LOOK: Liv Morgan Appears At New York Knicks Game, Gives Man The Cold Shoulder

She’s not having it. Wrestlers are celebrities in a unique way, as while they are certainly known to the public, they are rarely known for anything but their time in the ring. That does not offer them many options for getting their name out there otherwise, but it does happen occasionally. Now we are seeing it again as a WWE star had a moment that is likely to get her noticed. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Hi There: International Star Makes Official WWE Debut Liv Morgan was a guest at Tuesday’s New York Knicks game in Madison Square Garden to promote WWE’s upcoming live event in the same venue. During the night, Morgan was acknowledged as a guest of the team and presented with a customized Knicks jersey with her name on the back. Also during the night, Morgan was shown watching the game while a fan spoke to her, but she barely acknowledged anything he said. The Knicks’ Twitter account shared the clip, saying Morgan definitely did not hear a word of what was said to her. View this post on I..

REVIEW: WrestleMania 29: Round Two

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over ten years now and have reviewed over 5,000 shows. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I’ll be posting a new review here on Wrestlingrumors.net. It could be anything from modern WWE to old school to indies to anything in between. Note that I rate using letters instead of stars and I don’t rate matches under three minutes as really, how good or bad can something that short be? Wrestlemania XXIX Date: April 7, 2013 Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey Attendance: 80,676 Commentators: Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, John Bradshaw Layfield It’s Rock vs. John Cena II and I don’t think you need to hear anything else about the main event. With that match out of the way, the biggest name left is the Undertaker, who will be facing CM Punk in a match that might have been better had it been for the title. This time it’s personal though, as Paul Bearer had recently passed away, leaving ..

Bad News: WWE Superstar Reportedly Arrested Last Month Over Firearm Charge

It can happen to anyone. There are all kinds of problems that can take place in a wrestler’s life and those just involve what happens with their jobs. In addition to whatever can happen while they are at work, there is also the issue of problems that take place elsewhere. Now a WWE star is dealing with one of those issues and it is more than a bit serious this time. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Flashback: Cameron Makes Bold Claim About WWE Reunion With Naomi According to TMZ.com, WWE star Sonya Deville was arrested on February 19 in Atlantic City, New Jersey on a charge of possession a firearm without a New Jersey permit. A valet reportedly found the gun and called authorities, leading to the arrest. Deville has possessed the weapon since she was stalked by a fan in August 2020. The gun is registered to her in Florida but not in New Jersey and Deville has a hearing scheduled for later this month. According to PWInsider.com, Deville does not have heat with WWE management over the issue. Nei..

Sonya Deville Announces Engagement To Longtime Girlfriend

Love is in the air! People Magazine is reporting that Sonya Deville proposed to her longtime girlfriend Toni Cassano last week at a wine cellar cave in Towaco, New Jersey. Deville, whose real name is Daria Berenato, was in for a shock after Cassano said ‘yes’ to the proposal. Moments after giving her fianceé a custom-designed ring by Happy Jewelers in front of friends and family, she was shocked when Cassano pulled out an engagement ring of her own. From the article: “I proposed, then Toni’s like, ‘Grab my purse.’ And she pulls out a freaking ring box, and she’s like, ‘I’ve been carrying this around in my purse for four months. So whenever you proposed, I could give you a ring immediately back.’ “ “It truly was the biggest blur ever,” Cassano says of the romantic night. “All I remember is both of us shaking so bad.” Adds Bernato: “I could go on for days about the way I feel about this woman, I never knew love could feel so happy and safe all at the same time. I found my best frien..

One More: Former WWE Star Wrestles Final Match Of Career

Everyone has to hang it up sometime. Wrestlers can have a hard time walking away from the industry as you never know how long it might be before they can get out of the ring. So often a wrestler might try to have one more run or one more match, making retirements fairly rare. Now though, one former WWE star has announced his retirement and had his last match. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: No More: 53 Year Old Wrestling Legend Announces 2023 Is His Last Year In The Ring Over the weekend, Nova, formerly known as Simon Dean in WWE, wrestled his last match at a Stand Alone Wrestling event in his hometown of Tom’s River, New Jersey. AEW Full Gear 2022 Results

Full Gear 2022 Date: November 19, 2022 Location: Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Taz, Tony Schiavone It’s time for another AEW pay per view and that should be a good thing a the company certainly has the reputation for putting on great ones. The main events here are MJF challenging Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title and Chris Jericho defending the Ring Of Honor World Title in a four way match. Let’s get to it. Zero Hour: Best Friends/Rocky Romero/??? vs. Factory The Best Friends are missing a partner to start, though they had advertised a very evil mysterious partner. Chuck shoulders Solo down to start and it’s off to Trent. A knee from the apron cuts Trent off but he’s fine enough to drop Johnson. Everything breaks down and Romero hits the Forever Clotheslines on Johnson in the corner. Marshall gets punched by a variety of people and Cassidy rather slowly joins in. Cassidy takes so long setting up the big punch that Marshall falls down. The ..

AEW Rampage Results – November 18, 2022

Rampage Date: November 18, 2022 Location: Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey Commentators: Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho, Excalibur It’s the go home show for Full Gear and the show has quite a bit set up in advance. The main story is advancing a tournament whose finals have been moved from Full Gear to next week, which is the best option that AEW had all things considered. Other than that, we have a special guest star so let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Full Gear Contenders Tournament First Round: Ricky Starks vs. Lance Archer We start in the back (as originally planned and with Starks in street clothes) with the two of them taking turns sending each other into a metal garage door. Archer sends a backstage worker into a bunch of chairs and now they head into the arena, with Archer dragging him towards the ring. A right hand knocks Starks most of the way over a barricade and they go into the crowd with Starks diving onto him. They get to ringside, where Archer runs hi..

AEW Rampage Results – November 4, 2022

Rampage Date: November 4, 2022 Location: Jim Whalen Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey Commentators: Jim Ross, Excalibur, Mike Tyson, Tony Schiavone You might notice an interesting guest star here as Iron Mike Tyson is making another appearance for the company. I’m not sure how well that is going to go, but Tyson is likely going to bring some energy. The big match this week is a special appearance by Katsuyori Shibata as he challenges Orange Cassidy for the All-Atlantic Title. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Mike Tyson gets a special entrance. Video on Katsuyori Shibata, who hits people very hard and is back after what appeared to be a career ending injury. All-Atlantic Title: Orange Cassidy vs. Katsuyori Shibata Cassidy is defending. They stare each other down so Shibata grabs a headlock takeover. A headscissors gets Cassidy out of trouble before cranking on the ankle. Shibata misses the big kick to the head and gets forearmed off the apron, setting up the suicide dive...

Former WWE Star Set For Official Retirement Match

You have to hang it up eventually. Retirement is a weird concept for a lot of wrestlers as several of them have issues with leaving wrestling. Many of them have often stick around longer than expected as they can keep coming back for one more match here or there. Eventually everyone has to hang up the boots though and that is going to be the case with another former WWE star. According to Fightful, Mike Bucci, formerly known as Nova or Simon Dean in WWE, will be wrestling his final match on December 3. Bucci, 50 years old, will team with Aron Stevens (formerly known as Damien Sandow) and another partner to be named against Matt Cardona, Brian Myers and another partner to be named at Stand Alone Wrestling’s Contest Of Champions in in Tom’s River, New Jersey. Bucci began wrestling in 1992 and made his name in ECW as part of the Blue World Order. He has also wrestled in WWE and around the independent circuit. Opinion: This is one of those things that you know has to happen at some point..

REVIEW: Extreme Rules 2016: Extreme Rematches

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Extreme Rules 2016 Date: May 22, 2016 Location: Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey Commentators: Byron Saxton, John Bradshaw Layfield, Michael Cole It’s a night of rematches but in this case we have a few bonus stipulations to carry things forward. The main event is another match between WWE World Champion Roman Reigns and AJ Styles, in this case under Extreme Rules. The question here is who interferes and helps either guy pull off the win. Let’s get to it. On the pre-show, here are the Dudley Boyz with someth..

Monday Night Raw Results – July 25, 2022

Monday Night Raw Date: July 25, 2022 Location: Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York Commentators: Jimmy Smith, Byron Saxton, Corey Graves We’re officially in an all new era as Vince McMahon is completely gone and HHH is now in charge of creative. That may sound very interesting on paper but I would give it another week before you see any major changes. There might be some surprises here and there this week though as it’s the go home show for Summerslam. Let’s get to it. We open with Miz and Logan Paul mid-brawl in the ring with referees having to break it up. With that out of the way, here is the Bloodline for a chat. Roman Reigns gets to the point by having the Garden acknowledge him before handing it off to Paul Heyman. After the mic goes out (Heyman: “We have a sound guy that must be from New Jersey or something. We want your name written down. You’re the next one out the door.”), we hear about everything Brock Lesnar has done over the years. Lesnar has ruined a lot of..

Franklin Who? Arena Accidentally Advertises Some Funny Names For WWE Live Event

Wait…who? There are a lot of different aspects that come together to make a wrestling star feel important but one of the biggest is their name. You can only get so far with a bad name and that has been shown on more than one occasion over the years. WWE has a hit and miss record with naming its wrestlers, but this time around even what they had isn’t quite right. WWE has a live event scheduled for the Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey on August 14. There have been a few matches announced, but the arena’s website had listed incorrect names for the show. This includes “Seth “Franklin” Rollins” and “Ashule” instead of Seth “Freakin” Rollins and Asuka. The incorrect names were still listed as of Thursday morning but had been corrected later in the day. Had to see for myself that this is real. WWE is back. pic.twitter.com/OYYYUVal1c — Nationally Published Troll (@mongo_ebooks) June 9, 2022 Opinion: That’s the kind of error that might not mean anything in the sho..

Important Update On Roman Reigns’ Current WWE Status And Future

That sounds like a big relief. There are very few wrestlers who can be described as the face of WWE. Over the years you can see a few of them come up through the ranks, but it is very rare to have someone who is the focal point of the entire company. Those wrestlers are going to be among the biggest names WWE has ever seen, and now WWE might have some good news about one of them. Over the weekend, Roman Reigns spoke at the end of a WWE live event in Trenton, New Jersey, saying that he was moving into a new phase and did not know when he would be back in front of these fans. What Reigns meant was not clear, but according to Fightful Select, there is nothing to suggest that Reigns is leaving WWE or even taking time off. The speculation is that Reigns is expected to wrestle fewer non-televised events. There is also no word on him taking time off for any Hollywood commitments, though that is a possibility in the future. Opinion: Reigns’ comments were interesting, as they were vague enoug..

VIDEO: Roman Reigns Teases “New Phase” In Life, Not Sure When Crowd Will See Him Again

That sounds game changerish. There are very few people who have reached the point of becoming the face of the WWE. Those names are among the biggest stars the company has ever seen and one of them is not always around. It is a big deal when one of them steps away, and now we might be seeing the current one shift away, at least based on what he had to say this weekend. WWE ran a live event over the weekend in Trenton, New Jersey with Roman Reigns in the main event. Following the match, Reigns took the microphone to thank the fans for coming out, as he does at most live events. During his speech, Reigns said that he was moving into a new phase in his life and did not know if he would be back here again. There is no word on what that means or if this is part of a storyline. This could mean a few things. Check out what Reigns had to say (it is a big hard to hear): [This post contains video, click to play] Opinion: I’m not sure what that means but the idea of Reigns leaving WWE or even ..

Welcome to KB’s Old School (and New School) Reviews. I’ve been reviewing wrestling shows for over twelve years now and have reviewed over 6,000 shows. Wrestlemania XXXV Date: April 7, 2019 Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey Attendance: 82,265 Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Renee Young, Byron Saxton, Tom Phillips America the Beautiful: Yolanda Adams We’re back to this show after a year away and I’m not sure what to think about this one. I wasn’t in the stadium for this one and for once that is making me remember the show a little bit better. This whole thing is centered around a few matches, as Wrestlemania always tends to be. Let’s..

WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Hall Of Famer Arrested Yet Again

Yes, again. Wrestlers are people who play larger than life characters on television. It is the best way possible to get them noticed by an audience, though it is rarely a reflection of who they are when the cameras go off. When that happens, things can go badly for them just like anyone else in the world and unfortunately that seems to be the case again with a certain wrestling legend. According to Wrestlingnews.co, WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch, better known as Sunny, has been arrested again in Keansburg, New Jersey. Sytch is facing a list of charges, including: – OPERATING UNDER INFLUENCE OF LIQUOR OR DRUGS – DRIVING AFTER DL/REGISTRATION SUSPENDED/REVOKED – CARELESS DRIVING: LIKELY TO ENDANGER PERSON OR PROPERTY – RECKLESS DRIVING – FAILURE TO WEARSEAT EQUIPMENT-RESPONSIBILITY OF DRIVER – DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE – FAIL POSS DRIV LIC – FAIL TO POSS DRIV REG – FAIL TO POSS DRIV INS CARD – FAILURE TO INSTALL INTERLOCK/DRIVE CAR W/O INTERLOCK – OPERATE MV DURING LICENSE SUSPENSION-2..

AEW Rampage Results – February 11, 2022

Rampage Date: February 11, 2022 Location: Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey Commentators: Excalibur, Ricky Starks, Chris Jericho, Taz This show has its work cut out for it after this week’s pretty awesome Dynamite. They do have a pretty big card already set though as the Young Bucks are back in action against Roppongi Vice. That means we could be in for a Jay White appearance as well, plus maybe something more on Jon Moxley/Bryan Danielson later. Let’s get to it. Opening sequence. Young Bucks vs. Roppongi Vice Orange Cassidy is here with Vice and they’re already in the ring so we’re starting fast this week. Beretta sends Nick outside to start and so Matt comes in and get punched back and forth into the corners. The Bucks get kicked down though and heads up the ramp, with Roppongi Vice giving chase. That means the Bucks can hit stereo superkicks and try to beat the countout. Vice makes it back in time and it’s Romero getting caught with a neckbreaker/backbreaker combination...
