That Looks Rough: Possible Injury For NXT Star

That doesn’t look good. You never want to see a wrestler get injured. In addition to not wanting to see someone in pain, you don’t know how long they are going to be on the shelf. It can be terrible to see a wrestler go out of action and there are some injuries that are worse than others. Now a popular NXT star seems to be hurt and it does not look to be the best situation. Io Shirai has appeared in a photo posted to social media from Easter Sunday. In the photo, Shirai is seen with a boot on her foot and crutches next to her. There is a chance that Shirai was injured during Stand & Deliver when she attempted a moonsault onto Kay Lee Ray (see the clip in the second tweet below). Shirai has not appeared on television since the show. It should be noted that there is NO speculation about Shirai’s injury, including how severe it is or if it has taken place whatsoever. Get Your Name Tags Ready: Even More WWE Names Being Changed

Yes, again. WWE does all kinds of things in any given week and a lot of them are business as usual. Occasionally they will get on a run of strange decisions though and it can make things seem a bit confusing. That has been the case as of late with a series of name changes, and now it seems that WWE is planning to change even more names, no matter how odd they may be. According to PWInsider.com, WWE is planning to change the names of two more longstanding members of the NXT roster. Kacy Catanzaro will now be known as Katana Blade and Kay Lee Ray will become Alba Fyre. There is no word on if this means either of the two will be called up to the main roster. This is part of Vince McMahon’s new rule that no wrestler can use part of their real name or a name they used outside of WWE. Opinion: This is WWE’s thing at the moment and it isn’t exactly something that makes the most sense. Big Shakeup To NXT Stand & Deliever Card, Plus Grudge Match Added

Time for the NXT shakeup. WWE does a lot of things right but there are some areas where they might need to improve a bit. One of these things is changing up matches and plans that have already been established and even advertised. That seems to be the case again, as a title match set for an upcoming show has expanded in a big way that hasn’t been done before. This week’s NXT featured the finals of the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Kay Lee Ray and Io Shirai won the tournament, earning a shot at the Women’s Tag Team Titles. However, Ray and Shirai announced that they would instead be adding themselves to the Women’s Title match at Stand & Deliver, where Mandy Rose is scheduled to defend against Cora Jade. This is the first time that the winners of the Dusty Classic will be challenging for a singles title. Missing NXT Star Says She Is Ready To Return

Welcome back. There are all kinds of wrestlers in WWE, to the point where sometimes you forget that they are still around in the first place. Some of them take some time away from the company at times, which can make for a bit of a sad moment for the fans. That being said, the big return can make it a lot better, and now we might be seeing another one take place soon. NXT’s Sarray has sent out a tweet (as translated by Google), revealing that she is returning to America after a few weeks in Japan. Sarray returned to Japan in mid-November for reasons that are not clear but is ready to return to America. There is no word on when she will be returning to NXT TV or to the ring. Several New Matches Set For NXT WarGames

The card grew. NXT has been completely changed over the last few months and you might not recognize quite a few of the people on the show at the moment. That can make for some very interesting changes and new directions, as a lot of what has worked before is gone. NXT is still trying to do something that they know work, and that will be the case again at WarGames. Now we know a lot more about what to expect. This week’s NXT saw three new matches added to WarGames, plus some gaps being filled in. She needs a minute. There are so many wrestlers in the world today and thanks to modern technology, it has never been easier to keep track of someone. That can even be the case when they are not wrestling, which has opened up a new world of access. Unfortunately not everything that you see or hear from a wrestler is positive, and that seems to be the case again with a certain star. NXT’s Sarray has sent out a tweet saying that she is back in Japan but will be back soon. The next step. There are several different levels to the WWE structure and you can see the path that a wrestler takes up through the ranks. You can often figure out how this is going to go, though NXT UK has added a new level to the ladder. Sometimes you will see a wrestler come from the United Kingdom and move up the ranks, which was the case again this weekend. Sunday at NXT Takeover 36, Raquel Gonzalez defeated Dakota Kai to retain the NXT Women’s Title. After the match, former NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray appeared on the stage for a staredown with Gonzalez. While not confirmed, this would suggest that Ray has been moved to the NXT roster. Come On Up? NXT Could Be Adding Another Former Champion

Welcome home? There are a lot of people on the WWE roster and it can be hard to find a place for all of them. The good thing is that WWE has enough rosters going at once to make things work out a little bit better. If someone is running out of things to do on one roster, they could move over or up to another roster and have a fresh start. There is a chance that is happening again. According to PWInsider.com, former NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray was seen at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. There is currently no word on if she will be appearing on regular NXT television in the near future. VIDEO: Title Change Takes Place On NXT UK

History has been made. There are all kinds of titles under the WWE banner these days and some of them are among the most prestigious in the wrestling world today. Throw in the fact that a longer title reign could make things all the more important and titles are even better. A long form champion losing their title can be a big deal and that was the case this week. This week on NXT UK, Meiko Satomura defeated Kay Lee Ray to become the new NXT UK Women’s Champion. The title win ends Ray’s record setting reign at 649 days, or over two thirds of the title’s history. Ray originally won the title back on August 31, 2019. Satomura’s win makes her the fourth champion in the title’s history, following Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm and Ray. The title match was Satomura’s second shot at Ray’s championship, following a loss in her first opportunity on March 4. Tyler Bate defeated A-Kid to win a heck of a main event, and now we could be in for a few different directions.
