WATCH: International Star Announces He Is WWE Bound

He’s new around here. There are all kinds of stars on the WWE roster but the company has to constantly add in new names on a regular basis. The company can find talent from a variety of places and one of the most common is from other promotions. This could be from anywhere in the country, but sometimes WWE goes international, which is what they have done with another star. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: No Chance: Here Is What Vince McMahon Was “Vehemently Against” In WWE Contracts This Wednesday, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide ran their Noche de Campeones event in Acapulco, Mexico. During the show, Dragon Lee and Dralistico defeated FTR to become the new AAA World Tag Team Champions. LOOK: Sasha Banks Back In The Ring Around The World

It could be a start back. There have been a lot of changes in WWE this year and some of them have been rather important. A few of them have involved wrestlers coming back to the company but there was one instance of two leaving, seemingly for good. Their situations have changed a bit in recent months, and now one of them might have taken another big step back towards wrestling. Back in May, Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out on WWE, vacating the Women’s Tag Team Titles in the process. Neither has appeared in WWE since, though their returns have been rumored in recent weeks. This week, LuchaLibre Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain posted a picture to its Facebook page showing Banks at their training facility. One of the comments said that she was at the facility training with the students. There is still no word on when or if Banks will return to WWE. IMG Credit: LuchaLibre Barcelona Facebook Opinion: I’m not sure if Banks is going to come back to WWE but it is nice to see that she is at lea..

WATCH: Rey Mysterio Makes Surprise Appearance For AAA TripleMania XXX

He doesn’t go here. WWE is the biggest and most powerful wrestling promotion in the world but it is not the only one. There are several other promotions around the world, some of which have their own legacies and histories. Their biggest events are among the most important in the world and that was the case this weekend. It was so big that a WWE legend made a surprise appearance. This weekend, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide held the third and final night of its TripleMania XXX show. The event marked thirty years of AAA and WWE Rey Mysterio made a surprise cameo via pre-recorded video. Mysterio talked about how important it was to wrestle at TripleMania and praised the company and wrestlers on the card. REVIEW: WrestleCon USA vs. The World 2022: The Better Version

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? WrestleCon: USA vs. The World Date: April 2, 2022 Location: Fairmont Hotel, Dallas, Texas Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Veda Scott This is about as obvious of an idea as you can get: take a bunch of wrestlers from WrestleCon weekend and put them in a bunch of matches, one country vs. the rest. This show has a tendency to be one of the weaker of the WrestleCon offerings but there are some talented people on the card. Let’s get to it. Warrior Wrestling Lucha Libre Title: Sam Adonis (USA) vs. La Hiedra (World) vs. Mr..

Another WWE Name Released After Nearly Thirty Years With The Company

He’s up next. One of the biggest wrestling stories over the last few years has been WWE releasing so many wrestlers from the company. There have been almost two hundred wrestlers released, but they might not be alone. In addition to all of the wrestlers, there have been some behind the scenes workers released too. Now though, another on-screen worker is being let go after a very long run with the company. Former WWE broadcaster Hugo Savinovich has posted on Instagram that Carlos Cabrera has been released from WWE after twenty nine years with the company. Cabrera worked with WWE as a Spanish broadcaster, formerly with Savinovich, though it is not clear why he was let go. There is no word on if Cabrera’s release will be the start of another string of people being let go from WWE. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lucha Libre Online (@luchalibreonline) Opinion: This is one of those situations that is almost hard to fathom. Cabrera is someone who has been around WWE for almos..

A Wrestling Promotion Is Changing From Live Action To Animation

That’s a different way to present things. Professional wrestling has been around for a very long time now and you can see it take place in all different forms. The style that was popular in the early days of wrestling is quite different than what we see today, which doesn’t even include all of the style changes along the way. Now though, we might be seeing something that has never been done before, even in wrestling. Aro Lucha, a lucha libre promotion, has announced that it will stop producing live wrestling events and move towards an animation project instead. In an announcement to its current investors, courtesy of Fightful Select, the company spoke about their decision, citing the Coronavirus pandemic, the market opportunity of the animation industry and the growing Latino and Hispanic market. The company has already begun working on the untitles animated series. Aro Lucha ran four events in Texas and Tennessee in December 2017 and January 2018, with most of its wrestlers now being..

WWE Scrapped Plans For A Pair Of New Championships

What could have been. There are all kinds of titles in the wrestling world and that can create a bit of a problem at times. With so many titles out there, it can be easy to have the title scene over saturated with champions. If a good percentage of wrestlers have a title, then the championships don’t mean as much. That has been a common criticism of WWE for a long time now and it was almost worse. In a post on his Instagram account, former WWE wrestler Jack Gallagher revealed that WWE had Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles created and ready from the time 205 Live debuted in 2016. The titles were purple and gold and were found on the prop truck which was brought to weekly television. They were never officially introduced either backstage or on television. Rules suggested for the titles included lucha libre rules for tag matches, meaning both feet touching the floor allowed the partner to come in, or trios titles. There is nothing to suggest that these titles will be introduced at any point ..

Wrestler Selling Lucha Libre Themed Coronavirus Masks

Every little bit helps. The entire world has been turned upside down by the spread of the Coronavirus and there does not seem to be much hope as far as things getting better in the near future. While things will get better in the end, the situation is not exactly looking great at the moment. Little things can make the situation a bit easier, and now some wrestlers are doing their part. One of the major problems with the whole Coronavirus situations is the lack of personal protective equipment for healthcare workers. As a result, it can make checking those potentially infected with the virus that much more dangerous, meaning a diagnosis can be a little more difficult. That is where the wrestling industry can step in, using their own brand of skills. According to the BBC, Mexican wrestler El Hijo de Soberano is making and selling lucha libre themed face masks for use to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Sobreano has been using the same material that he uses to make wrestling att..

Rich Swann Returns To In-Ring Competition

He could not stay away from the ring. Rich Swann had quite the whirlwind of a 2017 in a short span of time as he was once a WWE superstar, then he and the company mutually agreed to part ways, and following that Swann decided that he no longer wanted to be a pro wrestler and announced his retirement from the sport. In December of 2017 Swann was suspended indefinitely by WWE for violating their zero tolerance policy for domestic violence. Rich Swann and his wife Vannarah Riggs, also known as 'Su Yung' were involved in an altercation with one another that resulted in Swann being arrested. Rich Swann was arrested on charges of battery and false imprisonment, and in January of this year the charges that were placed against him were dismissed due to lack of evidence to find him guilty. The following month after being cleared of the charges Swann and WWE agreed to mutually part ways. After his departure from company Swann had dates lined up with the 'CRASH Lucha Libre' ..
