That’s not a good sign. The recent and ongoing changes in WWE have shaken up the company in a lot of ways. Some of these changes have involved wrestlers being changed entirely, with some of them not even appearing on television in recent weeks. That might be the case for a certain SmackDown star, who has not exactly had the best year so far and it might get worse. Earlier this year, Lacey Evans made her return after missing over a year on maternity leave. Evans has been moved from SmackDown to Monday Night Raw and back while only wrestling four matches on television. According to Fightful Select, there are currently no creative plans for Evans, whose scheduled match on July 29 was canceled, with Evans being listed as “not medically cleared”. A wrestler can be taken out of action for a variety of reasons and some of the worst are health issues. That seems to be the case again with a current WWE star who was scheduled for action this week, but there might be a bit of a silver lining to the whole thing. Lacey Evans was scheduled to face Aliyah this week on SmackDown but did not appear. Commentary said that Evans was not medically cleared to compete, with Shotzi taking her place and defeating Aliyah instead. It is not clear if Evans’ medical issue is a storyline or not, as was the case with Riddle earlier this week. There is no word on why Evans did not appear on the show. Can you blame them? The WWE women’s division has come so far along that it is almost hard to fathom just where things were before. The division has gone from little more than time filler to a portion of the roster that has headlined just about everything in WWE. That is a crazy accomplishment, but as time goes on, it seems that things are not as happy as they once were. According to Fightful Select, a group of women had complained to WWE about the lack of women being used on SmackDown earlier this year. With Charlotte taking time off and the returns of Asuka and Lacey Evans, the group was waiting to see how things went on SmackDown. There are a few more. With less than two weeks to go before WWE Money in the Bank, WWE still has several slots left to fill for the show. This includes multiple names for the show’s namesake matches but WWE has already gotten some of them covered. They did even more of that this week, as a few more names qualified for the men’s and women’s versions of the matches. Two more names were added to Money in the Bank ladder matches this week on Monday Night Raw, with one man and one woman qualifying. First up, Omos defeated Riddle to become the fourth entrant (along with Seth Rollins, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre) in the men’s match. Later, in the show’s main event, Asuka defeated Becky Lynch to join Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in the women’s match. Keep filling up those spots. We are coming up on WWE’s annual Money In The Bank event, which will be headlined by the show’s namesake matches. These matches are among the biggest that WWE presents all year with some of the more prominent names in the company competing for a guaranteed on-demand shot at the World Title. Now we know some more names who will be getting their shot. This week’s SmackDown saw three more names added to the Money In The Bank ladder match fields. First, both Sheamus and Drew McIntyre were added to the men’s match. This is the result of a decision by WWE management after last week’s qualifying match ended in a double disqualification. Later in the show, Raquel Rodriguez defeated Shayna Baszler to qualify for the women’s match. It can happen to anyone. There are a lot of ways for a wrestler to have their careers derailed and one of the easiest is through an injury. These things can pop up at any given time and some of them can be absolutely devastating. Unfortunately you never know when they are going to happen and it seems that we might have seen another one right before our eyes this week. This week’s edition of WWE SmackDown featured a match between Lacey Evans and Xia Li for a spot in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Evans won the match to qualify, defeating Li with the Woman’s Right. A video from after the match has made its way to YouTube, showing Li being checked on by the referee and medical staff. In addition to both versions of NXT, the main rosters are Monday Night Raw and SmackDown, which include all kinds of talented wrestlers who occasionally jump from show to show. That is the case again as a Monday Night Raw wrestler has moved to SmackDown (after a recent change). According to PWInsider.com, Lacey Evans has been moved back to SmackDown from Monday Night Raw. This comes after Evans was moved from SmackDown to Monday Night Raw last month after appearing in a series of vignettes on SmackDown. Evans appeared on Monday Night Raw and addressed the fans but never wrestled a match, despite being advertised to wrestle on the May 30 Monday Night Raw. There is no word on why the change was made. That’s a valid excuse? There are a lot of criticisms to be made about WWE and one of the bigger problems is that the company does not present a lot of the things that they advertise. This might be a segment or a match but it is rare to see a reason given for the change. It was the case again this week, and now we have a reason why, along with an official response. WWE had announced that Lacey Evans would be making her return this week on Monday Night Raw but Evans did not appear on the show, with no explanation or mention of Evans given. According to PWInsider.com, WWE decided to send Evans to the Coca Cola 600 NASCAR race on Sunday night as its Grand Marshall and she was unable to return in time for Monday Night Raw.
