Welcome back to the family. WWE has been shaken up in a lot of ways in recent months, both behind the scenes and in front of the camera. One of the biggest changes has been due to the amount of wrestlers who have been brought back. That can make for some very exciting television and WWE did it again this week, with a surprise return and debut taking place at the same time. This week on Monday Night Raw, Candice LeRae made her return to the company and main roster debut, defeating Nikki Ash. LeRae had been absent from WWE since late 2021 as she went on maternity leave. Her contract expired in May of this year and she chose not to renew it. LeRae’s husband Johnny Gargano is also on the Monday Night Raw roster, having returned to the company last month. A new report from Fightful Select outlines some of the plans for the WWE roster now that Triple H has taken over for Vince McMahon and is now EVP of Talent Relations. According to the report, Triple H is just getting started, and a “feeling-out process” has taken place regarding talk of reshaping the roster. This includes adding more depth in the form of past WWE talent that has either been released or didn’t re-sign with the company. This concept began to unfold during this week’s WWE programming, as Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Karrion Kross and Scarlett all returned to the company. While many of the wrestlers were released, there have also been some who have left on their own. That means they might be back one day, and now one of them has come back, at least for a visit. WWE has dominated the landscape for decades but now we have another option available in the form of AEW. Several wrestlers have either already jumped or seem likely to do so. Now it seems that the list of former WWE stars on the AEW roster might be growing soon. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, former NXT Champion Johnny Gargano is said to be “heavily considering” signing with AEW. Gargano has spoken about wanting to face various AEW wrestlers, including Kenny Omega. As Gargano’s WWE contract expired, he could show up in AEW at any time, with the possibility of a debut in his hometown in Cleveland, Ohio on January 26 being seen as a possibility.
