Rampage Date: April 22, 2022 Location: Petersen Events Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Commentators: Ricky Starks, Taz, Excalibur We’re back on Friday this week as AEW has been trying to ramp this show up a bit more in recent weeks. That means more star power, and this week it means a title match as Jade Cargill is defending the TBS Title against Marina Shafir. Owen Hart Foundation Qualifying Match: Adam Cole vs. Tomohiro Ishii We go right to the ring (with Rocky Romero and Orange Cassidy at ringside) with Cole striking away but getting dropped with a chop. So long and farewell? There have been so many changes to the WWE roster in recent years and some of the biggest have been in NXT. The NXT roster has been ripped apart and there is almost nothing left from the show’s most famous stretch. These changes have not exactly stopped and now another longstanding NXT name might be on his way out. We might even have some evidence. According to Wrestlingnews.co, there is a chance that Roderick Strong may be on his way out of NXT. Strong and his wife, former NXT star Marina Shafir, have opened a Pro Wrestling Tees store. In addition, Strong has been losing most of his matches as of late, with his most recent victory taking place at NXT WarGames on December 15. This is seen as speculation at this point, though NXT has released wrestlers o little notice in the last year. Opinion: The more I think about it, the more I think Strong might be on his way out. At the end of the day, Strong is 38 years old and doesn’t exactly fit the mold that WWE wants. ..

She might have a new home. There have been a lot of huge shakeups in the wrestling world and quite a few of them have come from WWE’s massive series of releases. WWE has let go all kinds of wrestlers from its main roster and NXT, many of whom have now gone elsewhere. That can make for some surprising moments, another of which might be happening sooner than later. According to Wrestlinginc.com, AEW is planning to release a Marina Shafir shirt, which has already been announced by Pro Wrestling Tees. While not confirmed, this could suggest that Shafir will be signing with AEW in one way or another. Shafir has wrestled three matches on AEW Dark, starting in December, since her release from WWE on June 25, 2021, along with several other wrestlers. Shafir is a wrestler and also a former mixed martial artist, including being part of the Four Horsewomen with Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke. You have a lot of talented wrestlers in WWE and AEW but there are far more names outside of the two major promotions. That makes for some interesting situations as you never know when someone might pop up elsewhere. Now we have some more names available on the free agent market. Those clauses have since expired, meaning that main roster wrestlers released from the company are now free agents who are allowed to sign anywhere they like. These names include Ariya Daivari, Tony Nese, Fandango, Tyler Breeze, the Bollywood Boyz, Marina Shafir and Killian Dain. There is no word on where any of them will sign, though Dain still has a few legal issues to sort out before he can sign. Several of them have commented on their new status: Today, I'm officially a fre..

Longtime NXT Star Walks Officially Resigns

So long? NXT is about as unique of a wrestling promotion as you can find these days, as it serves not only as the official developmental territory for WWE but also as its third brand. That puts it in a strange place, as there are some wrestlers who become stars there but are instantly called up to the main roster. At the same time, you have some wrestlers who seem to be NXT lifers for one reason or another. This week, one of those names seemed to wrap up his time in the promotion. The Undisputed Era was the most dominant stable that NXT has ever seen. At one point, the company held every title they could in the promotion and completely controlled everything NXT had to offer. It saw all four members as some of the top stars NXT had ever seen, but now the team has been completely wiped out. With the team gone, we seem to have lost a wrestler. During this week’s edition of NXT, Roderick Strong, accompanied by his wife Marina Shafir, submitted his resignation to General Manager William R..

On the cutting room floor. Monday Night Raw is the biggest wrestling show in the world and with that comes a lot of pressure. While it is certainly a big show, it is also not always the best show and as a result, WWE tries to shake things up from time to time. Some of these changes are better than others but this week there was a chance to one of the bigger changes. Last month, WWE debuted a new concept called Raw Underground, which is basically an underground fight club with WWE wrestlers and extras in worked shoot fights in a back room. Shane McMahon serves as host every week and wrestlers such as Dolph Ziggler, the Viking Raiders and the Hurt Business have made regular appearances. Those are just some of the names, but even those who participated this week didn’t all make it to air. According to Fightful Select, WWE filmed several additional Raw Underground segments for this week’s show, including one involving Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke winning a fight each. Also planned was..
