WATCH: International Star Announces He Is WWE Bound

He’s new around here. There are all kinds of stars on the WWE roster but the company has to constantly add in new names on a regular basis. The company can find talent from a variety of places and one of the most common is from other promotions. This could be from anywhere in the country, but sometimes WWE goes international, which is what they have done with another star. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: No Chance: Here Is What Vince McMahon Was “Vehemently Against” In WWE Contracts This Wednesday, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide ran their Noche de Campeones event in Acapulco, Mexico. During the show, Dragon Lee and Dralistico defeated FTR to become the new AAA World Tag Team Champions. Following the match, Lee announced that he had signed with WWE, with no word of what will happen to the titles. WWE later sent out a tweet announcing that Lee would be starting with NXT in January. Lee, 27, is a former Ring Of Honor Tag Team and Television Champion. BREAKING: @dragonlee95 has officially announced t..

Shorthanded: AEW To Be Missing Some Top Stars In Coming Weeks

It might be a bit. There are all kinds of talented wrestlers on the AEW roster, who have come together to help make the company as popular as it is. The company has been built around several different styles of wrestling, some of which have been around the promotion since the beginning. There is not room for everyone on the roster though, and now some of them will be missing in action for a bit. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Big Fans: Wendy’s Has A Prediction For AEW Best Of Seven Series According to PWInsider.com, some AEW stars will be missing from upcoming editions of Dynamite due to international commitments. First, Sammy Guevara, Tay Melo and FTR will all be missing from the December 28 edition of Dynamite as they will be competing for AAA in Mexico that night. That is some talent to have missing. Check out the ..

Sasha Banks Appearing At Wrestle Kingdom 17

The Boss is heading overseas. According to a report from PWInsider, Sasha Banks is expected to appear at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 17 event next month. It is unknown in what capacity she will be used, if at all, during the show. Banks has not wrestled since she and Naomi walked out on WWE before the May 16 episode of Raw. Both women were upset about the creative direction of their characters, and were subsequently stripped of the Women’s Tag Team Championships. From the report: Back in October, Varnado teased the idea of wrestling former WWE star KAIRI in STARDOM, which shares the same corporate owner as NJPW and recently did a crossover event with NJPW. Banks has been training at a number of places in recent months in the United States and Mexico. Banks recently made a number of trademark filings related to her given name as well as the terms Mercedes Mone’, Mone’ Talks, Bank Mone’, and Statement Maker under company name Soulnado, obviously preparing for her next m..

WRESTLING RUMORS: Rey Mysterio Out Of Action With An Injury

That could be worse. There are all kinds of injuries a wrestler can suffer and some of them are very different than others. You never know when someone is going to go out of action out of nowhere and the amount of time they are going to be on the shelf can vary greatly. Now we know about another WWE star who is on the injured list, but it might not be as bad as it seems. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Ouch: SmackDown Star Out Of Action Three Months Following Surgery According to Ringside News, Rey Mysterio was in a walking boot backstage at this week’s SmackDown. The specifics of Mysterio’s injury are not clear but it is described as short term. There is no word on when he will be back in the ring or when the injury originally took place. Mysterio last wrestled in a six man tag in Mexico City at a WWE live event on October 30. A healthy Mysterio is still pretty awesome. Check out what he can do in the ring: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: That’s never good to hear as M..

Update On Bandido’s AEW Deal, What Led Him To Sign

That’s a good reason. The rise of AEW has changed the way wrestling works in a lot of ways. One of the most important has been allowing a variety of wrestlers a new place to go, including some who have never gotten any exposure on a national stage. Wrestlers might be able to pick where they want to go and now we know why one of them made their own choice. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: AEW’s Television Future Could Be Very Promising Last month, reports surfaced that Bandido had come to terms with AEW despite having interest from WWE. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bandido chose AEW over WWE because he did not want to move from Mexico. Bandido has a partner and child in Mexico and working full time with WWE would not allow him to see them as often. Bandido’s deal is reportedly for three years and has a maximum number of dates included. Bandido started well in AEW. Check out his shot against Chris Jericho: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: That makes a lot..

WATCH: Rhea Ripley Messes With A Fan At WWE Live Event

That’s a different one. Fans are among the most important parts of any wrestling show as you need someone watching to make something matter. They can be at home or in the arena, but the latter gets a more special situation. Sometimes that is not as good as it might sound though, and that was the case for a fan at a recent live event, thanks to a certain WWE star. During a recent Sunday Night Stunner live event in Mexico City, Rhea Ripley was knocked to the floor and landed near the barricade. Before getting up, Ripley reached into the crowd and untied a fan’s shoelaces. Other fans can be heard laughing at what Ripley did as she rolled away from the barricade. Ripley was in Damian Priest’s corner this week on Monday Night Raw. This was pretty great. Check out what Ripley did to a fan: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: What you have here is a prime example of what makes live events special. It is something that you probably couldn’t get away with during a televised s..

Positive Sign For Sasha Banks/WWE Relationship

That’s a positive sign. There has been a lot of change on the WWE roster this year with several wrestlers coming and going from the company. Unfortunately some of them are leaving on less than great terms, leaving their future with WWE in a bit of doubt. However, as of this weekend, some of those terms might be heading in a more positive direction after a recent live event. According to F4WOnline.com, Sasha Banks was a guest of WWE at their live event over the weekend in Mexico City. Banks was spending time with Bayley and AAA wrestler Mamba, with the two going to a restaurant and a bar. While not confirmed, this would suggest that WWE and Banks are on good terms at the moment. Banks has not appeared for WWE since May 20 when she and Naomi walked out of Monday Night Raw. Opinion: I’m not sure what is next for Banks, but at least there does seem to be something moving in the right direction. Banks has been gone for WWE for the better part of six months now and the question now is when..

International Wrestling Star Undergoes Emergency Surgery After Title Match

That’s serious. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and unfortunately there is no way to know when one of them is coming. Sometimes you see someone get hurt out of nowhere and something has to be done immediately for the sake of their long term health. While details are still unclear, another wrestler had to undergo emergency surgery to deal with a medical issue. Impact Wrestling’s Laredo Kid has had a message posted to his Instagram page showing him in a hospital bed recovering from some kind of abdominal surgery. The post, translated from Spanish, says that Kid was forced to undergo emergency surgery after a match in Monterrey, Mexico for AAA. There is no word on what happened to Kid or how long he will be out of action. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Laredo Kkid (@laredokidpro) Opinion: That’s quite the serious situation and something you never want to hear about. I’m not sure what happened to Kid and hopefully he is able to heal up faster than expected and..

AEW’s Andrade El Idolo Reportedly On The Outs With AAA Promotion

It isn’t going well. AEW has been around for a few years now and the company has done rather well in its limited existence. The company has a devoted following and new stars continue to join the ranks. However, there are always going to be some problems for the wrestlers either in front of or behind the camera. That is the case for a current AEW star, but it isn’t in AEW itself. Earlier this week, AEW’s Andrade El Idolo and Sammy Guevara got into a Twitter spat. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, El Idolo is currently having issues with the AAA promotion in Mexico. This stems from TripleMania XXIX in 2021, when Kenny Omega successfully defended the AAA Mega Championship against El Idolo. This was reportedly a change of plans over El Idolo’s asking price for the appearance. The relationship continued to deteriorate and El Idolo has only wrestled for AAA once since then, back in April. El Idolo is scheduled to face 10 on this week’s AEW Rampage, with his AEW career on the line. Opi..

Yes, Again: Another AEW Star Hurt During Rampage Match

Yes again, but not too bad. AEW has a very talented roster but the company has been going through a nasty run of injuries in recent months. The company has had one wrestler injured after another and some of the wrestlers have been out of action over and over. That is the kind of thing that can take time to get over but thankfully the most recent injury might not be so bad. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW’s Rey Fenix was injured during the Lucha Bros vs. Private Party match on Rampage. Fenix was injured taking an atomic drop, hurting his ankle in the process. However, Fenix is said to be ok and has since wrestled another match in Mexico since the injury. It is not expected that he will be missing any time from AEW as a result. Opinion: This is the kind of thing that keeps happening in some way in AEW and there comes a point where it isn’t a run of bad luck or coincidences. I don’t know if AEW wrestlers are trying to go too fast or if they need more time in the ring or what,..

Controversial Star Returning To Wrestling After Nearly Two Year Absence

Welcome back? While WWE and AEW get most of the attention, there are a lot of other talented wrestlers performing elsewhere. That can open the door for a lot of fans to see stars that they new knew before, but sometimes these other promotions have stars that you have seen somewhere before. It seems to be the case again, and now a seemingly blackballed star is on her way back. Hurricane Pro Wrestling in Beaumont, Texas has announced that Tessa Blanchard will be appearing at their event on July 16. There is no word on what Blanchard will be doing on the show, though she is featured in the center of the post. Blanchard has not wrestled since September 12, 2020 for Warrior Wrestling. Since then, she has been living in Mexico with her husband Daga, following allegations of racist statements against a wrestler in Japan. She had been announced as part of the revival of Women Of Wrestling but her association fell through after a disagreement with the promotion. HPW – Sat July 16 – @FordPark,..

Multiple Ouches: Injury Updates On Several AEW Stars

There is a lot to go through. Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to a wrestler as you never know when someone is going to be put on the shelf. It could be for quite a long time or a short while, but either way it is something that can create quite the problem. That is the case again in AEW, but this time there are quite a few injuries at the same time. Fightful Select is reporting updates on several AEW injuries. First up is Matt Hardy, who suffered some sort of a knee injury over the weekend at AAA’s TripleMania event in Tijuana, Mexico. Hardy’s knee is said to have “major” swelling but it is not clear how long he might be out, if he is at all. In addition, Bryan Danielson is currently not cleared to wrestle at AEW Forbidden Door, though he is expected to make an announcement about his injury status. Next, Lee Johnson is currently out of action with a knee injury and is expected to be out of action for the rest of the summer. Finally, Darius Martin is also out of a..

WATCH: Sami Zayn Does A Great Roman Reigns Impression At WWE Live Event

That’s some serious flattery. Wrestlers are larger than live characters and you get to see them doing things that might not make the most sense but are still very entertaining. It can be a lot of fun to see wrestlers do their signature things over and over, but it can also make for some rather strong parodies if done right. That was the case this week and it is worth a look. Over the last few weeks, Sami Zayn has attempted to join the Bloodline. This has included Zayn trying to help the team as often as he can, often to less than successful results. On Saturday night, Zayn was facing Drew McIntyre in a match in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Later in the match, Zayn imitated Roman Reigns’ Superman Punch and spear through a table for a near fall. Zayn went on to lose the match. This is pretty awesome. Check out what Zayn pulled off in tribute to Reigns: [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can be a lot of fun in wrestling, as only a small number..

Welcome Back: Injured AEW Star Makes Surprise Return, Teases Big Showdown

They have a direction. A return can be one of the most exciting things in wrestling as you don’t know when you are going to see someone pop up again. It can make things all the more interesting out of nowhere, especially if it is something you have been waiting on for a long time. That was the case this week, as a star made his return and already seems to have a target. Rey Fenix made his return to AEW Dynamite this week and reunited the Death Triangle to take out the House of Black. While not confirmed, this would seem to tease a match between the two teams. Fenix has been out of action with an arm injury since January but has since returned to wrestling in Mexico. There is no word on when he is scheduled to wrestle again in AEW. Opinion: That is certainly great to see as Fenix was out of action for several months. The injury was so scary that I wasn’t sure how long he was going to be out of action but this seems to certainly be on the better side of things. Hopefully he can stay he..

WWE Legend Hints At Stepping Away From The Ring

Everyone does it at some point. There are a lot of wrestlers in the world but only a handful of them can be described as a legend. Even fewer can be considered a legend in their own time. That is the case with a small number of wrestlers today, but even they have to hang up their boots at some point. It seems that we might be seeing that again, as one legend could be suggesting. During a recent interview with Rasslin With Brandon F. Walker, Rey Mysterio said that he thinks he’ll “step back” when he feels his son Dominik Mysterio is ready to have his own career in the ring. Rey said he thinks that would be helpful for Dominik and hopes that it happens within the year. He did not however use the word “retire”. The Mysterios have teamed together since Dominik debuted in 2020, though they have both wrestled singles matches in their time. Rey, 47 years old, has been wrestling since 1989, having debuted in Mexico before coming to the United States. He has wrestled for ECW, WCW and WWE, alo..

Wrestling Legend Reportedly Undergoes Heart Surgery Due To Coronavirus Complications

That’s never good to hear. Wrestlers may play larger than life characters on television but they are still humans like all of us. That means they are going to have their good and bad days, with some of those days being a bit more serious than others. Occasionally this can mean a health issue, which was the case this week with a wrestling legend. Thankfully though, things seem to have gotten better. Alfonzo Lizarraga of The Gladiatores is reporting that Konnan has undergone heart surgery due to complications from the Coronavirus. While the situation continues to change, Konnan was considered stable as of Wednesday afternoon. There is no word on when the surgery took place or when Konnan will be released from the hospital. Konnan has been part of several promotions throughout America and mexico, most notably in WCW, Impact Wrestling and AAA. Konnan fue sometido a una cirugía de corazón por secuelas de Covid, aún que la situación fue y sigue siendo delicada todo indica que al momento es..
