forth on the microphone, with Maryse insulting Edge as well. Not everyone can say that. There are a lot of different aspects to being a successful wrestler but one of the most important is being able to talk. At some point wrestlers need to find a way to communicate with fans and the best way is often through a microphone. If a wrestler can talk well, it is going to make ufp for a lot of their other problems, and one wrestler’s talking abilities have earned him a special privilege. NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes was a guest on Busted Open Radio where he revealed that he is allowed some creative control in his promos. A shot across the bow(ens). There are a lot of ways to get attention in wrestling and one of the easiest is by using a microphone. AEW’s Best: Even MJF’s Parents Can’t Stand Him

Does anyone like him? There are certain villains in wrestling who almost could not be a good person if they tried. These often make for the best heels in all of wrestling and it can be absolutely great to see some of these people allowed to let loose on the microphone. That is the case with one of the best villains going today but now he has gone another step beyond. This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite took place in New York City, the hometown of Maxwell Jacob Friedman. As a result, Friedman’s parents showed up at the event, with his mother holding a sign saying “we’re MJF’s parents and we think he sucks too.” Friedman’s father also wore an “I HATE MJF” shirt. VIDEO: Drew McIntyre’s Wardrobe Malfunction At WWE Live Event

Anything can happen. While you might not care for the quality of the show itself, there is little denying just how polished everything is in a WWE production. Between the lights, the pyro, the music and everything else that goes into it, WWE puts on a good looking show. There is always the chance of an error though, and this time the error was in part of the wardrobe situation. Over the weekend, WWE held a live event in Washington DC, which featured a street fight between Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal. McIntyre came to the ring, but could not get his kilt to come off. Ring announcer Byron Saxton had to help McIntyre, who ultimately took the microphone and asked if anyone in the crowd could help him get out of his kilt.
