According to a report from Wrestling News, Chris Jericho has officially filed a trademark for the name “Jeri-show”, which was the name of his tag team that he had formed with “The Big Show” Paul Wight in WWE. The trademark request was filed by Michael E. A wrestling locker room is often as something like a family, as there are always going to be a lot of different people but for the most part, they tend to get along at least at a civil level. That is not always the case with everyone though, as there is always going to be someone who causes problems, including a certain wrestling legend during his main time with WWE. During a new appearance on Wrestling Shoot Interviews, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Sean Morely, better known as Val Venis, named John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) as the biggest backstage bully during his time with the company. Morely said that he considered JBL “a walking home entertainment center” and did not know how JBL was not fired for some of the things that he said. They are often there to guide the fans in a certain directions with the questions that they ask and one of the better interviewers around today is no longer a free agent. AEW President Tony Khan has announced that Renee Paquette (formerly known as Renee Young) has officially signed a deal with the company and joined the broadcast team. WRESTLING RUMORS: WWE Makes Big Changes To Commentary, Two Names Returning

It’s one of the important parts. There are all kinds of things that come together to make a wrestling show work. While the wrestlers themselves are the most important part, commentary plays a very important role as well. They serve as the fans’ guide throughout the show and take the stories where they are supposed to go. Now one of the most important commentary teams will be changing. According to Variety.com, WWE is making changes to all of its commentary teams. First, Michael Cole and Wade Barrett will be calling SmackDown, with Barrett replacing Corey Graves, who was filling in for Pat McAfee, who is on hiatus. Monday Night Raw will be called by Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves, with Byron Saxton and the returning Cathy Kelley conducting interviews. No one in the history of wrestling has come close to his level of authority and it is likely no one will ever get close again. Last week on AEW Dynamite, Maxwell Jacob Friedman cut a promo bashing AEW President Tony Khan and the company as a whole. The promo followed Friedman no showing a scheduled meet and greet over Double Or Nothing weekend. This has led to some questions, as the match is expected to be a six man tag, with Flair and FTR teaming with the Rock N Roll Express with a third person to be named. Brian Blair says that he is looking forward to seeing Flair facing Hulk Hogan, suggesting that Hogan will be the sixth man in the match. There are now all kinds of wrestling podcasts, where wrestlers are able to talk about whatever topic they choose, possibly answering fans’ questions or conducting interviews at the same time. Some of the biggest names in wrestling have a podcast, but now one of them is going to undergo a major, which didn’t come well. Ric Flair and former WCW broadcaster Mark Madden have ended their Flair Uncensored podcast, which saw Flair as host and Madden as co-host. However, the wo have gotten into a Twitter argument over what happened, which has spilled into an exchange of personal insults. Madden says that he left the show while Flair says that Madden was fired. AEW Star Confirms He Will Not Be Re-Signing With The Company

Catch him down the road. The AEW roster is quite the mixture of young stars, up and coming wrestlers and legends. The grouping has turned into a unique mixture, which has allowed AEW to present a wide variety of matches. AEW keeps bringing in new names though, meaning some wrestlers are going to have to leave. Now we know another one who won’t be back for the time being. During an interview with Instinct Culture, AEW’s Joey Janela announced that he will not be re-signing with the company when his contract expires on May 1. This comes after Janela had said that he would be re-signing in previous interviews. Janela said that while he is satisfied with his time in AEW, the company goes radio silent on wrestlers they are not going to renew. In an interview with Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Sabu has announced that he is likely retiring from the ring, but did leave open the door for a return. Sabu, 56 years old, says that he injured his back in a match last year and it is still causing him problems. He said that he wrestled a match earlier this year and felt he physically should not have done so as his body gave out. A new voice. Commentary is one of the most important parts of a wrestling show. The commentary team guides the fans through what they are watching and tells them where the promotion wants them to go. That is the kind of thing that can make or break a show and the wrong commentary team can be a bit of a mess. Now we are seeing an adjustment to one such team. AEW’s Ricky Starks was recently interviewed by WrestleTalk and revealed that he would be replacing Mark Henry as a permanent commentator on AEW Rampage. This comes after just six episodes of the show, with Henry being on commentary team since the beginning. Henry has still been conducting interviews before the main event. VIDEO: WWE’s Moving Tribute To Paul Orndorff

They do these well. One of the hardest things to do in wrestling, or anywhere for that matter, is say goodbye to someone. It can be even worse if you do not see it coming and unfortunately that was the case earlier this week with one of the best wrestlers of all time. Since the news only broke Monday afternoon, there was not much time to have any kind of a tribute prepared for that night. That has since changed. WWE has released a tribute to Paul Orndorff, who passed away earlier this week at age 71. The video features a brief biography of Orndorff, along with extensive footage of his in-ring career as well as clips of his interviews. While Orndorff never won a title during his time in WWE, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2005. WWE did air an In Memory Of graphic for Orndorff on this week’s Monday Night Raw and NXT. It is quite the tribute.
