Seth Rollins Pays Tribute To Brodie Lee At WWE Live Event

Friends Forever. WWE recently ran a live event in Rochester, New York, which featured a match between Seth Rollins and Austin Theory for the United States Championship. Rochester also happens to be the hometown of Brodie Lee, who tragically passed away in December 2020. Following the match, Rollins paid tribute to Brodie and said the following: “Mr. Brodie Lee…he’s from here. He passed away a couple of years ago around this time, and this is the first time I’ve been here with a microphone in my hand in this city to tell him how much I miss him and how much I love him. I just wanted to say tonight was for him. Every time we are in Rochester, in my heart that means we’re here for him. It’s a look. There are a lot of things that come together to make a wrestler into a complete star. In addition to everything that takes place in the ring and on the microphone, there is also the physical aspect. A wrestler has to do something to catch a viewer’s eye and the look is often the best way. Changing a look can be a big deal and now we are seeing a WWE star do so again. Last weekend at WWE Crown Jewel, Alexa Bliss and Asuka lost the Women’s Tag Team Titles to Damage Ctrl. Following the event, Bliss posted a photo of herself with all pink hair, as opposed to the blonde hair she sported at Crown Jewel. LOOK: Seth Rollins Switches Back To Classic Appearance On Monday Night Raw

Call it a flashback? There are several aspects that come together to make a wrestler into a star. While a good many of them come together when someone is in the ring or on the microphone, there are some aspects that you can see just by looking at a wrestler. The “look” is one of the most important qualities a wrestler can have and now one of the bigger stars in WWE has changed their look. This week on Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins defeated Austin Theory in a singles match. Rollins wrestled the match while sporting a different appearance than usual, as he had dyed part of his hair blond rather than the usual all black look. The changed look is more similar to Rollins’ original look when he was part of the Shield. There is no word on why Rollins made the change or if this is a permanent switch. It’s pretty notable. They’re not done yet. A major wrestling television taping can include all kinds of things in a given night. Some of them are more interesting than others, but there is something special about seeing something that is going to be aired on national, if not international, television. Sometimes though, you even get something that didn’t air on TV and that can be all the better. That was the case again this week. Following this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite in Cincinnati, Ohio, the Blackpool Combat Club came to the ring to celebrate with Jon Moxley, who told people to say a prayer for the injured Hangman Page. This brought out Ryan Nemeth, who Moxley referred to as Dolph Ziggler (Nemeth’s brother), before the Club beat Nemeth up for mocking Cincinnati. Roman Reigns Explains Amazing Summerslam Catch

He can do it all. The last two plus years of WWE have been dominated by Roman Reigns. Surrounded by the Bloodline, Reigns has been the Tribal Chief of WWE since he won the Universal Title in August 2019. There is nothing to suggest that he will be losing the title anytime soon, but at one point during his title reign, he did something rather impressive that earned some extra attention. The main event of Summerslam 2022 saw Reigns successfully defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Brock Lesnar. Before the match, Lesnar threw a microphone at Reigns, who caught it with one hand. Reigns was asked about the catch on the Impaulsive podcast and credited the catch to his baseball career. It’s a different way to go. There are a lot of ways to present wrestling and some of them are not quite as traditional as others. While the most common way is to have wrestlers either in a ring or with a microphone, times have changed a bit and there are other places to see what they can do. That is the case again with a new game show, and now we have a bit of a sneak peak. Earlier this year, G4 announced that they were collaborating with WWE on a new monthly game show called The Arena. The series will be hosted by WWE’s Xavier Woods and G4’s Gina Darling and will feature WWE stars, professional athletes, games, streamers and more competing in challenges and pranks. It was nice while it lasted. Television time is one of the most important parts of a wrestler’s career. It allows more and more fans to see what a wrestler can do in the ring or on the microphone, but there is only so much time to go around. This is certainly true with AEW, which only has three hours of television time a week. Now there will be one less person vying for some of that time. AEW’s AQA has announced that she is stepping away from professional wrestling, citing both physical and mental health issues. AQA said that she has needed to take such a break for a long time now but kept pushing through instead. This comes about five months after AQA signed with AEW, where she has only wrestled on Dark. Rather than having one promotion dominate everything these days, both WWE and AEW continue to battle for talent, as wrestlers will occasionally move from one company to another. It turns out that an AEW wrestler has caught WWE’s eye through his work in the ring. According to the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, WWE is very high on AEW’s Ethan Page. The company likes Page’s wrestling and microphone skills and are very impressed with him. However, Page signed a new multi-year deal with AEW last year, meaning that he will be unavailable for WWE for years to come.
