A Tribute To Insult? Grayson Waller Takes Surprising Shot At Shawn Michaels After NXT

I guess he isn’t a fan. WWE has been undergoing a variety of changes in recent months and there is nothing to suggest that those changes are going to be ending anytime soon. While several of these changes have been taking place on the main roster, there have also been multiple changes in NXT. One of them does not seem to have set well with a top NXT star though and he let fans know about it this week. That sounds negative. There have been a lot of WWE returns in recent months and there is nothing to suggest that they are slowing down. There are some stars who have garnered quite the positive reaction, but not everyone has been that well received. Now another name is being rumored for a return and the response on social media has been quite negative to say the least. WRESTLING RUMORS: Former WWE Star Teases Third Run With Company

One more time? There have been a lot of wrestlers coming in and out of WWE over the years, some of whom have had much better success than others. While some might not have done so well, they might have left quite the impression. Those are names who can be very noteworthy themselves, and one of the more noteworthy names might be teasing another WWE run. Scott Hall On Life Support After Suffering Three Heart Attacks

Please get better. Wrestlers are a lot of things, including some of the most over the top, larger than life characters that you will see in all of television. They are able to showcase their abilities in front of a lot of people at the same time, ranging from television to live events. However, they are still humans, and that means bad things can happen to them, which was the case this week. PW Torch is reporting that WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall is on life support at a hospital in Marietta, Georgia after suffering three heart attacks. Hall underwent hip replacement surgery last week but a blood clot got loose to cause the issue. There is no word on Hall’s chances for survival or what his next steps will be. Hall was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014 on his own and again in 2020 as part of the New World Order. You Might Be Seeing Some Released WWE Names Again Soon

See you soon. Over the last year and a half, WWE has released a ton of wrestlers from the company. That is the kind of change that you do not see happen very often in wrestling and unfortunately it cost a lot of people their jobs. While it certainly changes how WWE works, it also changes how other promotions work as well. Now, some of those promotions are able to pick up more than a few new wrestlers as a result. On November 2, 2021, WWE released several wrestlers from their contracts. These wrestlers were on 90 day no compete clauses, which have now expired as of February 2. Therefore, the following names are now free agents and can sign wherever they like, appearing immediately: Keith Lee Karrion Kross Mia Yim Ember Moon Davey Boy Smith Jr. Oney Lorcan Gran Metalik Lince Dorado Eva Marie Nia Jax There is no word on where these wrestlers will appear. WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Star Likely Getting Name Change

Back to the old. A name is one of the most important parts of a wrestler’s overall persona as it tells the people a lot about what they are seeing. The wrong name can cause a lot of problems for a wrestler but thankfully there are ways to fix the problem. WWE has a lot of fixing to do and for once it seems like they are actually going to do something about one of their problems. According to Wrestlingnews.co, WWE has filed a trademark on the name “Piper Niven”, which is the former name of current Monday Night Raw star Doudrop. During Doudrop’s debut earlier this year, Eva Marie said she did not want to hear her name and dubbed her Doudrop instead. The name has stuck, even after Eva Marie’s departure from WWE. And it continues. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com, WWE has released 8 more wrestlers from its roster. This is in addition to the many releases that took place a couple of weeks ago. One Of A Kind: Specific Reason For Eva Marie’s WWE Release

It’s another career. Wrestlers have had hit and miss success with acting. Every now and then you see someone become a star, but those are few and far between. What you might see more of is a wrestler having some minor success while still wrestling at the same time. That seemed to be the case with a current star, but then things took quite the turn for both sides. Eva Marie was one of the 18 wrestlers released from WWE earlier this week. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this was partially due to her taking time off to do an acting project not long after she returned. Marie’s age (37 years old), lack of in-ring abilities and lack of getting over with the audience combined with her hiatus led to WWE releasing her. Here we go again. One of the biggest wrestling stories over the last year and a half has been the rapid fire releases from WWE. The company has released dozens and dozens of wrestlers in that time and it has become a scary time for wrestlers wondering about their future. We are at it again this week, as all kinds of wrestlers have been released from the company. According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, WWE has released another 18 wrestlers. The names include a mixture of main roster wrestlers along with wrestlers from NXT, plus some who are currently absent from television. There is no word on if more releases will be coming. Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis has cited budget cuts as the reason for the releases. Eva Marie Is Missing From WWE For A Special Reason

That’s your explanation. Wrestlers are some of the more versatile performers that you will see in any form of entertainment. In addition to all of the athleticism that comes to wrestling a match, wrestlers have to make fans believe in what they are presenting. That is rather complicated and hard to pull off, and it would make sense to have wrestlers get attention for their efforts. Now it seems to be paying off for a wrestler as a result. Back on the September 27 edition of Monday Night Raw, Shayna Baszler attacked Eva Marie, stomping her arm on the ring steps. Eva Marie has not been seen since, and there is no word on when she will be back on WWE television. New Grudge Match Set For Summerslam

There is still time. We are less than a week away from Summerslam and this year’s edition might be the biggest show that WWE has to offer all year. The show is going to be taking place in an NFL stadium for the first time, meaning WWE is going to be trying even harder than usual to make things work. That means they are going to add in everything that they can, which was the case this week. This week on Monday Night Raw, a match between Alexa Bliss and Eva Marie was officially added to the Summerslam card. The match comes after Marie has not been impressed by Bliss and her doll Lillie, which has caused Bliss to go after Marie in return. Lillie the doll has also seemingly used her powers to annoy Marie, as well as cost Marie’s associate Doudrop a match against Bliss last week on Monday Night Raw. Update On Natalya’s Injury Status After Monday Night Raw

Hopefully it isn’t too bad. An injury is one of the worst things to see in wrestling as it can take anyone down in the blink of an eye. What makes matters worse is it can take some time to find out how bad things are, which can span quite the range. Unfortunately that was the case this week and now we have to wait on the details of just how bad things are. We do know a bit more though. This week on Monday Night Raw, Natalya suffered some sort of a leg injury, which caused the Natalya/Tamina vs. Eva Marie/Doudrop match to be ended early. Natalya was helped to the back after the match ended. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Natalya suffered an ankle injury rather than a knee injury. There is still no word on how bad the injury is or if Natalya will miss any ring time. This is a messy situation. Natalya Potentially Suffers Injury On Raw

That didn’t look good. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Natalya appeared to have suffered a leg injury during tonight’s episode of Raw, during a match with Eva Marie and Doudrop. She and her partner, Tamina, were in the match, when Natalya appeared to suffer a right leg injury on either a roll-over or a foot stomp from Doudrop. Natalya tagged out and immediately had trouble putting weight on her right leg. The referee then apparently called an audible as Tamina took over, and after a distraction by Lilly on the big screen, hit a superkick on Eva for the pin to win. After the match, a ringside medic immediately helped Natalya to the back. Tamina joined the medic in helping Natalya, who was still unable to put weight on her right leg. Vince McMahon Impressed With New Monday Night Raw Story

He’s a fan. There are certain people whose opinions matter in wrestling and then there is Vince McMahon. Whether it makes sense or not, McMahon’s seal of approval is often all you need to become a top star. McMahon has given his approval to more than a few stories over the years and still does to this day, including a new story that has started out on Monday Night Raw. According to PWInsider Elite Audio, McMahon has become a fan of the Eva Marie and Doudrop storyline. McMahon was not a huge fan of the story in the first place but decided to give it a chance. During the first week, Doudrop stood up to Eva Marie and McMahon was sold on the idea, particularly the facials from both women. The story is expected to continue for some time to come. That might be a record. WWE is the biggest and most powerful wrestling company in the world, meaning that a spot on their roster is incredibly valuable to a wrestler’s career. Just being in the company for a cup of coffee is enough to nearly guarantee a run on the independent circuit. Since the company is so big, you are going to see a lot of roster turnover, but this one might top them all. Several Money In The Bank Ladder Match Spots Filled

The field is filling up. We are less than a month away from WWE’s annual Money in the Bank pay per view event and that means it is time to start getting ready for the show’s namesake matches. This time around that means WWE will be presenting the traditional men’s and women’s Money In The Bank ladder matches, meaning the matches need some participants. We now have quite a few of those set. Several Money In The Bank ladder match spots were filled during this week’s Monday Night Raw. Four out of eight spots were filled in the women’s match, with, Asuka and Naomi and Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss winning tag team qualifying matches, defeating Eva Marie/Dudrop and Shayna Baszler/Nia Jax respectively. There is no word on when the other four spots will be filled. That is going to get them in some trouble. It can be rather interesting to see a new star debut on WWE television, even if they have been on another show before. That can make for some fun situations as you do not know how the new star is going to be received. WWE May Be Doing Something Weird With New Monday Night Raw Star

That’s what’s in a name. A name can mean everything in wrestling and the higher of a level that the wrestler reaches, the more important it becomes. It can make all of the difference in the world to whether someone is a star or little more than a warm body on the roster. WWE has a hit and miss track record for their names and now they are trying something new with an established name. This week on Monday Night Raw, Eva Marie made her return to WWE television and was scheduled to face Naomi in her first match. However, an unnamed woman wrestled on Eva Marie’s behalf and defeated Naomi in less than a minute. The woman, who wrestled in NXT and in the Mae Young Classic under the name Piper Niven, was not identified by commentary, who did not seem to recognize her. VIDEO: NXT Star Makes Surprise Monday Night Raw Debut

Welcome indeed. WWE has so many different people on its rosters because there are so many different rosters. Some of these shows are treated as a bit more important than others, but there is still time for a lot of different people to get some attention. Every now and then you see some of them move around too, and that seems to be the case again, with a new name making their Monday Night Raw debut. NXT UK’s Piper Niven debuted during this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw. Niven came to the ring with Eva Marie and wrestled in her place, defeating Naomi in less than a minute. Eva Marie then announced herself as the winner and posed. Commentary did not recognize Niven and did not refer to her by name.
