Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Wrestlemania XVI Date: April 2, 2000 Location: Arrowhead Pond, Anaheim, California Attendance: 19,776 Commentators: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler This was one of the shows that tied for the most votes for a redo but I’ve seen Wrestlemania X, the other option, more times than I really need to and this sounded more interesting. Tribute to the Troops 2021 Date: November 14, 2021 Location: Toyota Arena, Ontario, California Commentators: Michael Cole, Pat McAfee It’s time for the big patriotic show, which is actually taking place closer to Thanksgiving this time around instead of the usual Christmas season. This one is airing on FOX to make it feel even bigger, though it is just a one hour edition which was taped last month at Smackdown. In other words, they don’t seem to be putting in as much effort this year. Let’s get to it. Lilian Garcia sings the National Anthem. Video on the troops and what this show means to WWE. Big E. vs. Dolph Ziggler Non-title and commentary does give a brief recap of their history. Robert Roode is here with Ziggler and dig those red, white and blue ropes. Big E. powers out of a waistlock to start and sends Ziggler flying, setting up some gyrations. A kick to the ribs slows Big E. down and Ziggler gyrates a bit as well. Elias Was “Offended” By Legends Taking Spots On Main Shows

Can you blame him? There are so many wrestlers in WWE at the moment and that is a rather good thing. You can never have too much talent to pick from, though sometimes that can present a problem for the wrestlers themselves. At some point you run out of places to put all of these wrestlers, and that can be a problem if someone else gets their place. That was the case again with one current WWE star. One of the main criticisms of modern WWE is the lack of new star power. This is made even worse when a legend shows up and outshine the younger wrestlers, which could be the case for a variety of reasons. If nothing else, WWE tends to treat its legends like huge deals and that can cause some issues for others involved. One WWE star does not seem to like the idea and has said something about it. What Is The Relationship Between Andrade Cien Almas And Zelina Vega?

Sometimes it just clicks. Earlier this year, Andrade Cien Almas and Zelina Vega were called up to the main roster after a very successful run in NXT. The two instantly clicked and have become a big time deal on SmackDown Live. They work very well together and know how to compliment each others’ talents very well. Of course that brings up a certain question from fans and Vega has answered it pretty plainly. Vega recently appeared on Lilian Garcia’s Chasing the Glory podcast to discuss a variety of topics, mainly focusing on her current partnership with Almas. During the interview she dispelled the rumor that the two of them are dating, saying instead that it’s more like the two of them are brother and sister who work very well together. SmackDown Live’s Paige Is Again The Subject Of Online Nude Leaks

Not again… SmackDown Live General Manager Paige is yet again the victim of an online celebrity video leak, according to Ringside News. Time and time again we have seen Paige become the victim of online video leaks. These pictures and videos have shown herself engaging in sexual acts with former WWE Superstar Brad Maddox, Xavier Woods of The New Day and another unidentified man. The latest set of leaks reportedly includes three new clips, all of which show the three men mentioned above in addition to Paige. It also brings the total time of footage to an hour, as Ringside News writes. In the past, Paige has been open about the leaks. She has said on Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia that she almost contemplated suicide in dealing with the leaks: “That scarred me. Lilian Garcia to Guest Announce First-Ever Women’s Battle Royal at ‘WrestleMania 34’

As announced by WWE.com, Chasing Glory host and veteran ring announcer Lilian Garcia will return to WWE TV to be the guest ring announcer for the first-ever ‘WrestleMania’ Women’s Battle Royal. On Sunday, April 8, fans will witness yet another ‘first-ever’ match as female competitors from both ‘Raw’ and ‘Smackdown Live’ including The Riott Squad, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Natalya will compete in a Battle Royal to determine who is the superior talent. WWE Champion AJ Styles was a guest on Chasing Glory With Lilian Garcia where he gave his opinion on himself and his relationships with other talents behind the scenes. The WWE Champion first gave his opinion on himself as a wrestler. “I try to stay humble and never assume anything because when you break down the word assume, you know what that means. Like I said, I never assume anything and in this business, you can’t. Again, things change so fast and you never know what’s going to happen, so I don’t assume, ‘oh, I’m that good’ or ‘I’m that [great]’. First of all, I don’t believe I’m that good or I’m that great. Lilian Garcia Makes Surprise Appearance At NXT Event

Former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia made a special appearance at Wednesday’s NXT event in England as she sang “God Save The Queen” to help kick off the show.The event took place at the First Direct Arena in Leeds and began with a moment of silence for victims of the Manchester bombing and attack at the London Bridge.Garcia then surprised the crowd with an appearance and sang the British national anthem.NXT’s event at the Manchester Arena that was scheduled for Tuesday was canceled due to the bombing and WWE instead sent Superstars to visit with victims/help <a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/raise/" title="raise">raise</a> money. While appearing on Lilian Garcia’s Making Their Way to the Ring podcast, Steve Austin talked about how he wouldn’t want a full time gig with WWE because he doesn’t like to travel.“I don’t like to travel anymore Lilian. It’s like when I was still in the WWE and my days before that because I give or take have been in the business thirteen or fourteen years until my neck crapped out and I got out of the business, I loved being on the road back in the day you know you’re a road warrior, you’re addicted to the road, then all of a sudden you’re out there and you’ve been on the road for ten, fourteen whatever more days and you’re thinking God dang man I really want to go home, and then you get home and you’re there for about a day and a half you’re like man I’m ready to get back on the road, so I mean it’s in your <a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/blood/" title="blood">blood</a>. But once you get out of the business—and it took me three years to get over getting out of the business, and I won’t tell that <a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/story/" title="story">story</a> because I told that story so many <a href="http://www.ringsidenews.com/tag/times/" title="times">times</a>, but my point is, you know when you’re in the business of being on the road with the WWE you’re a road warrior and that’s what you do, that’s your life, and you love it, and I’m very passionate about the business, it’s what I wanted to do with my life, it’s the only thing I wanted to do.
